personality. Miyoung loves people and loves talking to them.  She can approach anyone easily, but she has trouble making true friends.  As a result, she only has four really good friends: her brother, Jiji, her friend Hyori, Hoya and Lee Sungjong, and two fairly good friends: Yixing and Dongwoo.  Everyone else are just acquaintances.  She also gets lost quite frequently and easily, thus sometimes late to things.  Because of this, she usually sets out about 30 minutes to an hour before the actual event.

She is a very curious person and loves to explore.  Whether it be an old abandoned building or a cave, or some dance studio, she will want to break in and check it out.  She has specifically learned to pick locks for this purpose alone.

When she is stressed, that is when Miyoung gets out her drawing tablet.  It helps her calm down so usually after a long, hard day of practice or after an argument with her otousan (father), she practically burns the paper from the heat caused by the friction of the tip of her pencil.  She has become very good at both drawing and painting, but only Jiji, Hyori, and Sungjong know of this passion.

She loves her big brother to death.  She thinks he’s perfect in every way and she would do anything for him.  They have always been really close and are each other’s best friends.  She can talk to him about anything and misses him when they are separated for long periods of time.  She doesn’t like him when they are around her otousan, who is stern and calloused.  He becomes too stiff and distant and formal and she doesn’t like it at all.  For this reason she dislikes her father a lot.

Miyoung loves to listen to any kind of music, but especially pop and hip hop.  Along with her art, music has always been one of her passions.  She has a really sweet and innocent voice, which adds to her childish persona.  She cannot rap to save her life, although she’s tried very hard.

She loves shopping.  Miyoung is confident in herself and not shy at all –loves the camera.  Miyoung is very bubbly and happy around her oniisan (older brother) and okaasan (mother), but in the presence of her otousan, she becomes sarcastically respectful.  He scolds her often for her behavior and she is cold to him in return.  She’s not angered easily, but is impatient.  She loves skin ship but not when she is angry.  That is where she becomes silent and cold.  If she’s quiet, you know something is wrong, whether it be that she’s depressed or she’s angry.  Like previously mentioned, she doesn’t anger easily, but when she is, she usually tries to hold it in, hence the silent treatment.  But if she doesn’t vent that anger soon in some form (venting to a friend, running, dancing, etc) it all comes out in a very aggressive, screaming, passionate tantrum that leaves everyone scared.

Miyoung never cries, not when she’s angry or sad.  People think that she’s just too happy to cry, but she doesn’t agree.  She thinks that she’s incapable of crying except for tears of boredom (yawning).  Sometimes it scares her... She blames her otousan because she refuses to cry in front of him and it just stuck with her.  Besides, she believes crying is a weakness and she wants to be as strong as possible because deep down (although she’ll never admit it) she wants the approval of her father.

Usually people she doesn’t like are ones that are too full of themselves or talk too much (‘cause she likes her talking time), or think that they are better than everyone else.  She also doesn’t trust in boys who are really gorgeous or attractive.  She stereotypes them as being jerks and feels uncomfortable around them (that’s why she is still slightly uncomfortable around Woohyun, because he just gives off this aura of greasy flirtiness that just turns her away.  Their relationship has gotten better, but only to the point where she won’t glare at him or give him the cold shoulder.  She usually tries to keep her distance and stays REALLY close to Sungjong when Woohyun is around.).

background. Miyoung lived in Japan for most of her life (11 years) before her father’s company forced them to move to Korea for business purposes.  He doesn’t mind since now he can visit his family more often (they live in Seoul) without the hassle of a plane ticket.  She had some friends back in Japan, but she is not one to keep in touch with the past, and although she tried, her communication with them has dwindled.  She took dance classes back in Japan and the love for it has stuck with her all the way through junior high and high school where she joined the dance teams.  Her father doesn’t necessarily approve of her dancing (he thinks that she’s overly obsessed with it), and tries to get her more into academics and schooling (and home making skills so as to be a good wife).

trivia.

-height: 161 cm

-weight: 98 lbs

- plays piano

- looks innocent, but can get very scary if she’s mad enough

- her brother bought her the dog plushy when she was six after their dog died suddenly, named it Star after their original dog

-been dancing for as long as she can remember

- she’s taken voice lessons along with piano

- sometimes pretends to be allergic to milk so that she doesn’t have to drink it, although most people know by now that it’s a lie

-likes to dance more on the hip hop and cool scale (kind of like BoA), but with her cute, innocent image, she dances more girly (like Secret’s Shy Boy) and forced herself to take ballet (even though she hates it).  No one knows this side of her except Hoya (from Infinite) because she keeps it hidden away so as not to ruin her image.  Btw, she has a killer y dance ;P

-is a great dancer, but hardly ever gets to show what she’s made of.  Sometimes she wishes that she could break out of her sweet and innocent look briefly just to dance the way she likes to.  Note: she doesn’t hate the cutesy look, in fact, that is her normal personality, it’s just that she enjoys hip hop more because it’s more of a challenge and really demonstrates what she can do.

family.

