AFF Confessions

I don't know what possessed me, but I clicked on them and I probably shouldn't have, because I am the most easily persuaded person I know.

So while I was going through all of the posts, I was just going "You make a very valid point there, anon. But so do you admin."

Then I was reading one and in eleven words (yes, I counted), they managed to insult three people, and I was just like, "Ooooh, burn!" (Memes have corrupted me, cos I saw Ashton Kutcher's face and the writing on it, as well as the cold water one, when I read it).

And I never realised that so much crap and drama happened on AFF, maybe because I've only had the good fortune of running into nice people (I've so jinxed it). But yeah, I became confused and then I've been persuaded so much that I became even more confused.

Seriously, I'm worse than Lee Joon and Jongup combined (one doesn't know when he's speaking English and the other gave water bottles to fans whilst seranading them) right now.

Then I would come across some like, "I love X's stories. They're an amazing writer!" and I would think "Are they promoting themselves/a friend?" I guess it's just the sceptic in me.

From what I've gathered, a lot of popular writers are pretty unpopular among some people. So the conundrum is, how are they still popular?

And I've been so influenced that I need to like go and read Harry Potter or something until I forget it all (which won't take long with my memory), because I know that I'll end up hating my own writing . . . >.<

I would make the worst politican ever, I can't lie. I try, but I end up turning into the truth by manipulating it so it can be construed in two ways. It's awful and people can tell straight off the bat when I'm lying so I pretty much stopped doing it >.<

But yeah, I heard about all the hate they get, but I think that they help improve some people's writing, because I sure found a lot of "don't do's".

On a side note, I've been addicted to the WooGyu song. It's been on replay for ages :O

I know exactly how you feel. I've been in the same situation. Things have a way of working in AFF. Authors get placed on the popular list cause they have loads of subscribers. When that happens, a certain type of stories are preferred since a majority of writers are within a certain . Add to that, deserving stories are too complicated for the young ones and more often M so not promoted. And then sometimes people blindly subscribe to the popular ones even if they dont read. Personal opinion has no role here at all.

And as natural instinct jealousy does come in. Some would feel their stories are better but dont get due attention. so as a result lot of negativity arises. So if you really do pay attention to everything that goes on, you'd be terribly confused.
