LETS BEGIN WITH THE BASICS

Name: Yu Ha Na (prefers Yuna)

Nickname: Hyena (her laugh resembles one when she's laughing at something extremely funny. Her childhood friends called her this when they were kids and it seemed to stick with her and follow her wherever she goes ; sadly) - You Choco-holic (her obsession and love for chocolates has driven her to be called as such. Chocolates is the equivalent to coffee in her opinion - without it, she feels as though she's had a withdrawal. She's a choco-holic)

Age: 19

Birth Place: Manila, Philippines to Ulsan, South Korea

Birth Date: March 21st

Ethnicity: Korean/Filipina

Spoken Languages: Fluent; Tagalog - Semi-Fluent and still learning; Korean - Learning; English and Japanese

Habits: Walks on tip toes when barefoot ; hums whilst eating something delicious - she can't help it ; sleepwalks and is found the next morning holding chocolates and sleeping by the refrigerator ; Pokes people's cheeks often times just to get a reaction out of them ; Eats very messy and says "I eat for sustenance, not to appear cute" ; Often times walks barefoot on soft grass ; Bites her inner cheek when in deep thought ; her head to the side when confused ; Sleep talks ; Unknowingly stares at people ; Forgets to enter people's houses barefoot since she's not originally from Korea - it's still a habit she needs to work on ; Updating her fashion blog with some of the clothing she either has created or has purchased.

Family: SooYoung (her cousin in Korea), Sura (her aunt in Korea), Hae Joong (Yuna's uncle in Korea), Bayani (Yuna's father back in the Philippines), Sora (Yuna's mother back in the Philippines)

How did you come to attend this school?: Yuna has always had a passion for fashion, a passion of making her own clothing, a passion for becoming a stylist, and a passion for all things bright and colorful. Knowing that she wouldn't be able to help her aunt and uncle through their struggles without attending college and making a career for herself, Yuna, with the money her parents had saved up for her, decided to use it to go towards her college education (as well as her younger cousin's). Being that it was a very competitive school - Yuna didn't think that she'd be able to be accepted, since the college 'lowkey' looked at the financial status of the students and not necessarily the overall scores of the students. Although the college would be quite a ways from her relative's house, Yuna wanted to go to this one in particular because she felt as though it was a top school and would help her boost her career.

Financial State: Her family back in the Philippines were wealthy - the familiy she lives with in Korea are less than middle class

Likes: Fashion, Bright Colors, Chocolates (sweet, delicious, scrumptious, tasty, mouth-watering chocolates), Adventures, Spontaneous Individuals, Laughter, Positivity, Photography, Artistic Souls, Video Games

Dislikes: Confrontation, Inconsiderate Individuals, Negativity, Heart Ache, Violence, Feet (other people's feet), Birds (she's had a bad experience with them when she was younger), Sour/Foul Smells, Cucumbers, Cheese

Grade Average: 3.25

I WANT TO KNOW MORE

Personality:

Yu Ha Na is the type of girl that just loves to go out and have fun regardless of where she is. She loves to make adventures out of nothing and always end up having the best time after doing so. She's the type that just likes to take life by the reigns and go for the things that she wants and desires the most. She's constantly laughing and goofing around. Most people are typically shocked whenever she opens to speak because it is, of course, such a huge contrast to the type of person she may seem to be. However, looks can be very deceiving. She's not the quiet one whom people may think she is, her voice isn't that calm or soothing when speaking to her. Oh no. Instead, you can usually hear Yuna before she even enters a room. Yes. This girl is loud! She certainly has a mouth on her in ways unimaginable. She laughs loud and talks loud. But, it's not in a way to annoy people or make people run away. Instead, it's the type of loud that one wouldn't expect to come out of a small girl such as her. Just like her speaking, her laughter is another topic to be discussed. When she laughs, it's almost as if a hyena has magically appeared in the room. Her laughter is husky, repetitive, and a combination of three laughs in one; the high pitched, husky, snorting type of laugh. Yes. Her laughter and her speaking can basically...well, speak for her when it comes to the type of girl she is. She constantly leaves an impression on the room. Why? Well, it's because (not speaking of her fashion sense), she's not afraid to 'go there' in a sense. She knows that it's polite to be seen and not heard (or so her mother says at time) however; Yuna likes to interact with people, she likes to charm a crowd, she likes to get people laughing, she likes to make people smile. She tells jokes, she acts a little goofy and silly (makes funny faces, pushes her nose upwards and inwards, snorts, laughs uncontrollably, poke her friends' noses and cheeks, nudges people). It's all for fun, right? She's what her friends may call 'Captain Charisma'. She's not afraid to speak to someone, to befriend them, to interact with them, and to lighten up the tense atmosphere in the room. Her friends often times claim they could never be like she is, however, whenever they are around her, they tend to be just as silly (if not sillier) than Yuna is. It's nonstop positive energy whenever all of her friends are together. People usually know that the party immediately starts whenever they walk in.

