# Ungrateful reader

“Update soon! Can’t wait to read the next chapter. If you don’t update soon, I’ll unsubscribe from your fic.” Please do remember that writers have life too outside AFF, inspiration doesn’t come all the time, and they don’t get paid for writing. Threatening a writer is so low...

# Overly curious/psychic reader

“What? What will happen next? Will they marry each other? But I thought she has brain cancer. OMG! She will die on their wedding day, isn’t she?! Then he will have his heart broken into pieces then commit suicide! OMG, OMG! I know these will happen!” Obviously no writer will answer such questions and reveal the plot. But it’s fun, until someone guess it right and freak out the writer *LMAO*

# Picky reader

“Huh! Too many mistakes! The story flow is so bad! The characters are overdramatic! I can’t read it anymore.” Nobody is perfect, especially when they just start off as a writer. Giving constructive criticism will help a lot. And no, please don’t praise an awful story by saying it’s so perfect and the writer can write a book next, it’s not helping them to improve at all.

# Cocky reader (usually a writer too)

“I’ll only read other well-known writer’s stories. I’ll only read what people recommend to me.” Get out from your cave...

# Shy reader

Many readers have English as their second, third, and even fourth language thus making them not confident in leaving a comment although they subscribe and read everything a writer makes. Rest assures, not all writers have English as their first language too, and even some that does still makes mistakes too. If you don’t know what to say, “I like your story” is good enough to make the writer smiles.

# Emotional reader

“! How dare that son of a b*tch touch my (put idol name)! He shall be rotten in hell after I cut his d*ck off and shove it into his big fat a*s!” Calm down, it’s just a fictional story *LOL*

# Synopsis reader

“Oh... So they met on a park then quickly fall in love with each other. She is ten years older but it never been a problem in their relationship. Although she is much younger, her mind is even more matured than her partner. They are going to get engaged by next summer after she finished high school then move to Vegas. Awesome chapter.” Eer... Of course the writer knows what they are writing, no need to make a summary of it.

# Gullible reader

Tell me, what’s the point of upvoting an advertised story? Do you know that some writers BUY karmas with real money just to get their story advertised? Because they know, after readers stupidly subscribed and upvoted it (which also returned the writer’s karmas), it will get featured next. See how messy it is? Please only give proper praise and upvote to stories that deserves it.

My suggestion:

Don’t see a story based on who the writer is or how much attention it gets. Lurk around and you will find great stories hidden beneath the pile of less famous ones. Never underestimate a newbie writer.
