Background:
Eun Mi was born in San Jose, California and lived with her parents, older brother, and twin brother. She had a pretty good life with her family there. Her father worked as a corporate businessman while her mother worked as a bankteller. Eun Mi had only lived in San Jose until she was 5 though because her parents got a divorce. Eun Mi's mother, Ji Soo, caught Eun Mi's father, Tae Kyung, having an affair. Immediately, Ji Soo left the house with her three children. However, Tae Kyung refused to let her take all of this children so he took Eun Mi's twin brother, Eunwoo, away from them. Ji Soo left California with Eun Mi and Eun Mi's older brother, Kim Jonghyun (of SHINee) and went to her hometown in South Korea: Busan. There, Ji Soo got a job as another bank teller. Her job pays a lot and she is able to support her family well. Eun Mi and her family live in an apartment complex that is very spacious for the three of them. Eun Mi grew up basically in South Korea. She doesn't talk much to her father and doesn't hear much about him and her twin brother from their mother. Throughout middle school and continuing (right now) in high school, Eun Mi has continued to do well in school.
Eun Mi gets straight A's and wins a lot of awards in school. She participates in a lot of events at school and tutors as well. While she's been doing that, her brother Jonghyun had auditioned for SM (right when they got to Korea), became a trainee, and debuted in the group SHINee. Eun Mi had to deal with the fact that her brother was a famous idol, as well as deal with all his fans. She learned to deal with it her entire life, which also lead to her becoming wary of who her true friends are. Eun Mi searched through the internet when she was bored one day and stumbled upon a Youtube channel. She had found her twin brother, Kim Eun Woo, online. He turns out to be in a dance group in his high school. Eun Mi and Jonghyun don't talk to their father at all, so they don't know how he's doing. Eun Mi found her twin brother's Facebook and always wondered how he was doing, but she didn't have the courage to message him in fear that he would forget who she was. Little did she know, Eunwoo was feeling the same way. At home ever since she was 13, Eun Mi would always experiment with the different types of ingredients at home to make different coffee for her mother. Eun Mi thought it was time for herself to get a job since 2 out of 3 people in the family were making money. The Coffee Shop Eun Mi always goes to on the way home from school needed baristas, so Eun Mi applied for the job. Eun Mi just about loves coffee and even frapps that don't have caffeine. Before Eun Mi found the Coffee Shop, she would always get Starbucks. She knew she could be good since she is always successful with making good combinations. Her friends sometimes would buy some off her.

Mother: Kim Ji Soo (Kim was also her family name before she married) : 42 : Bank teller : Ji Soo and Eun Mi are very close. Ji Soo supports Eun Mi in whatever decision she makes, as long as they are sensible ones. Ji Soo likes to joke around with her daughter a lot and is very friendly towards Eun Mi's friends and such. Ji Soo is a very open person and likes "embarrassing" her children a lot. Ji Soo lets Eun Mi have freedom, but disciplines her correctly. Eun Mi can openly talk about her problems with her mother, and Ji Soo always has a way of finding out what's wrong with her children.
Father: Kim Tae Kyung : 45 : Businessman : Tae Kyung and Eun Mi barely ever talk now. All Eun Mi knows is that her father is still a businessman, but he married another woman and has a stepson. Tae Kyung favors his wife, stepson, and Eunwoo over Eun Mi and her family.
Siblings: Kim Eunwoo : 16 : Student : Eunwoo and Eun Mi haven't interacted ever since their parents got divorced. However, since they are twins, they do have a special connection. Eun Woo and Eun Mi long to contact each other, but don't have the heart to in fear of what the other twin might think. There are times where their connection has shown: when Eun Mi got hurt in a tennis match, Eun Woo felt pain in his lower back for a few days. Eun Mi and Eun Woo haven't talked in years.

They have a love-hate relationship, including a lot of sibling fights and arguments. At the end of the day, they love each other. Jonghyun is very protective over Eun Mi. Bestfriend: Park Eve : 16 : Student : Believe it or not, these two best friends are the exact opposite of each other. Eve is rude, lazy, aggressive, and tough. They balance each other out. Whereas Eve needs help on homework from Eun Mi, Eun Mi needs Eve's toughness. Eve is such a negative person. They too have a love-hate relationship and always call each other names. However, they do look out for each other and are very close. They understand each other and can tell what the other is feeling just by looking at their facial expression. Eve is one of the very few people that can see past Eun Mi's smile.
Friends: : Jeon Jeong Guk : 17 : Idol, member of BTS : Jeong Guk and Eun Mi are very close. Eun Mi and Jeong Guk used to go to the same high school until Jeong Guk left his studies to focus on his idol life. They continue to be very good friends and he keeps in touch with her through phone and computer. Eun Mi is very supportive of Jeong Guk, like she is with Jonghyun. They joke around with each other and sometimes go get coffee/snacks together. They can be considered siblings since they're so close with each other. Jeong Guk considers Eun Mi his best friend. Since Eve doesn't like participating in school events, Eun Mi and Minah always pair up together to do rallies, talent shows, etc. They hang out with Eve during lunch, and they all talk with each other. Minah is Eun Mi's information person because Minah knows all the gossip around school. Minah and Eun Mi have a mutual friendship, though sometimes Minah gets annoyed by Eun Mi's childish personality.

Personality: Jongup is an awkward turtle when you first meet him, but once he becomes closer with you, he starts to become a funny, nice, and weird person. Eun Mi hasn't had the courage to confess because she thinks he probably likes someone else and won't be able to date because of him being an idol.
Interaction: Eun Mi and Jongup act very playful around each other. They tease and insult each other at times. They give each other gifts on each other's birthdays. Jongup enjoys Eun Mi's hyper personality, as it matches with his 4D personality. When he can, Jongup goes to Eun Mi's tennis matches and cheers her on to support her. (When he becomes an idol), Eun Mi will be supportive and go to his music shows. Sometimes, he'll even invite her backstage to meet the other B.A.P. members. Personality: Sungyeol is very random and a bit of a diva. He laughs loudly and likes to pick on people for fun. He's a bit of a prankster and likes to use people's weaknesses to his advantage. He's a jokester and likes to make people laugh. Though he's like this, Sungyeol is also polite and respectful to his elders. Sungyeol enjoys seeing people suffer from his pranks and games. He thinks it's funny. Sungyeol tries to create a fun atomsphere for everyone by making them laugh. He's an overall sweet guy and is pretty cool.
How you meet: Sungyeol is enjoying a free day and runs into Eun Mi while she is hurrying back to the Coffee Shop with bags of supplies in her hands. He offers to help her, but she quickly declines, not wanting to burden anyone. Without asking her, Sungyeol takes two bags out of her hands and follows her to the Coffee Shop. She tries to get them back, but only ends up dropping some of the supplies in a bag. He helps her pick it up and tells her it's okay for him to help. Together, they walk to the Coffee Shop. He then continues to come there every day.
Interaction: Sungyeol and Eun Mi are a bit alike, and Eun Mi doesn't like it. She states he "steals her thunder" when he makes everyone laugh and be happy when she was supposed to do it. Therefore, they banter and argue a lot. Sungyeol enjoys teasing Eun Mi about her height and calling her "shrimp," while Eun Mi insults Sungyeol about his appearance and how she prefers Sunggyu in Infinite over him. Sungyeol and Eun Mi have a love-hate thing going on, but it's more of a hate. Sungyeol is the only person Eun Mi gets annoyed at.