Yuna, too, is the type of person who loves to be spontaneous. She's extremely daring and bold. She loves to do dares (her friends often times send her on many tasks since they dare her to do it) and Yuna never backs down from the challenge. It doesn't matter what the dare involves (well, yes it does - they know not to cross the line of ual dares or dares too gross). The dares in which Yuna is infamous for is getting on top of tables in public places and doing a table dance, skipping out on paying for meals at restaurants, confusing people by speaking in more than one language whenever she is around them, and going up to people holding baby dolls and exclaiming "Are you my baby's father?!" Yuna loves traveling and going on crazy adventures with her friends. She's always calling them up trying to get them out of the house (it's rare for Yuna to stay indoors - even rain can't keep her inside. She'll dance in the rain, jump in puddles, or be over the top). Of course, because they know that being with Yuna is the equivalent of having an amazing time, they're all down for the cause. If not, she'll whine and blackmail them to come out with her.

Yuna can be somewhat selfish, though. How? Well, let's just say the girl doesn't like to share. No, it isn't that she doesn't want to share her clothes, shoes, accessories, purses, etc, with her best friends - we're not talking about selfish when it comes to that. (/looks around/) We're talking about the fact that Yuna is selfish with sharing the sweet, succulent, scrumptious, delicious, mouth-watering treats known as (/le gasps/) chocolates! Yes. Yuna is selfish when it comes to sharing that. She's extremely overdramatic, too. For example - her friends know that they can get a slight reaction out of Yuna if they ask her if they can get a piece of her chocolate or if they sneak and get some themselves. Yes. So, purposely, they will go 'Yuna, can we perhaps get some of your chocolates since it's raining and we don't want to go out and get some for ourselves'. Immediately, Yuna will take off running for her chocolates and grab them, holding them against her chest as she stares at all of them wide-eyed as though they are out to get her. She will back up into a corner and tell them 'Oh no! No way! Hell no! You will not, shall not, better not, dare not, have a piece of these! These are mine! Mine! You can have anything you want - my clothes, my jewelry, my shoes, hell, take my money! But never, never touch my chocolates!' And then she will dramatically run into the other room and hide her chocolates (or eat them). Although Yuna knows that they do this on purpose, she just falls for it every time considering chocolates are like her vitamin - chocolates are like her life...they are precious to her...special - she just can't give them chocolates that easily.

Yuna, too, can get easily annoyed and aggravated. It can either be that she gets annoyed with those around her if they bother her by picking on her constantly (i.e her friends constantly asking for her chocolates) or if people around her are rude and inconsiderate (like some people fussing at waitors or being confrontational and mean for no reason whatsoever). She doesn't like negativity and whenever it comes her way it just seems to cause her entire mood to change because of it. She, too, has a slight habit of rolling her eyes whenever she doesn't like something (and since her eyes are slightly round and large - when they roll, they roll!) If she is around someone she doesn't much care for, she'll roll her eyes at their presence or simply leave the room. She knows that some people just like to cause drama and some people just like to pick at others and she doesn't like to be around it. She, too, stares at people - a habit yet to be broken. It's a blank stare that looks slightly cold. It's not like she's judging or anything but she is either looking at their style, admiring them, or simply...people watching. Sometimes (all the time) she gets caught staring and immediately blinks and...well, continues to stare until they look away or until she gets tired of looking at them. She doesn't do it on purpose, she just has a slight habit of it from when she was younger and gazing at people.

Background:

Growing up, Yuna lived in a small village in the Philippines. It was a close knit society where everyone knew of everyone there. People would constantly come over and greet the family, the neighborhood children would play outdoors, and people would be seen on a daily basis out and about. Yuna was surrounded by a society which was filled with love, kindness, generousity, and adventure. Although Yuna was different from many of the children there (her parents were of two different backgrounds, ethnic groups, and religious affiliations) she was accepted whole heartidly. Yuna attended public school in the Philippines, and her life was basically normal. She spent her childhood being adventurous, always with those whom she loved to be around.

As a child, Yuna used to love to listen to the story of how both her parents had met. It always shocked and amazed her and every night, instead of wanting to be read the traditional bedtime stories, she wanted her mother or father to recall how they crossed over language barriers and fell in love. The story goes of Yuna's Filipino father being curious of the different styles of art and how artists all around the world created and captured their pieces. He had decided to travel to the city of love (Paris) one summers' night where he immediately headed to the museum. It was there that he met Yuna's mother, a woman, too, intrigued by the beauty around her. While a distance away, Yuna's father had captured her mother as she stood in awe looking at artwork. Hearing a click behind her, she immediately turned her head and noticed she was being photographed. Her mother said 'Instead of yelling like I thought I would, I motioned to the camera in an attempt to see the picture that he had captured. When I held his camera, I scrolled through most of the film and wanted to know the man behind the object.' Although the two of them were completely oblivious to each others' language, their love for art was what brought them together. Her mother, a college student majoring in Graphic Design,  at the time was on a summers' program with her class to stay in Paris and Yuna's father, a simple photographer, began to spend all of their time in Paris together. They would go to different parks, museums, walk the streets of Paris, and look at the sights all around them. Life was an open canvas waiting for a masterpiece to take form. When the summer nearly reached its end the two did not want to separate - however, Yuna's father made a promise to her that he'd be waiting for her no matter how long it would take. Although they were separated, Yuna's father never stopped thinking of her, he continued to do what he loved - which was photography - he studied the Korean language, and every summer he would somehow travel to Paris. When nearly two years had passed, he was beginning to think that she had forgotten about him...but, when he had went for the final time - before he would go back home to the Philippines for good - he saw her standing there, looking at the same picture, as beautiful as ever. He, again, took a picture of her. When she turned and saw him, she went to greet him and was surprised that he had learned Korean. The first thing that he had done was drop to one knee and propose to her ; it was something he had been wanting to do for two and a half years, each time he went to Paris, he took the ring with him.

