Background: Sooyoung was born in Phoenix, Arizona with her mom, dad, grandmother and little brother. She loves her family dearly and never thinks about living her life without them. As a kid, her family didn't really do much because of her tight budget, but Sooyoung never really cared. She tried her hardest to make her life wonderful without the tight budget, so it never bothered her. She was an A+ student in school. Because of this, she got an oppertunity to go to South Korea to spend a semester of school there. She learned Korean well from her Grandmother speaking only Korean in her house. Her mother told her to take any oppertunites that come her way, so Sooyoung went over to South Korea and loved it very much. She never left South Korea. She graduated high school and college in Korea and loves her life there. Her family really is proud of her and her accomplishments. She still calls her family in Phoenix to know how they are doing. She also sends them a bit of money to pay off from sending her to South Korea as a teenager.