Father: Song Tong-lim| 47 (almost 48) | businessman | 12/64 | stern, no nonsense attitude, cold, very strict, workaholic wants Jiji to follow in his footsteps.  Her otousan is not the nicest man.  He is very strict at home (whenever he’s there) and at work (I feel bad for his coworkers).  He has a no nonsense approach towards everything.  Recently, he’s been dragging Jiji to follow in his footsteps.  Really, he wants his children to be successful and this is the only way he knows how to do it.  He works so much to provide a good life for his family so is hardly ever at home.

Mother: Song Motoko | 46 | 04/66 | mother | bubbly, naïve, forgetful, sweet, caring.  Miyoung’s okaasan is a fun, bubbly woman who acts like a school girl sometimes.  Miyoung takes after her mom in that they both love sweet things and clothes, and bright happy things.  Okaasan loves to bake and laugh and talk.  She always sees the good in people and loves them unconditionally no matter what.  She is a very naïve person.  Her mom is very forgetful and so sometimes misses out on a lot of Miyoung’s special activities like performances, recitals, etc.  Miyoung often wonders how such an amazing woman could have married such a crab like her father.

Brother: Song Kenji (Jiji) | 21 | 05/90| business student (secretly taking online medical classes) | loyal, teasing, funny, but also responsible, brilliant, overprotective of Miyoung, happy, carefree, whenever otousan is around he acts very formal and like a completely different person.  Oniisan is a special person to Miyoung.  They have always been like twins.  Miyoung feels like she can be herself around Jiji without feeling as if he’ll judge her.  When they were younger, he would protect her from all of the bullies who said she was too loud and obnoxious and was always there to fend off creepers in junior high and (now) high school.  He loves to skate board and run and play soccer -he’s very athletic and strong.  Also very handsome, he’s had many girlfriends (all of which so far Miyoung has not approved of, but she’s holding out for that perfect girl, like her friend Hyori ;P).  Jiji likes to tease Miyoung all of the time, but beats up anyone else who dares to say a slightly insulting word to her.  He is studying to become a businessman, but wants to be a surgeon.  From his studies, however, he has learned to be a persuasive arguer and can win nearly any argument (but he is too scared of his dad to stand up to him).  In the meantime, he studies surgical practice online for college credit.

clique. Musician.  Or dancer/artist if you would be willing to do that

rivals.

Tiffany | 17 | Tiffany is popular at school, beautiful, and extremely conceited.  Miyoung has known Tiffany since freshman year.  Tiffany was picking on a smaller girl and Miyoung stood up to her, pushing her away and then getting a teacher involved, resulting in Tiffany getting detention and her perfect record slightly flawed in the eyes of the teachers.  The two shared a class with each other and right away Miyoung grew a dislike for Tiffany’s snobbish behavior and the way she still treats most of the other students.  What only makes it worse is that Tiffany is on the school dance team with Miyoung and tries to hit on Jiji whenever he comes by to visit Miyoung or pick her up.  She also flirts with Sungjong whenever he comes (which is rarely, but it does happen occasionally) because she knows it upsets Miyoung.  Miyoung gets upset just seeing her.  Miyoung doesn’t usually say the first word, and tries to avoid all contact whenever possible, but if an argument does break out, she has a sharp tongue and knows how to use it.

Do all rivalries have to be negative?

In a way, Hoya | they are very competitive towards each other when it comes to dancing, so when it comes to that sort of thing, it’s a love-hate relationship

friends(can be idols. maximum of three).

Jang Dongwoo | Miyoung finds him extremely funny and loveable.  They can be dorks together

Zhang Yixing | sweet, forgetful of worldly things but thoughtful when it comes to people, he unknowingly encourages Miyoung to be more selfless.

bestie. bestest friend is Jiji, but other than him, her best friend would be Hyori

Lee Hyori | 16 | art major | quiet and shy | Miyoung got lost on her way to dance class one day their freshman year in high school and ended up in the arts hallway without a clue.  Luckily, Hyori took pity on Miyoung and showed her the way to her classroom | she respects Miyoung a lot and never says a mean thing to her ever.  Miyoung trusts Hyori with her life and goes to her when Jiji isn’t around.  Hyori is ‘secretly’ crushing on Jiji, but is too shy to admit it to anybody, especially Miyoung (but Miyoung knows already.  Unfortunately, her thickheaded brother doesn’t.  He is slowly starting to grow feelings for her as well, but they’re not as well established as Hyori’s).

ex boyfriends. Never been in a relationship before.  Been on a couple of dates, but never had a boyfriend

love interest.

