FEATURED STORIES.

Why are all the featured stories always the same? They are always those stories that use a cliché character traits and an even more cliché plot line. For example; a story in which one character is forced by his/her parents to marry another character and the two hate each other, but eventually fall in love. Or a story in which one character is "weak" and unconfident and the other character is the stronger one that always saves him/her from their bullies.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with people reading and enjoying these kind of stories, so please don't be offended! People are allowed to read what they like. But for me, I usually can't enjoy these types of stories because I can usually predict what will happen. It bothers me because there are other amazing writers out there with original plot lines and I feel like they deserve to be featured more than a cliché story. And let's face it: all of us have read at least one clichéd story at one point or another. Why would you want to keep reading different stories with the same plot line? Keep in mind that this is just my personal opinion. I am in no way disrespecting the authors that write these stories. They work just as hard as other authors.

What about some of you guys? Do you guys feel the same? or nah?

And the titles too.... *sighs*
I get that to be completely original is hard but to the point where I can already guess what's going to happen is just...absurd.
I agree with what you're saying.
And then there's the grammar... (find a beta reader).

I agree with you, I so agree with you. I don't really have anything against those stories, but it's silly when you think about the fact that they are so repetitive.

Or the stories where the popular guy in high school/ university out of nowhere recognizes the "nerdy" girl who is really shy. And come on, in those stories the girl takes of her glasses (face it, she usually wears them in the story) and she automatically becomes a beauty queen. Like really, that usually doesn't happen.

It's a bit upsetting that original stories don't get featured, but hey, now we know what the majority of AFF readers like, right? Let's hope that one day rarer stories when it comes to the plot will take over

They all typically , and are written by children, for children. The best fic writers have LEFT AFF because of this ever growing nonsense. I can't even handle it.

...And don't forget that literally 97% of them are EXO fanfics... not hating on EXO, but give some other groups a chance, will ya?

Those are the types of stories the majority dream about. It's not going to change over night.
