Okay, okay, so I was just browsing a couple k-pop sites like allkpop, omonatheydidn't, and netizenbuzz, and I couldn't help but come across an artical where Myungsoo comments about how he's not satisfied with his face on one other their recent radio shows. And I know most people would beg to differ about that statement, but to Myungsoo, it's actually true. Because even though he's the visual of Infinite, he doesn't see himself as the most attractive mvember of the group. In fact, he comments many times about Sungjong, Sungyeol, and the other members being much more attractive to him. Because unlike some people who know they're attractive and flaunt it, Myungsoo just knows that he's attractive objectively because many of the people in his life have told him how attractive they find him. And to Myungsoo who just sees himself as Myungsoo, he doesn't see why people think he's that attractive when people like Sungjong or Sungyeol or Sunggyu or any of the other boys exist, because to Myungsoo, they are a lot more attractive than he is. Myungsoo understands that people think he's attractive, but he doesn't see that in himself.

Yeah, there are times where he'll state that he's the best or he looks the best, but when he says those things, it's usually for something that requires him to be confident and project a confident image. He doesn't really believe that he's the best, but if you say you are and act like you are, then it comes across that way and makes him seem confident and sure of himself, something that he uses a lot to portray L correctly. So yes, L may think he's attractive, but Myungsoo just sees himself as a normal boy with normal features. Because to him, Sungjong and Sungyeol are more attractive than him, Sunggyu has better eyes than he does, Woohyun and Hoya have better bodies than he does, and Dongwoo has these intersting features that make him attractive, and to Myungsoo who views himself as plain, it's really endearing to see that he's humble and that he does see himself the way he does.

Because, even though Myungsoo is very attractive, he could have embraced those looks and become a narcissistic arsehole because of them, but because it's Myungsoo who's awkward and weird and just really precious he doesn't embrace them like that. And that's one of the reasons why I love him so much, because even though he has good looks, he just doesn't see himself as super attractive and that's what makes him more attractive and precious.

However, his looks seem to have a doubleedged sword and I can't help but get a little pissed when I see people commenting on how talentless Myungsoo is and that he got to where he is today because of his face or just because he's attractive, then it must mean he's an . And when I see stuff like that, I just want to punch someone, because stuff like that is so fundamentally wrong and if you have seen any of their shows, you would realize that he does have talent, he is more than just a pretty face, and he's not an in the least.

Sure he may have some moments where he says the wrong thing or may be insensitive, but what boy isn't on occasion? What girl isn't on some occasions (girls on their period, anyone, I'm sure many of you girls act like es during that time of month)? So I have no idea why people want to peg him so negatively, because really, he's just a sweet boy who is trying his hardest at everything he does.

Yes, he may not be the best singer of Infinite, because Sunggyu and Woohyun are always going to be light years ahead of everyone in the group when it comes to talent, but that doesn't mean Myungsoo is terrible. In fact, Myungsoo has improved dramatically since his debut days and is actually really talent with this really cute, but unique singing voice. Sure he may be a bit limited to what types of genres he sings, but he has enough talent to sing songs all the way through and do well at them.  He's a good singer that doesn't need backtracks or lipsyncing and he's improving every day, so even though he's not as good as a singer as some other idols out there, he still has a lot of talent. 

Yes, he may not be the best actor out of Infinite as Sungyeol and Hoya are very talented actors, but that doesn't mean he's talentless. Because he did wonderful in Jiu (yeah, it was his first drama, but he learned a lot from it), Shut Up! Flower Boy Band (literally, his character Hyunsoo stole the show, so you can't just not say he didn't do well in that when most people fell in love with Myungsoo's character. And that crying scene? It was wonderfully done and very emotional and basically brought most people to tears, so really, how does that make him talentless), and his short stint in What is Mom (It got canceled just as it was getting quite popular, and it was just bad luck that it got canceled.). He's learned a lot and he tries really hard to do his best, and he may not have that natural talent, but his hard work and enthusiasm is what helps him do his roles well. 

