Her friends call her an idiot. She's very silly and socially clueless, but she isn't dumb. If someone were to ask her a question she's the kind of girl to say "what?" and then answer the question before it gets repeated. She is an intelligent girl but she is a little on the lazy side. She will make up excuses for things she dosen't want to do, and make up excuses why things that she does want to do sould be done. "no, but, listen. If I don't eat this cake right now, the western hemisphere might explode! Thats why this cake needs to be in my mouth". She is a very stubborn girl, and arguing with her can be like fighting with a brick wall, she will argue her point until it no longer makes sense. She is entertaining, and caring towards those she is friends with because she knows she can be a handful sometimes. She will go out of her way to do nice things when the opporotunity arises. She does have a little habit of feeling left out, lonely or abandoned. Her brother guesses it's the reason why she never made real friends, and prefered to stick around with him. She masks up her negative emotions with her hyperactivity, almost seamlessly so nobody can really tell.

To strangers she seems somewhat cold. She dosen't really know how to act around people she dosen't know, so people who just see her on the street think she is a snotty city girl, because that how her face presents her. If she dosen't know the person she is not one to speak first, unless absolutely necessary. She's the sort of person that people think don't like them, purely because if she dosen't know you, she dosen't know how to present herself. She is cautious of when it is appropriate to act silly and be herself, and when she needs to be professional. But she will be herself when she knows that it is okay.

To give a little more explanation...

Some people would suggest that she isn't feminine, but a tom-boy, which is somewhat true. HyoMi has the values of a boy (sleep, comfort, her art...and she isn't one for cleaning or household chores) but she is still a girl, she likes to look pretty (in her own way). She can be rough, and her image portrays her as such, but she is still a girl (even though she plays like boys would among other boyish traits). Annoyances are the top thing that makes her angry, she will try to ignore things that annoy her (like when people tap repetitively on things, or make incessent noises) but eventually she will blow up and start yelling, once she is mad the only thing that can quell her anger is sleep, or a simple apology.

In all reality she is quite the silly girl, she likes to joke around and have fun in almost any situation (as long as it seems appropriate like I said above). If the atmosphere is boring, she will make it fun with jokes, games, and all-around silliness. She is the kind of girl that usually gets along with boys better than girls, she finds them more easy to relate to, and less judgemental about her style, and overall more fun. Because of this she is completely comfortable with skinship when it concerns guys, this usually isn't recieved well in public because skinship is mostly unacceptable unless it is with someone of the same . On the other hand, skinship with girls makes her feel strange, she becomes nervous and doesn't really know how to behave.

Her determination in her music has turned her into quite the rapper and dancer, and that carries through to her stage preformance. She is very charismatic in her dancing and rapping, and can get a crowd hyped. Even though she has many personal fans, she does not stop training with her rapping and dancing because she wants to become better until she is the best. When it comes to her singing though, she is alright, she isn't the best, but she is okay. She never trained her vocals because she never really wanted to, and when the company tried to get her to train her vocals (when she was a trainee and after debut) she fought it tooth and nail.

On variety shows and TV HyoMi gets a decent amout of camera time because of her being such a joker. She is always up to something, or is always doing something for entertainment. She is a ham to say the least, she doesn't really care if she embarasses herself as long as people are having fun. She is probably the one member that shows their bare face the most (she will get out of bed quickly -without doing her make-up or hair- and ham it up if she knows cameras are around).

She has genuine love for her members, friends, and family and has no problem telling them and showing them. When she has extra cash she always thinks of her family, friends, and members and will try to buy things for everybody (needless to say christmas is expensive). The closer she is to a person the more natural the skinship is, she is not opposed to cuddling up to people or hanging on them on or off camera.

