Japanese girl group Perfume says, “We’re close to SNSD”

On the 14th, a popular Japanese girl group Perfume appeared at the press conference for 2011 Asia Song Festival as the representative of Japanese artists.

Perfume said, “We’ve became close friends with SNSD after appearing in a music show together. We even e-mail each other.”

Perfume is composed of three members, and all of its albums recorded over 300,000 sales, proving itself as the leading J-pop girl group.

Perfume added, “Before coming to Korea, we threw a party and invited Kara. Kara recommended us to greet in Korean, but we’re not sure if we’ll be good at it. Kang Jiyoung encouraged us a lot before we came to the Asia Song Festival.”

Asia Song Festival is the leading culture festival in Asia in which best artists from six Asian countries appear. Perfume is one of them and gives performance on behalf of Japan at the opening of the festival on the 15th.

The festival will be held as an official culture event celebrating Daegu for holding IAAF World Championships for the first time in Korea.

Besides Perfume, Attack All Around (Japan), Peter Ho (Taiwan), Tata Young (Thailand), and Leo Ku (Hong Kong) will appear at the festival. Korean artists such as Super Junior, SNSD, Lee Seung Gi, B2ST, G.Na, Miss A, and U-Kiss will give performances.
