CL, offically makes her debut!

2NE1's CL, or should we say "The Baddest Female", is here with her highly anticipated solo debut!

The 2NE1 leader has been leaving her fans quite anxious with various hints and teaser images here and there, and now Blackjacks, the wait is over!

As mentioned before, the song, according to her agency, "is a very slow hip hop beat track at 70 BPM, which is not that different from a ballad... It incorporates CL's powerful rap along with dougie dubstep and modern sounds... The strategy as well as the point of this song is how powerfully CL can express it despite the slow beat."

So check out the song above through the MV and see if you can spot cameos by her labelmates!

I personally think it's a hardass song, and CL kills it. But people were probably expecting some electro-dance or "I love you" type of a track. Unfortunately for those who were expecting it, you may not like this track and that's fine, to each their own.

CL has always preferred hardcore hip-hop and I respect her choice because I kind of think that, not only does it suit her and that she works it well, but that rapping and hip-hop is her strongest suit. It also helps that I do, in fact, love hip-hop, so I'm happy with her leaning towards this decision. This is her time to shine and her time to express her color and what she brings to 2NE1 and that is straight up charisma. This was refreshing in the bubble-gum/ crazed world of female kpop and a nice step in a different direction as far as female idols go. Sometimes, the whole y or cutesy concept can be too repetitive, like if they're the only concept that exists. CL on the other, isn't doing a concept or following a trend, shes being CL. Mad respect.

It's kind of sad to see a lot of the people claiming themselves "blackjacks" but showing little support. When Bom did her solo it sounded nothing like 2NE1. Same thing with Dara when she did Kiss. I hate that she's still catching flack for having a solo debut when the other members have done it too, especially since she deserves it more with her seniority and immense amount of talent. Also, I didn't hear anyone else complaining when Taeyang, TOP and GD went solo, they too have different sounds from Big Bang but yet when CL does her own thing, oh no it's bad because "it doesn't sound like 2NE1." Um, no Sherlock. This is CL, not 2NE1. 2NE1 can only sound like 2NE1 when they're together. And I can assure you, the day that Minzy decides to go solo, it won't sound like 2NE1 either. Besides, I bet if it did, people would be bashing it as well because haters are going to hate and CL has a lot of envious haters, for who knows what reason.

This was one strong debut, like no lie. If it has a GD feel to the video, well... yeah, same video director and same everything basically. Plus, It's a YG thing and everyone knows those two have a strong bond and similar eccentric/fashionista taste/style. If anything Cl is more toned down.

...I wonder how her hardcore idol fanboys are reacting to this cause she looks freaking drop dead gorgeous. That body. *admires*

She killed it. And actually it was really close to what I was expecting from her, if anything it was a little more playful than I thought it was gonna be, and I like that she had moments where she showed her cute side too. Still, she was so boss through the whole thing.
