background : she was born in nyc as an only child wih two parents who owned a food store in brooklyn. her grandparents first owned the store as they came to the united states, and passed it down to her parents to run. while it was a cute store, angie knew she didn't want to deal with the store when she got older. she was an extremely smart student and took her studies seriously. she got scholarships to get into prestegious schools in new york, and eventually got accepted into nyu, her dream university. while she had good grades, she didn't have too many friends because she was so focused on her studies, so she doesn't have a fond experience from university. however, she does have one experience that she tells everyone changed her life. she decided to study abroad to korea. it was her first time going to korea, so she was extremely nervous to go, however, she felt confident in her korean enough to get by. while in korea, she met so many friends and made so many connections. this is where she learned how to network with people. in korea, she met up with her extended family that didn't come to korea, and immediately got along with them. after her semester in korea ended, in her head, she made the decision to come back to korea over the summer. and thats exactly what she did when she graduated with her degree in communications. she called up her friends from study abroad that were still in korea and stayed with her family for her vacation in korea. she felt welcomed there, and started thinking about job opportunities. while networking with different people, she found an opportunity that led to working with aomg as a member of their pr team. it helped that she knew korean and english for sure, but her charm also helped.
after her relationship with wonjae ended, one of her co-workers jokingly told her to apply for love island, but the more angie looked into it, the more it looked appealing to her. so she auditioned for the casting call.
