She has extremely great acting skills and can give a bright smile that makes her seem angelic and happy onstage. She used to be a girl who was all optimistic and happy, but that all changed after she had a huge fight with her father and broke all connections with him. Also when this happened, her ex-best friend in China spread it (Helen's family problems and how she's a really mean and unresepctiful person) all over her school and that was when Helen decided to keep everything to herself, all her emotions, feelings, and gave off a mean and cold feel to strangers. From that day on she couldn't really trust anyone easily, she had to observe them carefully before opening up a little to them.
Even though she can't trust people, people can trust her, she would keep all secrets to herself, because she knows how it feels to be betrayed by the person you trust the most. When you talk to her, she pretends not to listen to you, but actually she'd be listening to you carefully, taking everything in.Many people ask her for advice with things, as she has had many experiences and she is after all known as the "wise melon". She'd reply either by writing an anonymous note to that person as a reply or just keep quiet.
She does smile at people, but mostly what people can remember of her is her cheeky smirk/smile after she has successfully pranked someone or won them over something.
Her competetive and determined side could be seen by anyone. In any game or competition, her eyes would give off a strong glare at the thing that she wants or the person that she's competing with. She was always the last few people in the training rooms and stayed there for the longest times. She was an extremely hardworking girl who hardly talked.
On variety shows however she gives winks and smiles all the time, that's why she's often called as the "best actress" by her members. They just don't know how different she could be on stage and backstage. Helen has a mysterious smile on her all the time when she's on a show and hardly actually "laughs", she's just always smiling. Her family can be considered as a wealthy family as her Dad is a CEO and there's a lot of pressure on Helen, because she's expected to take over that company. The expectations for her has always been high as all her elder brother focused on was music and acting.
Her father always had a bad temper ever since she was small. He had frequent fights with her mother and it was always Siwon that protected her. She used to cry in her room like a little baby due to this. However she still loved her father a lot, but she was constantly slashed with a knife by her father's hurtful words, that gradually she distanced herself away from her father.
She stuck to her mother all the time and depended on her, but after she said that she definitely won't take over her dad's company, she was kicked out of the house and was not even allowed to contact her mother, this left her depressed for a long time, and she became ignorant to almost everything.
