if there was one fault i could find in luhan's personality, it would be that he has none. he's modest, awkward, humorous, adorable, dorky, polite, childish, passionate, and everything in between. luhan's the kind of person who puts others people's happiness and well-being before his own, even in the times when he's the one that needs a shoulder to lean on or when he's straight-forwardly given the oppurtinity to shine. what i love and admire the most about him is that he's always genuine and very natural when on interviews, variety shows, concerts, etc. if you were to ask me, i'd say that luhan's definitely one in a million. from personal experience, it's extremely difficult to find other males as humble and perfect as him in this day and age.

in just during one and a half years of training, luhan had been able to improve his vocal and dance skills to an incredible amount. when i listen to the songs he had covered pre-debut, i can't help but smile, knowing how much he had worked to improve. even though he has missed beijing greatly, in order to reach for him his dreams, luhan travelled to korea and even gave up his studies. a particular moment after the debut of exo that gave me a larger sense of admiration toward him was during the POP magazine photoshoot. during that time, luhan was really sick and kept coughing until his eyes became so red, that he looked as if he were crying. but being the hardworking idiot he is, luhan never asked for a break. even the most littlest of challenges, he has a lot of determination for. in the CLC, when he was playing temple run, luhan continued on and on even though the mc had said it's enough. when he had to force his character to die in order for the show to keep running, luhan had this look on his face that explained to me exactly how disappointed he felt about not being able to finish the game.

Just persevere and you will succeed." luhan, you have so much care for us fans, but what can we do to show our gratefulness for your care toward us? even though there's those fans at airports that cause you to injure yourself, you never seem to get mad at them. unlike other idols, when he's asked to tell a fan something, he'd tell them what is benefical for their lives- such as money, studies, etc. when he's at the airports, he tries to take everything that the fans hand to him. regardless of his own safety, luhan would worry and pay attention to the fans' wellbeing when he has all the right to be worrying about himself instead. luhan also takes fans' suggestions into action- such as during the cctv interview, a fan asked if he would speak more, and although he wasn't confident, he kept throwing in little comments in reference to the questions; "i drink black tea," was an example of this. what i also love about luhan is how he uses everything that the fans give to him, such as the deer keychains and accessories that are often seen on his bags, the t-shirts he wears are usually from fans as well. even when he has a largest load of gifts from fans, he doesn't bother anyone else to help him carry them and would still accept late gifts that add more to his pile. he doesn't pick out and throw away anything he doesn't like; he just wears it with no complaint. in luhan's world, it doesn't matter what you give him, as long as you give it to him, he will appreciate it, treasure it and use it so that you know he loves it.

whenever this boy bows, he always goes past 90 degress- whether it's to staff, senior artists or the fans. during the shooting for the POP magazine, the staff had spilt a bit of coke and luhan, being the person he is, went off to clean it up even though the staff told him he didn't have to. during showcases and apparently during exo's debut showcase last year, luhan had helped the staff to carry the chairs onto the stage and off the stage, explaining why he had been one of the last members to come and join the rest of the group standing onstage. the reason as to why this is such an endearing quality of luhan's is because in this day and age, most famous and powerful people in society find that it isn't their job or concern to help those who are assistants to their position.

although the majority of luhan's clothes that he wears are given to him by fans, it's obvious by the style of clothing that is given to him expresses his fashion sense. to me it's stylish, chic, simplistic and very attractive, laugh laugh laugh. i don't know what it is- whether it's the colours he's frequently seen wearing or the type of clothing- it's what i love in his fashion sense. there's even those times when he wears the most awkwardest of clothing, but he can make it look amazing just by wearing it. also, just by seeing him wear a normal t-shirt, i die and die all over again. due to the fact i don't have much to say in this part, down here are pictures of a couple of favourites i have from his past styles because i can.

0408 / HIS CHILDISHNESS AND MISCHIEVIOUSNESS.
despite being the second oldest in exo, both appearance-wise and personality-wise luhan is very childlike and it makes you want to pick him up and put him in your pocket because of his overall adorableness. when he's around kris, the two of them give off a father-son type of vibe. an example of this was when luhan got kris to find him a vomit bag and although he didn't need it, he pretended to vomit in the bag and when he finished his juice, he placed it on kris' table and put his own back up like a child would do to their parent. another airport scenario was when the flight attendant came to collect their playes and tao threw something in luhan's bowl. luhan looked rather devious and when the attendant left, luhan jumped up and ran to tao, putting his arm around tao's neck. they were fighting like little kids, as a fan account said. to add to this, luhan adores stuffed animals and food. one moment i recall is when tao snatched the chopper plushie that luhan had, and being the child he is, glared at tao and stabbed him with the lightstick playfully. he also seems to never be able to stay still; he's always moving around and whether he be poking or playfully hitting s, jumping up and down, acting, miming or volunteering during a guessing game, he's just an overall child stuck in a twenty-two (today twenty-three)'s body.

