The guy in the  MIRROR

Full name: Ahn Yonghwa (Hanja: 安龍鏵) (Hangul: 안 용화)

Surname(s): Baby Yongie

Date of birth: 01 April 1997

Current height: 162cm

Current weight: 45kg

Was born in: Seoul, South Korea

Grew up in: Seoul, South Korea; Toronto, Canada

Languages spoken: Korean (fluent) - This is his mother tongue. English (proficient) - He lived in Canada for the majority of his primary school years.

Does he have an accent, compared to a native Seoul speaker? Nope. And that'd be weird, too, since he's from Seoul.

Ulzzang(or actor, or singer, or idol, or normal guy)’s name: Song Chan Ho

Back-up ulzzang’s name: Park Hyung Seok

The way you dress/Style: He has a very dandy but casual style. He likes sweaters and collared shirts, but will hardly ever wear just a plain t-shirt. He doesn't mind layering, but will most often keep it simple. For bottoms, he most often wears skinny jeans or slim-fit trousers. Shoes vary, but he almost never wears tennis shoes. He likes to accessorize with bracelets and a watch, but hardly wears necklaces. Scarves are for cold weather, as are knit hats. He doesn't like wearing gloves, since he finds them uncomfortable, and his mom would kill him if he wore earrings (so he'll just put them on after leaving the house). If he wears something around his neck, it's usually a camera and/or his phone in a pouch. For formal occasions, he wears a neat suit, and when he goes to sleep, he'll wear either a pajama set his grandma had sewn for him or animal pajamas..

  • Everyday (1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5)
  • Winter (1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5)
  • Formal (1 | 2)
  • Pajamas (1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5)

Personality: Yonghwa is the type that, depending on the company, he will act like polar opposites. At school and among strangers, he'll fulfill the roll of a complete bookworm. His discomfort in this situation translates into him becoming very shy and reserved, talking only when spoken to and even then, stuttering and mumbling. This side of him has likely developed over time, as he was bullied by other kids due to his underdeveloped appearance. Though he has a very sweet and gentle disposition, this side of him can't usually be seen when he's around people he doesn't know. In fact, he's very timid and clumsy when it comes to being around those he doesn't know well. He's non-confrontational, avoidant, and has a particularly difficult time making friends, having grown accustomed to people only wanting to bully him or wanting something from him. He's very much like this around girls as well, as even if he knows her, he'll naturally be very nervous and start to mumble or stutter around her. He's just...not good with the ladies. At all.

However, he really does make a complete 180 when around friends, at Frost, or even in front of the camera. Then, he'll be the cheery, playful, friendly, and child-like maknae everyone knows and loves. He's a loyal friend, if not a bit messy and forgetful, and typically kind-hearted. He finds himself often relying on his good friends for help but is strong on his own as well. In fact, he's probably one of the strongest people in Frost, but because he knows people don't want to see that, he's never actually shown it. Because he's very observant and can read others easily, he will usually only act the way they want to see him act. In that way, people might think that he's fake, but in reality, it's not so much as faking his personality as it is simply not showing the sides of him that he thinks the other doesn't want to see. So really, he's just acting like a KPOP idol. But because of this, he's a lot less innocent and gullible than people think (although that's considering the fact that everyone thinks that he's some little baby that needs to be coddled every second of the day).

Yonghwa can be naïve but is also fairly manipulative and can usually find his way out of any situation. He's a surprisingly natural liar when he needs to be and has an amazing poker face. He's also very smart and sly, making it easy for him to sneak around unnoticed. And even if someone catches him, he can just play up the "I'm so innocent" image he's aquired. His short attention span can make him seem very flighty and impatient, but when it comes to certain things, if he sets his mind to it, he can be probably the most persistant and stubborn people you'll ever meet. Don't be fooled by his seemingly generous gesture of giving money to beggars. In fact, it's a purely selfish action on his part. He only donates in order to satisfy his own selfishness, as he is terrified of becoming a bad person. To avoid that, he actively finds ways to offset his own "dark side", per say.

