Directioners vs Kpoppers
Directioners vs Kpoppers
So…this is a rant..but I HAVE to get this out. I might loose subscribers for this. Before I start, know one thing: I am NOT a directioner! I hate their music and faces ~_~ They can’t sing or dance…
So today..one of my Directioner friends from school mentioned something about 1D and how cute they were or something like that. Being a kpopper and seeing many many gorgeous men compared to 5 boys, I argued & said that my kpop men were better. This got my Directioner friend ticked off and she backfired by saying “At least I know what they’re saying! You don’t even know what your idols are saying!”
Okay. Stop. Bish.
Does that matter? Does it matter that even though most people in America can’t speak Korean or understand it, yet Gangnam Style was (still is) such a huge sensation. Does it matter that I don’t know the words that leave their mouth? Is that what music is about? Understanding the words? I honestly think that when you don’t understand the words, kpop is more beautiful. It just amazes me how kpoppers can be touched even if some have NO idea what they are saying.
Okay cool =_= so then she told me that I only like kpop because of their faces and looks. NO. To clarify, I like kpop for the music AND looks :P
If I can’t understand Korean, but still listen to it and can still be so touched by their music (and sometimes cry from hearing them), then this “music” really affects me. It can cheer my up when none of my friends would. It is my dreams and inspiration. The songs aren’t about like getting high, drugs, or . Kpop doesn’t have lame love song lyrics like “Oh those freckles on your cheeks.” or “When I was 13, I had my first love. She drove me crazy” yadadadada. NO. Listen to me, stupid directioners. Kevin and Hoon sang a song that was about Kiseop. Kiseop admitted that the lyrics were how he felt when he was in depression for TWO MONTHS. He wanted to kill himself. But he didn’t. What does 1D have? Stupid love songs that have no meaning to me.
My connection to kpop is nothing little. It is more than a “hobby.” It’s what makes me happy. It makes me cry. Kpop is my air. So, the Directioner who told me this….just watch what you say because it might be fiction. :)) Don’t mess with kpoppers. ^_^