"I think I remember those eyes eyes eyes..." sure, most people's eyes don't seem to be alluring, but luhan's eyes tell me a different story. they aren't just pretty- despite their perfect shaping, laugh lines and the lashes- they are definitely the brightest and clearest i've ever seen. you could say as though it was as if luhan had stars in his eyes. people say that eyes are like windows to the soul, and just by looking at luhan's eyes you can tell what kind of a great person he is in general. the purity you see of luhan's is different from the one of an innocent child's, however. he knows of all the unkind things in this world, but isn't and refuses to be tainted by them.

鹿晗. i remember that rather confusing period of time when a mistranslation caused fans to erupt over luhan's real name ('xi'). i admit i had been swept up in these misconceptions and was drawn to believe that his actual name was xi luhan until i found out that it was just, a mistranslation. however, i love the name of 'luhan' on its own. much like he himself reminds us fans of a deer, his name is very fitting as 'lu' means deer and 'han' means pre-dawn/breaking dawn. most kfans would jokingly call him '김루한' because of his shockingly on-spot pronounciations when introducing himself in korean. they would use it as well whenever luhan is able to shock them with his fluency of the korean language. one of luhan's nicknames i am extremely fond of (obviously) is '小鹿' which means 'little deer'. it gives me a sense of 'luhan' (i don't know what that is even) and it just basically is one of my favourite word/s in the chinese language, whether it be saying it or writing it.
0411 / HIS TREATMENT TOWARD THE OTHER MEMBERS.
i've mentioned a couple ways of which luhan cares for the rest of exo, but this is a more elaborate stating. luhan is an incredibly caring older brother who will put the needs and happiness of others before his own. lay has spoken numerous times of how luhan is a great person because he is willing to do anything that will help those around him despite what the consequences may be. whenever exo-m, or all twelve of exo are on stage, he would do his best to translate to the korean members what is being said even when the camera is on him. he would make chen sing with him during interviews even though he's the only one asked to do so. he will give up the opportunities for himself to shine to the other members of the group, such as pushing xiumin forward onstage to to the three little bears dance or lay to demonstrate the 'history' choreography. luhan would stop to grab tao's hand to make sure that tao doesn't get separated from the group, he'd sit and talk with lay who is injured to make sure he's okay. during all these situations, luhan had many chances to get more screen-time (which is rather vital at this point in their career) but even so, he chooses to retreat to the back and help out or allow the other members to take the opportunity instead. i find this very inspiring yet heartbreaking, and something that you wouldn't see an idol group member doing everyday.
0412 / HIS TALENT.
luhan is an all-rounded idol, having all three talents of amazing vocal skills, breathtaking dancing skills and great visuals. when he was younger, all he focused on was playing soccer but during a year and a half of training under sm, having gained these musical skills is rather amazing. he sings ballads alongside chen and dances dance songs with lay. the improvement behind luhan's skill of these talents is also very evident as time passed. if you watch him during their debut showcase dancing 'mama' and compare it to the most recent, it is obvious that he has improved on the detail of the song and dance itself. he makes it well-known that he loves being with exo and doing what he does too; he would dance 'mama' almost everywhere he goes, when 'mama' is playing as background music for photoshoots he'd sing along only to be told by the photographer to close his mouth, when the other members perform 'two moons' he'd be seen at the back dancing or rapping along. it's actually incredible to see how quickly he is able to improve on his skills, and it must be the amount of love and passion luhan has that he is able to do so.

it is widely known that luhan repeatedly doubts the fact that he can do aegyo, moreover be cute because he wants to be recognised as- and is, mind you- manly. however, this is one of the many everything i love about him, is that he doesn't know he's already has natural cuteness/aegyo. it's also evident that after their debut, he became more confident in showing this. an episode i remember rather well was during one of their first interviews with sina live chat. the interviewer asked if luhan could show them his aegyo and he replied "i don't know." with this really blank yet adorable expression. some time after that, during exo-m's happy camp he was asked by the mc to show some aegyo, and without hesitation that time, he puffed his cheeks and did 'bbuing-bbuing' motion. and after that time, his confidence in aegyo increased and during interviews and shows he would be seen doing more of these cute actions. however, he is someone who doesn't need to force himself to do these type of things, either thanks to his childish personality or his natural baby-face. he doesn't even need to put any effort at all into trying to act cute; it's all done effortlessly and flawlessly. despite having adjusting to being aegyo, he still is rather shy about it and gets embarrassed easily by doing aegyo as shown during a concert (?) when lay and xiumin pushed him forward to do so. but this is what makes him cuter than what he already is; the fact that he doesn't think he is and that he's embarrassed about doing so.