There are few times Yonghwa shows his true nature. Of course, when alone with his closest friend, Baekhui, he doesn't worry about his image or pleasing the other, he's just a very natural, fifteen-year-old boy. Really, he's not actually all that different from when he's being Frost's maknae, but he is notably less cute. In fact, he rarely shows aegyo and doesn't mind showing his strength. He's more mature, but still child-like and playful. So really, he just doesn't act like the innocent child everyone else knows and loves. He doesn't mind plotting pranks with Baekhui and actually enjoys it. As for when he's with his idols, he's a complete fanboy. He'll want their autograph in his little book, a picture, a high-five...really, anything would work for him. Of course, he'll also be incredibly shy and nervous around his idol, and nine times out of ten, he'll talk too fast, start to stumble over his words, and probably be completely incomprehensible. That's why Baekhui has to be there to translate for him (and be much calmer about it too). Lastly, online, he's cool, friendly, and popular. He's actually very social and sometimes acts as a mentor towards newer fans of KPOP. Really, if someone looked at his images online and offline, no one would be able to guess that those two were the same person. Moreover, he doesn't post his personal information online, and he has a separate cyworld and homepage, so there aren't even any hints.

Time for an interview:

·      Been part of any scandal? Nope. And let's hope he won't be in any in the future either.

·      Do you have any tattoo? And is there any meaning to them? A tattoo at fifteen?! I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

·      What is your special talent? He's really fast. He can talk really fast, run really fast, dance really fast...he's just fast.

·      What is the thing you’re most proud of? He earned a full-ride scholarship to his current high school.

·      What is the thing you wish you hadn’t done? Basically, your biggest mistake. He got expelled from a school in Canada for hitting his teacher. Although he still stands behind his motive for hitting her (she made one of his friends cry), he wishes he could have settled it in a less...violent manner. Still, at least he didn't have to be her student anymore.

·      What do you feel about sports? They're fun! As long as it isn't a full-contact sport...or basketball. Or really anything that requires height. Ping-pong. Now that's something that he can do.

·      How do you feel about animals? Do you eat meat? Of course he eats meat, but that doesn't mean he can't like animals as well! He has a Scottish Fold kitten named Nabi.

·      What was your dream when you were a child? Is it the same as today? He didn't really have a dream before wanting to become an idol singer. When he was six, he watched g.o.d. perform and was inspired.

·      In the group, what personality suits you best and why? Youngest brother. In fact, the youngest sibling in general. He's the type of person others are inclined to take care of.

·      Are you more like fire or ice? Fire. Could you even imagine an icy Yonghwa?

·      What is your favorite gift a fan sent you? He never recieved any gifts from fans. /sob. Well, unless you count the chocolates on Valentines Day from girls at school. In which case, those are his favorites.

How I was raised: His parents weren't ever too strict on him. As long as he studied well, kept out of trouble, and earned good grades, they let him do what he wanted. For the most part. The clash of generations became a major problem exactly three times in his life - when he pierced his ears, when he dyed his hair, and when he told them that he wanted to become a trainee for Frost. For the first issue, it was resolved easily by his mother banning him from wearing earings. The second part was resolved as well; this time his grandmother stepped in and defended his dyed-brown hair. It took a while, but his parents eventually learned to accept that what's done was done. And so they let him keep it. Until it grew out, at least. However, the lasting issue is his dream to become an idol (and his slight obsession over KPOP). His mother insists that he's ruining his life while his dad wants him to follow his dreams. His grandmother agrees with his dad, but Yonghwa's mother is stubborn.

Now: That final issue still hasn't been resolved, but as long as Yonghwa maintains his grades, there's nothing his mom can really say about him being a Frost trainee. Moreover, they've been very careful about what's being said around the house, recently. His grandfather has developed dementia, and no one wants to stress him out more than necessary. Yonghwa really loves and respects his family, and if he needs to talk, he'll likely go to his dad or grandmother for advice. He and his mom are still awkward around each other due to their underlying feud over what Yonghwa should be spending his time on.

My superstar  STORY

How did you become a part of Frost Entertainment: He heard that Jae Sung, one of his favorite actors of all time, was under the label and quickly went to participate in the auditions. His first attempt was when he was still in primary school.

How many years have you trained? 4½ years

How were your trainee days? They're still going on! But if we were to summarize, it'd involve 1) trying to meet Jae Sung, 2) trying to get close to Jae Sung, and 3) practicing (duh). Since he entered at such a young age, he was the one all of the older nunas and hyungs would take care of and watch over. He was like everyone's little brother. Nevertheless, when he wasn't practicing, he would always be on the hunt to find his idols, particularly Jae Sung. What can I say? He's a fanboy.