Yuna, because of this story, had always wanted a love in which her parents had had. Although it was foolish to live life hoping to find that one special man - she couldn't help but think that maybe he, too, was out there looking for her...

Family
Kim Hae Joong || Commoner || Kim Hae Joong is her uncle - her aunt's husband, therefore they are related as such || Well, the two of them are trying to have a stronger relationship with one another - though it isn't quite possible to do so. Yuna doesn't really dislike anyone - but she doesn't completely like her uncle. They were never close, and they have had their own problems before (plus there has been rumors of him having cheated on her aunt, which she hadn't confirmed as such - but she's old enough to know something isn't right.

Kim Sura || Commoner || Kim Sura is Yuna's aunt (her mother's younger sister), thus they are related as such || From a young age, Yuna hadn't quite seen a lot of her aunt because her aunt had stayed back in Korea whilst Yuna's mother travelled to the Philippines to live with Yuna's father. They had seen one another on ocassions where the family would travel to Korea so that Yuna would be able to maintain her Korean roots, so the two of them saw one another when they could. Yuna, however, gets along with her aunt because she is blood, and she feels as though blood should always stick together. She doesn't like, though, how she lets her husband control over her in such a way that his behavior, his actions go unquestioned. However, Yuna knows it's not her place to speak of such things, therefore she cannot possibly question her aunt on it. Yuna does, however, make sure that she does all she can for her aunt, for their family to remain strong and positive through difficult times.

Kim SooYoung (picture linked above) || Commoner || The two of them, though cousins, met for the first time on a family trip to Korea when SooYoung was eight and Yuna was seven || SooYoung, much like Yuna, wants to break away from such a poor status that she has. Unlike Yuna, though, SooYoung was never raised in weath, so she was used to such a life in Korea - one that Yuna had to get used to when she made the decisionn to live in Korea throughout her university days. SooYoung and Yuna, though they hadn't spent much time together growing up - the occasional visits - the two of them got close because they were, both, the only children of their families and, being that they were around the same age and had similar interests in fashion, and beauty in life (and remaining positive through harsh and/or rough conditions) the two of them clicked. It's rare that the two of them are away from one another considering they always have an amazing time together. Yes - they may have the occasional arguments here and there (like most relatives) but there is still nothing but love in their hearts for one another.

SooYoung (Yuna's cousin) and another applicant can be best friends

YOUR LIFE STORY

The Storyline: The Jun Pyo storyline

Back-Up Storyline: The Yi Jung storyline

Relationship:

The two could obviously heads in the beginning of their "relationship". In fact, in the beginning, there doesn't have to be a "relationship". Jun Pyo might think that Yuna was yet another poor girl attempting to get into the school and, somehow, succeeded. She never carried herself in the "normal" way that rich people do (and she never threw herself at him as all the other females did, rich or poor - which caused him to take an unknown interest in her, though he will, of course try to deny it). Yuna doesn't brag about her background - she never really cared too much for the money that she had - she didn't like being born into rich family because she liked to work for what she had. Yuna could find him to be a rude, inconsiderate, stuck up, handsome jerk - which causes her to stay away from him, but he just seems to be everywhere she and her friends are. He often times call her "trash" whenever he can because she isn't "as rich" as him - but that's in the beginning, that's when he doesn't know of her - and that's when the two of them end up potentially getting stuck with one another.

Potentially finding out that Yuna is interested in fashion and that she has always wanted to work in such a business, Jun Pyo could tell her that in order for her to work for them (being that Jun Pyo's family is in charge of a major fashion business in which she had always wanted to work for and study at to become a stylist and fashion designer), she would have to be his personal maid and/or assistant - to please him and make him happy so that he can put in a good 'word' to his father to get her in being that he is an heir to the company. However, she will feel insulted and tell him that she doesn't need him in order to make it in such a world - thus a rivalry will begin which turns (somehow) into a fairytale.

Short Bio: Yuna ; a spontaneous, free-spirited, creative, and fashionable young woman who went from riches to rags with the sudden move from the Philippines to South, Korea. Aspiring to be a fashion designer and stylist, Yuna is determined to make her way to the top without anyone trying to 'Break her Style".

Extra's: Girls' Generation~
