2PM's Comeback!
Come Back When You Hear This Song
This was a great first comeback song. Though I love All Day I Think of You more, I can't deny that this was actually a great way to lure us in. The song and video is both intiguing and captivating and was a pleasant treat to my HOTTEST feels. I loved the usage of the seven deadly sins and how it worked with the story line as reasons for driving the person you love away, I thought it was very clever. Though I wish it wasn't just one girl in both videos since it destroys the illusion, but I digress. The setting here was just beautiful, especially on the rooftop with the city as the backdrop, that was just breathtaking. This time around they aren't focusing too much on acrobatics in their choreography, which is what they're usually known for, but are instead more focused on actual dancing, and incorporate housing in the chorus which I can appreciate. And it's not all just body rolls and pelvic s, though I don't have too many complaints against that. The clothes in this video were just ASJHJKSAHDSFJHJI amazing. They all looked freaking amazing! In the beginning with the black and white clothes, I liked Wooyoungs white shirt and cardigan look, while in their individual shots with the girl, I gotta say that Taec won me over with the simple white shirt, black vest and denim pants look, and from when they're doing their choreo on the rooftop and on the steps, my favorite dressed there are Wooyoung, again, and Jun.K as well. To say the least, they really nailed it this time around with their overall looks with the hair and simple suits.
All Day I Think of You
I think this definitely has to be one of my favorite 2PM songs in a long long time. My favorite song for a while was Tik Tok. I love how Junho and Khun are getting more exposure in singing, though Junho has always gotten it in his own way, I kind of enjoyed that he was given MORE parts (Notice how he opens both songs). Same with Khun, since he's usually given short rap pieces, it's nice to see how much he's improved as a singer and that they gave him the second half of the chorus. The two of them did beautifully with their falsettos in the chorus and I commend them so much for that. The beat is great and the melody is addictive. The choreo in the chorus is, in my opinion, quite adorable and fits the feel of the song. I really enjoy this new sound that they're going for and hopefully down the line we'll get a more upbeat songs for a future comeback but.... to be honest, I kind of enjoy what they're going for here at the moment. The different layers, especially at the 2:49 mark with Taec and Jun.K and then at 3:14 with Junho/Jun.K and Khun/Jun.K... yeah, it was like major eargasm ^^, that's right I said it. Anyway, I'm really digging this R&B style on them, it looks good. I really like this shift in sound and it matches them completely as well as the fact that they're now grown men. As much as people would like for it to be like it was before, unfortunately they can't do the same things other groups are doing, or even what they used to do. It doesn't suit them anymore. As much I loved 10 out of 10 and Heartbeat, I just can't see them coming out with a song like that anymore. I feel the exact same way about like... grown women still trying to act cute in their videos. There at the age where it just doesn't fit, and people gotta grow up some day. Anyways, besides the sound and choreography, I think another thing that I enjoyed was there overall look. No unecessary dying of the hair or tacky outfits. Instead everything was well fitted to each members individual taste and complimented them well. I think my favorite looks in this video were, hands down, Jun.K and Taecyeon.
