oh and you must scrutinize and go through your review and the story as many times as you can :) that's another must. And proofread your review before posting :3

I may sound quite rigid but you have to completely ensure that your punctuation, grammar, usage of words and your spelling must be absolutely good enough because you'll be the one reviewing and correcting their certain mistakes. If you didn't meet those qualifications then you wouldn't be able to differentiate their mistakes and you might not be able to correct them.
Those wore the just the basics. They're very important because that's the main essentials of English. (I believe x))
After that, whenever you'll be going through your rubrics, you should know how to comment precisely and you have to mention and elaborate (correct them) as much as you can.
And when you'll be commenting based on the rubrics, you must know the necessities and essentials of your comments.
Don't sound colloquial or informal and make sure that you'll write down what has to be involved and don't ever mention any futile things.
Oh, and be honest ;)

all the best ;)

and how B resulted to C* typo from my previous comment

and well, regarding spelling.... this would be a little difficult, because of the british english and american english, but... you could just type them out on google, i guess. :))))

and well, happy reviewing if you're planning to push through with it! :D

hi! i know i don't usually comment on blog posts and i'm doing now, because i want to help you and this will all be my tips from experience being a reviewer from before. i haven't really been reviewing for like the past 3 years, but anyway... imo, it's not really the grammar, spelling check, and the vocab that you should take into priority whenever you review. if anything, they come second.

what will make you a good reviewer is if you could identify the parts of the story, mostly. like the exposition/intro, the , up to the conclusion. you should know why a particular event resulted to something else like how A came to B and how B that resulted to B and so on. it can't be A skipping to C, without the B.

also, you should take note of the characters in the story and how they're practically built up by the author. is their character flat that they don't change in the entirety of the story or is their character round, that there are attitude/personality changes? that's the thing to take note of with regards to characters.

and of course, like i said earlier, the one that comes second... the grammar, spelling check, and the vocab. i don't think your vocab, , for a start. i mean... you know, having enough knowledge of something doesn't really make you useless when it comes to those. you must have at least basic knowledge about it and that's about it. grammar can't be corrected in word documents, so that's okay. maybe just take note of the fragmented sentences that don't seem to have complete thought or are incomplete.

for vocab, you just have to take note of their usage of words. like let's say the first part of a certain story was written too simple for you're liking and you think one word from that first part is a bit too complicated and wouldn't be understood by the majority, that's one. so you should point that out. that either the word used is too simple or too complicated that they tend not to complement with the sentences or paragraphs.
