Hi guys. :D I was supposed to do this yesterday, but I didn't because I wanted to make gifs like before. But due to my faulty photoshop, I decided to just it and fill it with whatever i find in the internet. Here goes.

 I was kind of upset with this album because it has only 8 songs, if we exclude the Intro and the Encore then that's only 6 songs. If we also exclude the Alright and the I'm Sorry songs, then that leaves us 4 songs. Excluding the Shadow also, thheeeeeeen, 3 songs. Damn it.  =__=

Yes, they have finally came back! My exams began yesterday and I was very happy listening to this album while cramming the information. This album is ing greater than their previous mini-album. I guarantee you that.  Let's start then.

Hard to love, How to love

1. Intro

I don't even know why I included this but Junhyung's the only one in here and what he said was really commendable. It's actually a good intro in terms of music and its lyrics. I like these two stanzas, especially the part "Some people hate me or some people love me. But it's just music, listen without bias."

So many things happened to me and the only thing that hid me was music

2. Shadow

This is their title track for the album. I had my assumptions before, like they're going to do an School AU type of mv, but unfortunately, I was wrong. I feel like they're going to do something else with that get-up like how "I like you the best" was released in their concert. I'm anticipating a lot of things, really. 

• Music

                  I was hoping for something similar to Black paradise. I told you guys before that it was gold. But! This track is also gold. Why? All the things that I was complaining to you before, everything was solved here. The singing arrangements, especially. I was shocked that they put Doojoon in the chorus! And that makes it all better! Can you imagine Doojoon at the chorus? No, I didn't at all. It was really an unexpected move from them. Hyunseung's "Because I'm shadow, shadow, shadow..." was really awesome. Really, there's nothing to complain here. Yoseob didnt' have an explosive high note but it's okay. It didn't need that high note. I'm just glad they made this the title track. I'm just sold.  

• MV

                 Whoever edits their video, directs it, is ing awesome. I watched Yoseob's Caffeine MV, and although I didn't blog about it, the mv was really marvelous especially the returning of Yoseob's heart as he burns and such. Anyway! Take that video as an example and multiply it to ten or hundred, that's how ing awesome this MV. I talked this theme before they released it to beautifulyoebo though in a School AU theme. I said that it'd be good if they made it like everyone has their bad side/ alter ego/ shadow. And yes, it was achieved in here. I feel that it's similar to Bigbang's Monster theme, how they became monsters in the end, but this MV can stand on its own. Especially the effects, reflection, how the girl had an alter ego, skulls, tattoos, this was their best MV. Best MV! Btw, Baek's dog is here from Good Boy, haha.

• Lyrics

                So it seems that Junhyung wrote all the songs? I read the lyrics and it was really good. Every word of the lyrics was associated with the concept Shadow. Of course, it won't make sense if it's not, but there are  songs like that, temporarily introducing a concept then changing it to something else. I like the part: "Even if you’re a path of fire, I’ll jump into you" There's a lot of good things in the lyrics, I already have a lot of prompts because of it.

• English

The "Because I'm shadow, shadow, shadow" was fine. Junhyung's english rap is okay. But Gikwang's english part needs more work, and the part where Hyunseung, Dongwoon, & Yoseob says "You're my last" and Yoseob repeats it. It seems like left and it's just not clear.

• Dance

                I won't miss this part. The dance is not so much shown in the video, but, the part in the chorus where Doojoon sings and this is their dance. I wanted to show you guys in gif but I can't do gifs right now. Anyway, I just lost it when Yoseob did it. 

3. How to love

This was a really sweet track. Especially the lyrics. I have nothing much to say about this really. The music matches with the lyrics, so yeap. It might be the softest sound in  the album, but the lyrics make up for it. I think I'll make something about this.

4.  Be Alright

This was the most controversial track for me. It seemed as if Junhyung written it with Hara on his mind. More like everything in the album seemed to be for Hara. This was controversial because Junhyung included a curse word here and it seemed as if Junhyung was convincing himself that yeah, everything's going to be alright. I'm surprised that they didn't do anything about this. It might receive some flames later because of the curse word, but it was censored with a blip. I think this is one of the songs they're gonna showcase like the It's not Me single. There was a part in the lyrics: I will erase you, who was so thick and deep in me"    I don't know it just seems like an innuendo of some sort . I'msorryformyedmind.

5. I'm sorry

I'm upset that they included this in the album as one of the unreleased tracks. They should've made 2 more songs to replace the pre-released songs. If I were to buy the album, I feel like I only bought it just to listen 4 offical songs. I already reviewed this before. But I think I'm changing my opinion about it. It's better than Will you be Alright. 

6. Will you be Alright

Same with the complaint on I'm sorry. Also reviewed this before. For me, I like this the least in the album. It sounds good in some parts, but I'm just so-so for this. 

7. You're Bad

I really like this track because it's cheerful and bright. It just makes you dance happily. Which I did, everytime I played this song even when I was on the train. The song arrangements are also jumbled and it's just really, really good. Their voices are highlighted in this song. And Yoseob had his high note here guys. Even though it blended on the background. It took a lot of time for me to understand the second verse, Neomu Nappa,nappa, but I miss you, miss you. I'm hoping they showcase this at Music shows.

8. Encore

Is this like an outro of some sort? Well, this is the 8th track, so it makes sense if it was. I imagine them jumping around and dancing random stuff because it's really a fun, loud track. Kind of like VIU.

Thoughts about the Album:

Junhyung apparently produced this album. For me, it can be on par with their first album, Fiction and Fact. So Junhyung, good job. I heard that he was very pressured on producing this one. Great job, Junhyung. ^^ It also said that Dongwoon grew the most during the recording of the album that Yoseob's main vocal part was threatened. Junhyung even said that he wanted to give Yoseob's part to Dongwoon and even though that hurt my Junseob heart (Junhyung do you have to be so honest?>.>) I feel glad for Dongwoon. 

If you guys have read my reviews before, I kept saying that Beast will win because of B2uties no matter what they released, crappy or not. Shadow is a song that I'll raise no matter what happens. No biases, because it is just gold. I hope with this, they earn a shot for Gayo Daejun again like FIction. 

Also, yes Yoseob had gone for the mature look. Look at those arms, hahah.

Anyway, yes, I'll buy this album, even if there's only 5-6 songs that I need to listen. Btw guys, raise the views for Shadow in Beastofficial's channel. It was fun seeing the comments on how they're trying to raise until 1 M.