She loves sweatpants, and isn't too sure how to dress up (she dosen't own many dress-y clothes). personality: HyoMi is daddy's little girl. She will go to him for everything. He treats her just like she's daddy's little girl. He will go out of his way just to make her happy, and does his best to always be there for her, he is warm and friendly and very supportive.

personality: Mir is a dificult person to be around, his words can sometimes be harsh, but he is HyoMi's best friend. She really dosen't want anything more than to just spend time with her big brother. The two are like young kittens together, they are incredibly hyperactive and silly and always have fun, but there are times when they both settle down and just be there for one another. There isn't a day that goes by that they don't at least talk on the phone.

family background :

HyoMi was born in JangSeong on her familys farm, when she was near the age of two thouhg, her father got an offer from a friend in Japan to work in an office and make good money. He wanted his family to have a nice beautiful life where they would grow up believeing they could be whatever they wanted to be. The job offer was fantastic, but it meant he would need to leave his wife and chidren.Eventually an arrangement was made that ByungChul (HyoMi's father) would take HyoMi with him to Japan, and Jiyoung(HyoMi's mother) would stay in Korea with HyoMi's brother. ByungChul then took HyoMi and went to Japan where they stayed until her 14th birthday. He had been sending money to her mother while they were in Japan, and for HyoMi's 14th birthday her father announced to her that they were going back to Korea. More specifically so, they were going to Seoul, and she would get to be with her brother again (though she only knew him from pictures and phone calls).

While she was in Japan she wanted nothing more than to just hang out with her brother, and valued the time they spent on the phone. She never made friends while she was in school in Japan, she would communicate in a friendly manner, but she wanted nothing to take away from her brother. HyoMi and her brother are amazingly close for siblings that grew up away from eachother, but the split family kept in contact well while HyoMi grew up in Japan. Her and her brother would talk to eachother on the phone for hours every day (kind of like teenagers do with crushes or boyfriends) and every once in a while they would get to have video chats on the computer. Every once in a while though he wouldn't call, or her mother would pick up the phone and say that he wasn't home, that he went out with his friends. That would upset HyoMi to no end. Feelings of abandonment would well up in her stomach and she wouldn't be able to let it go.

She reasoned with herself, there was no reason why her brother wasn't allowed to have a life. So to try and keep herself busy, she began to spend more time wandering around Japan, and working on her coursework for school. She found the three things that she really enjoyed during that time. She would see people dancing on the street, and saw rappers online (along with this interest she had in the science classes at school). She wanted to be just like these rappers and dancers, so she would practice (even when the phone calls and web chats with her brother picked up again). She started to rap and dance for her brother who encouraged her to keep going.

Little did she know he was posting videos on the internet as she got better, and she gained herself a little fan base. When HyoMis father told her they were going back to Korea, the first thing she did was call her brother and tell him all about it. They were excited, and once they were finally back in the same country, they were inseparable to the point that the only friend HyoMi had was her brother. She would dance with him, rap with him, and tell him her silly science facts that she learned from the internet. When he became an idol, it drove her to work harder. She had already gained something of idol status in the underground rap scene, but it was nothing like what her brother had, and she wanted that too.

He isn't nearly as hyperactive as she is. He is toned down and observant, although he has problems himself, he allows HyoMi to actually open up about her feelings rather than masking them underneath her playfulness.

Her brother influenced her to try out. She hadn't wanted to because she was afraid of being rejected, but CheolYoung really pushed. So she did it, and made it! Once she was a trainee ChoelYoung would constantly tell her how there was no way she wouldn't get it. She already had fans! People loved her work with her dancing and rapping, they gave her a name, and they even created their own fan club. He told her that there was no reason she shouldn't have confidence that she would become a trainee and then debut.

Her brother is what really helped her through her trainee days, her trainers and the other trainees didn't quite appreciate her antics, so she was left trying to behave appropriately. When she behaved appropriately, some other trainees would say she was like a cold city girl, and that shhe looked arrogant, so HyoMi just stayed quiet. She spent nearly all of her trainee days (except maybe a year at the beginning while she was just being herself) with all of her focus on her work. She would dance, rap, refuse to sing, talk to her brother, maybe rap with her brother, eat, slepp, then wake up and do it all over again.
