So I guess this topic has been beat to death already by many but I just thought "Hey barely anyone is gonna read this and I'd really like to get my thoughts in writting so what the hell I'll just go for it."

Anyways...well I'd like to begin by saying my main opinion about it. Here it goes... dating is the greatest thing in the world and people should be allowed to choose who they want to love without being stared at or judged by others.

Though I've only dated one person I can honestly say that I've been attracted to people of other races and wouldn't mind dating or marrying someone who is not of the same race as me. In case you might be wondering I am hispanic, latina whatever you call it but to be specific I'm Mexican. Now you're probably beginning to stereotype me. Am I right? Well most of what you probably made up in your mind about me is probably wrong.

This is what I'm really like: I'm what they call a "coconut" which means brown on the outside but white on the inside. I don't act like the stereotypical Mexican chick nor do I dress like them. I tend to be really quiet and I rarely speak Spanish and when I do it's usually Spanglish. lol! :P I'm artistic and I listen to Kpop, techno, screamo, heavy metal, and no Spanish music unless it's a rock band. Yepp I'm a weird latina. XD

Now I guess the way I act is based on how I was raised but I think my personality and my background also help me accept things like dating whereas people who are raised with only people of their race and only associate with people of their race tend to be more close minded about the topic.

To support my opinion on why I love every race I'll tell you here. I'm a mexican girl who happens to be a coconut. Was raised by a black/Indian stepmother whom I just call "mommy" cuz I love her as well as as full Mexican dad who is learning Japanese and loves doing karate. I have 5 siblings in all 3 of which are full Mexican and the other 2 are a mix of black/mexican/indian( like from India). My close friends are an African girl named Nana, a ginger named Dani, a white girlnamed Gabi, a hawaiian girl named Jasmine, and a Guatemalan girl named Joanna. My crush for the past three years is an adorable taiwanese/vietnamese boy we call Chen. The list could go on and on so truthfully I wonder what people are thinking when they insult people just because of race. To be honest I find it crazy that people can't be accepted just because of that as well as being allowed to date without criticism.

Now have I convinced you that all races are great? If yes now should I convice you that dating someone from a different race could be just as great as someone from your same race?

Well here it goes. Umm first of all I know all babies are cute and all but have you seen a mixed baby. You can't say you've seen one and not said "awwww". If you haven't well here you can't be deprived much longer of the cuteness.

Okay I think that's enough cute babies for today. Now you're probably thinking about all the stereotipical crap people say about certain races. So I'll try to set the record straight and show you that not all of them are true. here are some common stereotypes.

Black Stereotypes

• They Don’t Like To Work (lazy)
• Players
• Always in jail
• good at stealing
• drug dealers
• ghetto
• Loud, obnoxious, rude
• violent
• irresponssible
• poor

The list could go on but what I'd like to say is that yes some black people are like that but the key word there is "some". Now some of you may have an aversion to their looks which may change...

Ahem...well if you don't find them attractive then I guess yu don't have eyes. Yes that must be the explanation.

 

American White Stereotypes

• trailer trash
• rednecks
• nerds
• racist
• no rhythm
• bad music
• can't dance
• can't discipline their kids

Same as with black people while some american white people are like this not all of them are plus rednecks aren't that bad just the racist ones.

Asian Stereotypes

• All asians look the same
• Bad drivers
• Know martial arts
• Have small p****  (Ummm one word Dubulge. Just sayin)
• socially awkward and nerdy
• Awesome at math
• watch a lot of anime
• they speak like Ching chang chong
• All of them must be Chinese

First of all there are a lot of asian countries so you must be stupid to call any asian looking person Chinese. Here is a list: China, Japan, South Korea, North Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, and so on. For Christ sake they do not all look the same and are not all super nerdy and smart. For the record I've never heard any asian person say the words ching chang chong unless they're making fun of racist people's stupidity. You say small I say Dubulge. :3

Well like I said for the other races some people are like this but not all so get to know someone before you label them. Hispanic/ latino can mean a lot of different countries not just Mexico. List: Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Spain, South American countries.

Indian Stereotypes

• eat curry all the time
• taxi drivers

Well I guess my conclusion is that color does not matter.Anyone should be able to date, marry, mingle with, or have children with whoever they want regardless of race or ethnicity. You might also simply not be attracted to acertain race but that doesn't mean you have to be hatefull towards them so watch what you say and don't offend people. I for one tend to be attracted to asian and white people more than any other races but all races have good qualities and who knows maybe someday you or I will end up marrying someone from a different race.