0414 / HIS INTRODUCTIONS.
i don't know whether it's the tone he uses or the words he chooses, but i just find his introductions the most amusing yet the most cutest ones yet. even though the other members basically say the same thing as luhan does, the way in which luhan says it gives me a different feeling (once again, do not doubt my sanity). two of my favourite introductions he has given out are: "Annyeonghaseyo, EXO-M Luhan imnida." and "Hello, I'm the Kawaii Luhan." i especially like the drawling sound on the 'lu' in his korean greeting because, well, it's a rather amusing thing to hear in my opinion. i always anticipate to hear him introduce himself (not because i'm biased) due to the fact that i absolutely adore his voice and accent he has (if it's even considered one), specifically when he speaks a different language because you can hear the difference in his accent and it's adorable in an odd way. on the other hand, what i feel a great sense of admiration yet upset over is how unlike the other members, doesn't confidently say he's the lead vocalist and lead dancer of exo-m and would just say he can do a little bit of this and that. luhan, as humble as you are, there are those times where you have to just at least acknowledge that you are an amazingly talented person and so.

from the predebut days of black and dark brown to the debut honey, silver, blonde and now a cherry blossom like pink, this boy can rock any hairstyle or hair colour. whether it's an all prepped up haircut, wild bed hair (which i absolutely love spazz spazz.) or just simply styled, if not one but everything looks absolutely incredible on this deer. although i always loved his honey coloured hair the best, he managed to make silver and blonde look good even when i felt rather hesitant seeing him with it. but much more, once the airport photos of his pink hair came out, i almost died seeing them because the hair colour looked so perfect. i was thinking 'can sm just freaking film an mv with luhan's pink hair just because wow'. despite all of this, though, the amount of times he has dyed his hair in a minor state is crazy. the sad reality may be that he becomes bald and no more gorgeous hair for him. (feel free to slap me okay.) not only that, luhan's hair always looks so pretty and i just have no words to describe it to be honest. who on earth can look so good with their hair all the time just like him? like seriously.

i don't know whether it's the tone he uses or the words he chooses, but i just find his introductions the most amusing yet the most cutest ones yet. even though the other members basically say the same thing as luhan does, the way in which luhan says it gives me a different feeling (once again, do not doubt my sanity). two of my favourite introductions he has given out are: "Annyeonghaseyo, EXO-M Luhan imnida." and "Hello, I'm the Kawaii Luhan." i especially like the drawling sound on the 'lu' in his korean greeting because, well, it's a rather amusing thing to hear in my opinion. i always anticipate to hear him introduce himself (not because i'm biased) due to the fact that i absolutely adore his voice and accent he has (if it's even considered one), specifically when he speaks a different language because you can hear the difference in his accent and it's adorable in an odd way. on the other hand, what i feel a great sense of admiration yet upset over is how unlike the other members, doesn't confidently say he's the lead vocalist and lead dancer of exo-m and would just say he can do a little bit of this and that. luhan, as humble as you are, there are those times where you have to just at least acknowledge that you are an amazingly talented person and so.

it's as though he's in a world of his own sometimes. the 4D-ness of lu han cannot be described thoroughly, to be honest. when the rest of exo-m go right, he goes left. he always seems to look like a lost deer whenever he happens to be by himself at the airports and it makes me wonder why exactly, possibly due to his 4D-ness. at disneyland, he kept putting the his mask over his eyes when you're actually meant to wear it over your mouth and such; he also was continously walking around in circles for no good a reason and didn't even notice that xiumin bumped him by accident and kept on going haha. there was also that other time when he was waving and forming half a heart with his arm and his everything was just so 4D even xiumin and chen were laughing at him. during the show that exo-m went to in thailand, luhan was being even more of a derp and 4D deer than what he already is, doing all these incohorent actions and such. even though this makes him just that much of a dorkier and childish person, it's one of the many things that i love about him.
0417 / HIS ATTEMPTS OF FANSERVICE.
everyone knows that luhan isn't the best at fanservice in exo, but he does try his absolute best despite not being as confident as the other members and that's why i love his attempts of fanservice the most. so whether he's throwing and making hearts with the other members, teasing us fans with the occasional tongue action, lipbite and lifting of his shirt or giving us a show of his natural cuteness, it's all fangirling-worthy material. i remember that during the jiangsu countdown this year, i was watching them perform 'two moons' and one thing's for sure, i definitely wasn't expecting anything such as luhan lifting up the hem of his shirt to reveal what was underneath it. as well as this type of service he gives, he also is rather cheesy as proven during the thailand visit. the other members chose other phrases to learn in thai but instead, luhan chose the cheesy one- "Darling, you are so pretty and cute." kudos to that, lu han. i also absolutely adore how there are those fantaken photos of him waving or giving hearts to the fans from inside the van or such, because it shows us just how much he loves and appreciates our support and that even though he is deprived of rest, that that doesn't stop him from showing his love for us. like i mentioned previously, unlike other idols who would shower their fans in compliments and words of pure sweetness, luhan would say the things that would actually benefit them in life out of being genuinely concerned for them and for their wellbeing. unlike some of the other fans, i would actually appreciate these type of words because it tells me that luhan would only want the best for us and our future.