And just some food for thought, but Myungsoo is one of th emore innocent and less experienced members of Infinite and hasn't experienced heart break or first loves and stuff like that, and a lot of times, experiencing those things helps with things like acting and using those experiences are helpful when emoting well. So for how talented Myungsoo is now, he'll become a lot more talented at acting and have a more easier time with it as he grows as an adult and actually experiences things like that. So even though he's not very experienced and hasn't had as tough a life as some of the other members, he's doing a pretty good job at it. So yeah, he may not be as talented as Hoya, but he has enough talent to make believable characters and get the audience to sympathise with the characters he plays, and for an actor, that's a pretty damn hard feat sometimes. 

And yeah, Myungsoo may be the visual of the group and get some extra perks for that, but that happens to every visual in a group. They are going to get gigs and stuff based on looks because that's how a lot of things work in entertainment industry in Korea. It wasn't like Myungsoo chose to be the visual, but was assigned to be the visual from the company. So when one complains about him being the visual, it wasn't a choice for him to be that, especially when he sees the others in his band as more attractive than he is. So this definitely means that he does not need to be bashed for something that is out of his control.

And his photography? He's really talented at that and many photographers have commented on his skills. So he has a lot of talent up his sleeve, so people need to stop saying he's talentless, when he really is.

Yeah, sometimes his L facade makes him look a bit like a douchebag to some people, but that's L and not Myungsoo. And even then, his stage persona wasn't entirely his choice to have, because like his visual status, the company did force that persona on him. Because if you look past the L facade he has, Myungsoo is a very odd, unique, and interesting individual who literally has problems staying upright. He's awkward and just not the best with people like some of the others and sometimes has problems with word vomit. So because of that, Woollim just couldn't allow their visual go around acting like an awkward dork who talks too much sometimes, so they had him be silent and look cold. So that personality you see on certain appearances where he has to be L, don't judge him because he acts like that sometimes.

Because when he's Myungsoo, he's one of the sweetest, caring, and one of the most sensitive boys out of Infinite. And that's not just something I'm saying, but something the other members have said on many occasions. Sungjong thinks he's like a pineapple, prickly on the outside, but really sweet on the inside. Or how Sungyeol mentions how Myungsoo is probably the most innocent of the boys and that his face really doesn't fit his sweet personality. Or how Dongwoo and Sunggyu seem to love him like a brother, or how Woohyun and him get along well, and even though Hoya and him don't spend as much time together as some of the other members, but Hoya still looks at him with respect and likes him a lot because he's Myungsoo. All the guys love him and don't have any problems with his temperament or his behaviour, so obviously they must be experts at handling s, or they really care about the boy and think he's a very sweet and kind boy. And if anyone knows Infinite, it's the latter, so for all those people who just judge solely on looks, you need to get checked, because Myungsoo is a sweetheart. So don't think he's an because of the one or two times you've seen him, when there are tons of variety shows and other things that prove that he is not the you think he is.

Like seriously, how the frack does one get out of this boy, because it's like going from A to B and then skipping all the other letters to get to Z. Because really, what cries when they win awards for their hardwork? What cries when he reads letters from his mom? What is willing to put the group first when it comes to interviews and shows? What likes to take care of the other members and make sure they're all right? What likes skinship to the point that he needs to be freaking hugging everyone in sight? What is willing to put 110% in everything he does? What gets embarrassed and nervous when he has to show something as simple as his abs? The list can go on and on, and it astounds me that people get vibes from him.

Because obviously, if you're saying Myungsoo's any of those negative things, then you don't know Myungsoo at all and you're judging based on looks, rather than his personality. Because when it's something like that, it's just terrible to do, because not everyone can help how they look. Looks are determined by genetics and for Myungsoo who hasn't had any plastic surgery, he ended up lucking out quite a bit.  So as I see it, it's obvious that these people don't pay attention to their shows and what Myungsoo actually does for his band, friends, and family that make him not an in the least. If anything, he's just a regular guy that cares too much about his friends and family and is prone to those 'guy moments' that every guy has or every person has, because not everyone is freaking saint all the time. And if those couple of moments of insensitivity  that's what makes him an , than that must be true for every guy idol out there, so as I see it, calling Myungsoo an is invalid. 

I mean, how would you like it if someone went up to you and told you that your bias is an or not talented or anything that wasn't true and the reason why they can't stand your group is because they just want to judge people prematurely without trying to get to know them. Like seriously, I get that everyone has different views and opinions, but to outright say something like that about their character is just downright maddening and insulting. Just gah, it's annoying--rant over and done with.
