About too much technik and an unwilling shower

2013.04.15

Today was finally the day.The day to travel to Seoul. I was so nervous I wasn't able to sleep much the night before :S
The nervousity left as soon my friend and translator
, czseoul, and I met at the train station of our city. The train ride went by very fast. Soon we arrived at the airport of zurich \(^.^)/
As soon as we arrived we wanted to check in but finding the check-in was harder then expected. We now know how TaeMin felt when he arrived in December 2012. We were confused and somehow lost.
After finding the check-in we were finally able to start our journey.

The flight took forever. I've never been in a plane for such a long time.
During the flight nothing interresting happened. If there wouldn't have been so many movies I would have been bored as hell. Sleeping wasn't possible as I was to nervous.

When we finally landed after about 15h of flight we were finally able to say that we arrived in Seoul. We decided to take the bus to our hotel but which bus was the right one? Because I laked of sleep I wasn't able to speek or understand properly. Still I was able to buy tickets and find the wrong station. The bus driver told us the right way to go ^^

The airport Incheon is pretty far away from Seoul. It took us 1h to arrive at Namdaemun Market. Getting there was no problem. Finding our hotel was one. Acording to our map it should have been close to the South Gate but it wasn't. The adress was usless for us. We were lucky to get some help from a very nice Korean man that helped us find our hotel. We're still very thankful to him. I believe that without him we wouldn't be able to find it as it' s quit hidden and in midest a very popular market.

After checking in we were able to put our bags in our hotel room \(^.^)/
The room is quite small but big enough for us two. The first problems with it came fast. One glace into the bathroom made us realice that there is much more technik then we were used to.
The toilet has buttons! It took us a while to realize that none of those bottons were made to flush -.-
There isn't a separat shower neither. The shower is right next to the sink and you have to use the sink system to get it started. CZSeoul only wanted to wash her hand but took a shower instead ㅋㅋㅋ

After unpacking we decided to explor the market. It was amazing. There were so many cool things to buy. Unfortunally we weren't able to be on the market for long as we were too tired.

I hope you had a good day as well. I'm sorry if this blog was a bit boring. I'm not used to write so much about my own live. I promise to do better in the future (I'll post fotos soon as well). Annyeong (^.^)/

Heeeey :D!

I'm so glad to hear from you two! Elisabeth has been nagging me about you all the time yesterday ;). Haha, "the toilet has buttons" made me laugh out loud! And I still haven't quite understood how the sink/shower-accident happened, but that too made me laugh hard :).

You post is not boring, since I'm just glad to hear that you two arrived safely! Andreas sends his greetings and I'll make sure to talk to Elisabeth when she comes back to the office tomorrow!

BIG hugs to you and please greet Czsoul from me! I'm very much looking forward to your next post (and maybe some pictures, too?) :D!
