Out of Curiosity

Anyeong readers! Let me start off by saying how sorry I am that I haven't updated in forever~ I had my ACT and Praire State exams this week and I've had no motivation to write ... only read ^^ I did, however, start Pieces ... but I might re-write it before putting it up - I don't like it too much. ^^ But anywho, I'll try to update my stories soon! I have finals coming up and I'm stressing and freaking out really bad, but I'll try to at least begin to write more of them! ^^

Now, out of curiosity:

Will you guys answer some questions? I've been wondering some things for a while now and I I'm curious at to what your answers will be. *Aigoo* Pwetty Pwease??!!

1. What Kpop artists/songs do you guys like? I really need to broaden my horizon a bi more and I need more songs on my iPod! ^^

2. What careers do you guys like or are in? You see, I've been trying very hard to figure out what I want to do ... but I'm so lost and I haven't got a clue!

Last but now least!

3. For those who have read my stories, what do you think I need improvement on? I'm completely serious! I know I'm not a horrible writer, but I feel like something is amiss! Pwease be honest! ^^

1. I really really love Boyfriend! Other than that I tend to listen to korean rockish/indie music!
2. I'm studying English and Japanese at the university, so I'd really love to be an interpreter or a translator
3. I think that every writer has his/her own style, so as long as it's understandable and there are no spelling mistakes you should stick to your writing style! From all your stories I can tell that you write in a correct English, so why change it? Plus, I really love angsty/depressing genres, so please write more about it LOL

1. I love SHINee, EXO, Big Bang, and BTOB! I also really like C Clown's new song Shaking Hearts and I like Infinite, Boyfriend, 2pm, and Beast, but not as much as the ones in the first sentence ~

2. I'm hoping to study economics, business, or law at Seoul National University, but I chose those mostly because they pay well and I haven't really fallen in love with a different profession, so might as well be rich ^.^

3. I love your writing. It's amazing! I'm so excited that you're going to be updating again :D

I personally like any Big Bang song, Any Shinee song. Girls by Wheesung, 2013 Appetizer By Jay park. (That's a REALLY erm ual rap)

*puts hands up* You wanted honesty. Okay just by reading over some of your fics. ( I guiltly don't read many fics for fear of plagiarizing or being a douche and saying, "I CAN WRITE THIS BETTER!" ) But I skimmed some of them, I think you have a good set up, good structure, description is nice. The only thing I would say (and this just might be me being petty) Character profiles, It's really, really newbie. It's like telling the reader, I don't know how to describe my character enough in the story, so I have to tell you about him before hand. I would stop doing that. o u o.

Also, your descriptions are RIDICULOUSLY long. Narrow it down to a few words and let the story do the talking. At most descriptions should be 3-5 sentences.

You also write a lot of angst / depressing stories. It's not always the most interesting to read. o n o. Try to change it up a bit. You mission is always to the readers.

I definitely would not read it if I knew one of my idols were committing suicide. o _ O

Otherwise Your writing has nice emotion in it and it grips the reader.

I would just say a change of genre, no profiles and shorter Descriptions. Don't tell people how it's going to end, even if they do commit suicide, don't TELL them in the beginning. Foreshadow it, a LOT of foreshadowing. Metaphors are a writers BFF.

My taste in music is varied, without rhyme or reason. Some of my favourite kpop artists (in no particular order, and apologies if you're familiar with them) Exo, Nu'est, SHINee, BAP, Big Bang, F.T. Island, Teen Top, Infinite, (my brain. just flaked out so I'm going to to through my folders for the rest) 24k, 100%, B1A4, Beast, Block B, Boyfriend, Cross Gene, Excite, F.Cuz, G-Dragon, JJ Project, MBLAQ, MYNAME, Phantom, SS501, Super Junior, U-Kiss, 2NE1, f(x), Girls Generation, Kara, Sistar, Two X, Hyuna, 4Minute, DBSK, Orange Caramel, After School, Son Dambi...

As for my job (I.don't intend for it to become a career) I work for the school system, as an assistant on a special needs school bus. I help the children on and off the bus, and make sure they get to and from school safely. Its a real joy working with them, and if not for the hours, I would probably keep the job as long as I'm living here. My ideal career, though, is an author of fantasy, urban fantasy, and historical romance novels. my advice to you is to pick something you're good at and enjoy, because of the saying "if you LOVE your job, you'll never WORK a day in your life." I also would like to pursue something with foreign languages, as either an interpreter, a translator, or other, because words (in all languages) are both what I'm good at dealing with, and also what I enjoy dealing with.

I know its a big decision, though, and good luck!
