Looking Back: MissA's First Win
It's hard for me not to literally cry every time I see this. I have seen so many artists win their first ever award in my nine years of being a Kpop fan, but nothing has made me cry more than seeing when MissA won their first award and it was mainly because of Min. I had been following her for so long and have yet to be attached to another idol the way that I am to her. Close second would probably be CL. The way she nearly collapse on stage after hearing their name being called out was so overwhelming. I can't even imagine how much it must've meant for her. A girl who gave up eight years of her life, sacrificed her family and friends back in Seoul to move to a brand new country by herself, in order to achieve her dream of becoming an idol. To have so many heartwrenching moments when she thought all of her hard work would go to waste and then finally, all of their hardwork... all of her hardwork, is acknowledged. My heart ached seeing her like that. Someone who hardly ever cries. It goes to show just how significcant getting that award meant for her and the thing is, that everyone knew. Everyone knew of her struggles. Her members, HyunA, and the rest of 4Minute.
I'm so proud to be a SayA and to say that these hardworking girls acheieved something that only other idols can dream to achieve in their debut year. They still hold the record (for female idol groups) for sweeping up all of the music program awards just a few weeks after their debut. Not to mention winning countless song of the year, best rookie group, and best dance group awards that same year.
I honestly can't wait for their comeback.