Lee Sungjong | from Infinite |sweet, caring, helpful, cute, easily irritated when people or order him around (but he never talks back because those that order him around are usually older than him and Sungjong is very respectful), but only takes it out on his teddy bear.  Miyoung has been helping him with his anger problems (but they really haven’t gotten anywhere with it), also dances (takes lessons at a studio), can be serious sometimes | She actually met him by accident when she showed up at the wrong dance studio. He helped her get back on the right path and sent her to the right one.  A while after that encounter, she met him at a café close to her place sometime after school one day.  Apparently it was a place he and his friends frequented a lot. Sungjong was sent to order and they bumped into each other as she ordered while he waited for his order to be finished.  They recognized each other at the counter and began talking timidly (well, he was timid, she was really excited to see him and thank him again for his help).  Their orders got mixed up and she ended up with Sungyeol’s bitter coffee instead of her pumpkin spice latte.  Sungjong knew something was wrong when he couldn’t smell the strong scent of Sungyeol’s favorite flavored coffee, but put two and two together when Miyoung started to choke on her drink and spat it out, complaining at the taste.  Sungjong corrected the mistake and explained that the drink she had was his.  She was shocked that such a sweet, innocent looking boy would like this kind of bitter drink and expressed her thoughts.  He corrected her and explained it was for his hyung.  After that, it became routine for them to meet each other at the café after school and would hold small conversations at the counter, only talking about simple stuff.  When their orders were complete, he would go sit with her friends while she went to sit either by herself to work on homework or Hyori if she came along.  As time went on and the more they got to know each other, she gravitated towards his table and they became good friends, and Miyoung found herself becoming attracted to him.  She denied it in the beginning, but now is trying to win his affection without telling him her feelings.  She doesn’t think she’s getting anywhere, but he secretly likes her too and thinks that her ‘hints’ are just her being her.
They spend a lot of time together, even though she isn’t officially part of the group.  Whenever they both have time, they like to be with each other.  They mostly go to the café, but she’ll insist on going out to a park or just to go out and have fun.  Sometimes he’ll convince Miyoung to go to a meat restaurant or somewhere that they could get something to eat.  You could call their excursions ‘dates’ but they both deny it.  Because of his unceasing appetite, she cooks and bakes for him a lot.  She’ll only do it for him, though, because he’s special and wants her cooking to be special for him.  No one else knows why she does this, but they have their suspicions.
Right now, it’s a mutual likeness, but neither one knows about the other’s feelings.  They are just friends, but neither of them is satisfied with that.

two backup love interests.

Hoya | from Infinite | shy, quiet, protective (sometimes overly so), slow to anger | first met him when she sat at Infinite’s table in the café for the first time.  She didn’t really pay him much attention because he’s so quiet and she was too focused on Sungjong (and trying to stay away from Woohyun).  It really wasn’t until the more she got to know them and they started hanging outside of the café, she realized that they had something in common –they are both dancing machines, proud of it, and want to be the best.  They always try to out-dance the other, but most of their battles are done in secret since his style and her public style are so vastly different.  When they do public challenges, it mostly focuses on how accurately they can perform a specific dance in their style or their improv skills.  She loved his style and wanted him to teach her a few moves.  She met up with him secretly to ask him about it and he agreed.  Since then, they have had secret dance practices one every two weeks after school on Fridays.  This is where she shows her real style of dancing.  He’s the only one who knows her passion for hip hop dancing, and she knows that she can trust him to keep her secret.  Their rivalry may not be your standard one, but it’s definitely intense, especially if either one loses to the other and there are challenges for a rematch.  When she loses, she’s a little sulky about it, but recovers quickly after venting her frustration in a playful banter with Hoya.  Sometimes, just to piss him off, she’ll call him ‘Blossom’ since hoyas are flowers.  Luckily, he doesn’t take it too personally.  I think that she could love him if it came to that (I’d rather it not).

Lee Taemin | from SHINee | cute, bubbly, sweet, spoiled since he usually gets what he wants | Miyoung met him at school and found him funny and similar to her.  She doesn’t know him all that well personally, but she knows enough and likes him well enough.  They talk sometimes just because it’s their personalities to be social and talk to people, but they never hang out after school or anything like that.  As of now, they don’t like each other, but they could later on if needs be (but I hope it doesn’t come to that).

how they act around each other.

