-A sweet and caring guy, but has a little but of a temper. Likes to smile and cheer people up when they are down, and doesn't show his pain or disappointment. Close to al of his fellow members and is the peacemaker between them. Nags them about their health and likes to refer to himself as the "umma" of the group. Cheerful. Loves to rap and write, and also mixes music. Reads often and collects books. Loves his fans and tries his hardest not to upset them, and to reply to them on Twitter and other sites. Exercises late at night, and usually runs and works his abdomen. Very proud of his body, seeing as though he worked hard to get it. -Born and raised in Seoul. Had a normal, happy childhood. Very smart, and considered a "nerd" throughout school, therefore he didn't have many friends. Preferred to be alone, but became passionate about rap, music and dance when he was 8. Started dancing first, but then discovered rap and began doing in constantly. Grew sad when he saw other children playing with their siblings, wishing he had one of his own, and took comfort in music. Got a phone call from the hospital when he was 16 telling him that his parents had been in an accident and were in critical condition. Dropped everything he was doing and rushed to the hospital, where he was told that they had passed away from extreme damage and blood loss. Went through a period of depression, but got out of it with the help of Cube, the fellow members and of course, music, as well as the friends he had met along the way of achieving his dream.

trainee background : Auditioned for multiple companies and was rejected by all of them. Saw a poster advertising Cube Auditions and thought he'd try one last one. Got accepted as a trainee. Trained for 3 years (auditioned when he was 13), and had a hard trainee life, especially after his parents' deaths. Had a lot of self-doubt and confidence issues, but pushed through and made it.