although he may not have the most derps in exo, he is definitely one of the derpiest. luhan's exaggerated yet extremely derpy laugh is one of the major factors that add on toward this category. it's rather evident that he tries to stifle his laughter probably because he's embarrassed about how he looks like an old man (otl.) when he does so, but obviously fails every single time. but his laugh is one of the major reasons why i love him and so. but it becomes influentical and perhaps is contaigous, as i find myself laughing whenever he seems to be laughing and that isn't good (lmfao). although he looks and sounds like an angel during live performances, i can't help but notice the occasional derp whenever he hits those semi high notes in 'into your world' aka 'angel' (which i feel guilty about noticing tbh but no regrets). and even though i love luhan's perfect eyes to exo planet and beyond, i have to say they sometimes make him look freaky especially during fantaken airport photos which most of us should/are see/seeing. (i feel so guilty writing this but it's one of these reasons why i love him cries). but no matter how derpy, how freaky luhan might look sometimes, i always will love him and that would never change.

i guess you could say that thanks to this little deer, is why i got into exo and became an 'exotic'. the first time i saw him during wkorea/carven, i immediately fell in love with his adorable looks and his talent for the rubix cube. if i hadn't knew exo was both a korean and chinese group, i would've thought that luhan was korean because of his fluency in the pronounciation. after i decided to get into exo more by watching their debut mv as well as the other two, eyes continued to search only for this boy. i was amazed by the fact that he, as well as having perfect visuals, was able to both sing and dance. i then decided to go and watch exo-m's interviews and variety shows and found that he also had an amazingly great personality. he was childish and mischievious at times, but took care of the other members like a manly hyung. it was then, i knew that i found my true ultimate bias. even though most people say that 'exotics' only like exo for their good looks, it isn't true; i may have fallen for this deer because of his looks, but i fell harder for him because of his personality and everything he has in between.
"Tell me if you have any problems, hyung will take care of it for you." - LUHAN. every single time you have the chance, you'd help the staff with their duty. back in la, you and xiumin helped the coordi noona carry your bags. during the showcase, you helped the staff carry the chairs and was the last member to get back onto the stage. you, the deer with a warm heart. luhan, you are so nice. you're eyes, your actions, your words- your everything just emphasizes this more and more. the more i see you everyday, everytime i never fail to remember you and this amazingly sweet heart of yours. being rejected by jyp, you still had the determination to go and reach your dreams of becoming an idol. most people would say that having being casted whilst shopping is a lucky thing; that the reason why you were casted was purely because of your looks. that might've been true, it may still be true, but to me, it became a truth to a lie. you were handsome, you had talent. sm found the almost perfect package. you gave up everything you had back in beijing; education, family, home. you went to korea alone, in hopes of chasing your dreams and making it big. you worked hard for the two years you were under sm entertainment, improving your vocal and dance skills day by night and in the end, became exo-m's lead vocalist, lead dancer and presumed visual.
when the date of exo's debut showcase finally came, the family members of the rest of exo were present. but you, you were alone searching for them in the crowd. no; they weren't there. you tried hard to search for them, but alas, still no sign of them. you looked down at the floor, not allowing anyone to see the disappointment in your eyes. perhaps, there were thoughts of sadness or even regret running through your head at the time. after exo's debut, you returned to beijing. shopping, buying shoes and such, but it was only you. you said before, "The toughest time is missing home." and "When I miss home... I can only miss it." luhan, even though no one would be able to replace your true family, remember that us fans and your eleven other brothers are always there for you, okay? when you need that shoulder to lean on, we'll be there. when you need to seek for comfort, we'll be there. when you need us, we'll always be there. someone had said, "Everytime I see Luhan, he is always smiling." hiding the pain and truth so that he wouldn't burden others with his problems, that is what a man is. but even so, it breaks my heart. it doesn't always have to be you taking care of the others, luhan. if there's those times you need to be the one to have care, don't hesitate no more.