Miyoung and Sungjong try to think of ways to get revenge on Sungjong’s hyungs for when they are mistreating him.  She is very devious and can come up with some pretty nasty ideas.  Recently, she has been getting butterflies in her tummy whenever she is around Sungjong and can’t stop thinking about him.  At first, she discouraged the idea that she might like him, but she just can’t help her feelings and has now started a mission: Operation Love Potion.  This is where she flirts and bumps up the aegyo (which she has been practicing) to win his affection.  She gets jealous of anyone who steals his attention away and fights for it again.  Sungjong treats her like a dongsaeng or friend, but he is secretly liking her too, but he is unsure of whether to tell Miyoung or not because he doesn’t want to mess up their friendship.  But sometimes he can’t help but tickle her when she pouts (which she does a lot more now that she recognizes a pattern with the behavior), or run his fingers through her hair absentmindedly.  Luckily for him (and her) they already held hands before they started feeling this way towards each other and continue to do it, especially when they are together in big crowds, he’ll hold her hand because he knows how easily she can get lost.  Otherwise, when they are alone and it’s just the two of them, they just talk or play silly games.  Sometimes, when Miyoung is feeling especially devious, she’ll take something of Sungjong’s (ie teddy bear, hat, shoe, etc) and he’ll chase her around until he gets it back.  The other members notice their behavior and think it’s highly suspicious, but whenever they ask about it, the two just say that they are just really good friends and feel very comfortable with each other (without realizing that those words are breaking the other’s heart).

With Hoya, Miyoung is more chill.  She is too focused on her dance steps to cause a ruckus.  She can talk to him easily, but those awkward silences sometimes come up.  She is a very touchy-feely person and finds it funny when Hoya stiffens when she hugs him or takes his arm and whatnot.  She doesn’t like it when he tries to act cool because it makes her think of her tendency to stereotype those kinds of people, even though she knows Hoya isn’t a jerk.  She’ll try to get him to laugh just to hear his laugh.  He’ll unwind around her a little bit around the others, but during their dance lessons, he lets loose.  He’s less careful so he demonstrates his derpy side frequently.

Taemin and Miyoung have fun, polite chats and they are comfortable enough around each other.  He can’t believe she doesn’t like milk and thinks that something must be wrong with her.  There really isn’t a whole lot to this relationship, so I really hope the other two are not taken.

if you want a plot, here's your chance.

I want this to be a sort of ‘forbidden love/ father doesn’t approve’ kind of story.  She starts falling for Sungjong, but her otousan has other ideas for her future and sets her up in an arranged marriage and tries to separate her and Sungjong.  He’s not sure if she likes him or not, but he doesn’t want to take any chances.  So while Miyoung is trying to cultivate her love for Sungjong, her otousan tries to rip them apart (sometimes literally).  But I also want her to grow as a character.  I kind of want her to get over her stereotyping tendency (if only with Tiffany, just a little bit), but if you don’t want to do that, I’m fine with that (she still needs weaknesses at the end of the story, too, right?), and to get her to cry.  Mind you, not to become an emotional wreck, but to be able to cry.  Does that make sense?  And I want people to find out about her dancing, the hip hop version.  I just want this to be a cute love story.  Thank you!

suggested scenes.

-I would like a lot of cute, fluffy scenes with Sungjong.  As for when Miyoung and Sungjong finally confess to each other, I’ll leave that up to your own discretion, just don’t make it too soon or rush it.

-I would like a scene where Miyoung goes to Sungjong’s house with the others and stays a bit too late.  Jiji gets worried and rushes over there, making sure everything is alright, and that she’s safe.  He immediately starts harping on the boys while Miyoung just wants to die as she tries to restrain her older brother.  I kind of want this scene to be humorous, seeing Sungjong get all flustered when he’s suddenly attacked and then his misery when his hyungs start teasing him in front of Miyoung and Jiji about how he should be more careful and stay on good terms with his future-brother-in-law.

-I also want a tickle scene where Miyoung steals something of Sungjong’s and runs around the house with it while he desperately chases her to get it back, tackling her to the floor in the process and pinning her down (not that she puts up much of a fight at that point) or he could trap her in the kitchen and push her up against the counter, leaning into her as she tries to keep his belonging away (as in extending her arm behind her to keep it out of reach).  He tickles her to loosen her grip, but once he almost retrieves it, his hyungs walk in and everyone is just really quiet for a moment.  Then someone coughs awkwardly and tells them to carry on (or whatever/ kind of picturing Sungyeol saying this) and they all leave the room (or hallway or kitchen or wherever it’s located), with the last person out pausing at the door to throw them a wink before leaving (I’m kind of picturing Sungyeol doing this, but whatever floats your boat).

-And please don’t make Sungjong girly.  He’s cute, not girly, so please don’t make him out to be that way.  In fact, a lot of the time, he tries really hard to be masculine just so people don’t call him girly or say he’s gay.  So, yeah, thank you very much!

why should i choose you?

Because I spent freaking forever on this thing!  Just kidding, I know that holds no weight whatsoever.  I think you should choose me because my character has depth to her and isn’t your typical bubbly, flawless, cutesy person.  She has both strengths and weaknesses (if you need more flaws to make my character better, let me know and I can make that happen).  I comment regularly and I usually try to leave good ones.  Also, who else will show Sungjong love?