Did you go to any other agency? Nope.

How many times did you take the audition? 3 times. His skills weren't refined enough to be considered until the third time, when he was nearly eliminated in the second round.

My SOCIAL circle

Friends and bestfriends:

How you met: They really only met when Baekhui joined Frost Entertainment, which was almost three years after he did. As fellow trainees, it was a little difficult not to get to know one another at one point in time. Particularly since Baekhui is well acquainted with the 2pm members...

How you act with each other: They're really just good friends. Maybe it's because Baekhui is the only person that doesn't treat him like he's a baby, but he feels comfortable around her. In fact, she's one of the few girls he isn't completely shy around (the others being his mom and grandmother). They like to hang out and maybe play together. They have similar interests, so there's no problem in finding things to do together (although she gets bored when he starts going on about his Gundam). They're also often times partners in crime, utilizing Yonghwa's sneaky recon skills and Baekhui's planning to manufacture excellent pranks. Although no one would ever guess that Yonghwa was part of it. Lastly, Yonghwa bothers Baekhui about introducing him to idol groups or getting him stuff from idol groups. Baekhui does her best if the request is reasonable, but sometimes she just can't bring herself to do it! (What could someone do with Nickhun's used tissues anyways?) (Sell them, of course!)

Rival(s): He hasn't made any rivals. Yet.

Why did it come down to this?

When did the rivalry begin?

Relationship/How you act with the rival and how she/he acts with you?

Love interest: He can barely talk to girls, let alone date them!

I am full of  TALENTS

Stage name: Yonghwa

Stage persona: The Little Sweetheart

What position do you wish for: Rapper, vocalist, dancer. He wants to be a triple-threat!

Why would you be best in that position? He has the determination and would even spend more years as a trainee so that his skills are all up-to-par.

What are you best at: Rapping, singing, sneaking around, really anything involving speed, aegyo.

What are you worst at: Slowing down (he might sing too fast, rap too fast, or be a beat ahead in dancing), anything involving height, growing.

Personal fanclub name: Phoenix. In Chinese tradition, the dragon symbolizes the emperor and the phoenix is for the empress. His name has dragon in it, so his fans are Phoenixes (a.k.a. they're all empresses in his eyes).

Personal fanclub color: Red. Phoenixes are creatures of flame, and what other color best represents that?

I want to know YOU

How would you act and feel if:

·      There was a spider on your shoulder? He would probably freeze up and blow it off as soon as possible. He doesn't want to touch that!

·      Some other trainee ate your cupcake you had saved for a special occasion? He would probably mope about it until whoever took it felt guilty enough to buy him a new one.

·      A fan offered you an old and ugly teddy bear? A fan? Yonghwa's fan? Forget the teddy bear! He would bring his fan out to eat out of the pure joy of having fans. And then he would put the teddy bear in a special place in his room (at which point his grandmother will end up fixing it up when she comes across it).

·      There was another trainee every member of the staff was praising and set as an example for you? Let him at them! Without a second thought, he would earnestly seek that person's help in improving his lacking points.

·      The director of the company felt like you lacked talent and told you: “Why are you so bad at rapping?” He would feel horrible and apologize repeatedly. He'd then ask for extra time with the instructor so that he could improve and change the director's mind. The last thing that he wants is to get kicked out! No more Jae Sung!

·      Sang Jae Sung came and flirted with you? He would worry about his beloved hyung's health and consult a doctor. What if he went and did the same thing with another guy? *brain explosion*

·      You got a part in the group? ...Weird... I hope they know he's not a girl...

Comments? Hm, I'm hoping that later on, he should suddenly go through this growth spurt that makes him really tall and everyone'll be like, "Dayum, what happened there?"

Now, I only noticed it now, but timeline seems to be weird... Yonghwa trained for 4 and a half year, but Jaesung only became an actor 5 years ago... And he had no big roles at that time, not before 2010. So, it means JaeSung became Yonghwa's favorite actor while still being a supporting cast?

Hahaha! He's so cute! And he's so small... When next to Jae Sung, there's like a 24 cm difference... XD
The way he think is really like an overexcited child (the way I read it, anyway) which is really fitting. :) He has a great personality.
I'm also hoping that he would grow later on too. ^^

Now, I'm struggling with the applicants sections... He's not really an applicant for Gold, but neither is he a solo... I'll probably create another one, later... :)
