My Thoughts on Block B and Stardom Entertainment

Hey guys,

So only recently I have become a BBC. I was like OMG I heard Block B's songs; they're an amazing band with amazing music videos. I loved them especially U-Kwon and Zico and PO and yeah...basically them all.

Then, I heard about their law suit with Stardom Entertainment and let me tell you something, I do not like it when bands have to sue their companies over money issues. Ever since TVXQ's law suit, I've been kinda of scared of this sort of stuff. No band needs to go through this kind of situation and unfortunetely it will happen because there are evil people running entertainment companies all over the world.

So, their situation is basically the same as TVXQ's with the money, but it's all of them suing the company instead of three (I think. I dunno it's been so long since TVXQ's split that I can't remember all the details) to terminate their contracts.

This means that Block B will have to find a new entertainment company or Stardom Entertainment will have to apologize and give into their wishes. Unfortunetly, Stardom Entertainment says that they haven't missed any payments BUT the CEO Lee Seung Yeon went missing with at least $66,000 American Dollars (I dunno the equivalent in Won) that belong to Block B's parents supposidly.

So they were trying to find him in the wake of Block B's court case and unfortunetely he committed suicide. Now the familiy hasn't released any statements nor have they released a suicide note so the reasons for his suicide are unknown.

As much as Lee Seung Yeon need to be brought to justice, he didn't need to die. Suicide is a touchy subject with me and it's just terrible...It's terrible for his friends and family, it's terrible for Stardom Entertainment, and it's terrible for Block B.

Why is it terrible for Block B?

well considering that people are assuming that the suicide is the result from Block B's lawsuit against the company, netizens are going to blame this on Block B and they will be remembered for this incident at least till everything is settled. Even then, I don't think people will support Block B as fully as they used to. Now for someone like me, I'm used to stars lashing out on society so I'm not really fazed by it. Hell, we don't know why Lee Seung Yeon committed suicide and probably never will, but honestly Block B isn't to blame. I don't agree with blaming other people for a person's suicide. I mean it's the person's concious decision to kill themselves. Sure other people may have contributed to it, but the blame doesn't need to placed on them (BUT this is beside the point)

ANYWAY, Block B is going to have a hard time recovering from this and we won't know what will happen until after the court case.

Also, does anyone know where the money went? I haven't heard about any press statements being released about the money issue and I was wondering if anyone heard anything about it. (Cause that also is going to contribute whether Block B is going to comeback or not)

There are rumors that Block B has been talking to other agencies, but no official contracts have been made nor has any news been released about them going to another company.

In all honesty, this is a messy situation and I know that I haven't been a BBC for long but I still feel extremely broken hearted about this and...I hope everything turns out for the best cause I hate seing groups disband or spilt.

I hated it with TVXQ! and T-Ara (even though they have their subunit and I'm still confused if they are broken up)  and even if one member is missing from a group, it's not the same and nothing the company will do will make it be the same. Just like with A-Pink.

I hope the best for Block B and I will still be a BBC through all the decisions they make.

For their haters, just...leave them alone. They've been through so much and deserve some peaceful time to think about some stuff.

It's definitely going to be really hard for block b to recover. They were popular in Korea around nilili mambo, but after such a fiasco like this, I'm not sure if they can get an agency to sign them. Maybe after 2 years. :p
