When/How did you get into Shinhwa?

I think I first knew about them via their winter album and especially the music video of 'Young Gunz'. And ironically, it was via a foreign music channel (I think it was Chinese) while I was living in Indonesia. When I first watched it as it was Korean, it just stabbed me. I just loved the song and the funny thing is that it was the first k-pop song that I listened to by myself.. And I'm Korean... I listened to their songs for a long time and I just got into them more and more that in the end, whenever my father went back to Korea for business trip, I asked him to get a CD of Shinhwa if he can. I think I was in primary.... Uh.. I don’t know...

Who is your favorite member? Why?

Singer Shin!!! (신가수) Syeong!!! (셩) They are both nickname for Hyesung.. I like his voice.. Actually I somewhat like soft voices of guys but low, strong voices for female artists.. No idea why. But anyway, I love his voice... Actually I even don't understand fully why I like him the most in Shinhwa... I just do. Really! It's just like 'Ping!' then when I realized, he became my favourite Shinhwa member.. ^^;; (And my mom used to chuckle at it... She likes Baby Bird the most within Shinhwa... And my younger brother used to laugh at my taste... He said that Hyesung looks just too girly and he prefers Dongwan... Come on! Hyesung might have soft facial structure compared to other members but he's not that "girly"!! He would hate your comment if he heard what you said, my brother!)

How did you know you were a Shinhwa Changjo?

Is there a way to know whether someone is ShinChang? I just know I am Shinhwa Changjo.. Since I like them, their songs and try to search more about them. This really sounds effortless.. Oh! Actually, I think I know that I’m shinhwa Changjo because even though most of my time liking Shinhwa was when they were doing solo activities and absent in media, I still waited for them so I think this count as how I know I’m a ShinChang...

Truth to be told, I actually claimed that I’m not ShinChang because I thought that I’m not worthy enough. But now, when I think about it, it was just a foolish act on my side. Just because I have other interests as well does not mean that I cannot be a ShinChang.. Haha.. but that was what I thought for quite a long time..

Does/Has Shinhwa played a big role in your life?

Actually, yes. My mom makes fun of this but by learning about Shinhwa and falling for them, I started to listen to more Korean songs and she once said that thanks to Shinhwa, I didn't forget Korean nor lost my ability to understand Korean. So it's really a big role as Shinhwa is apparently the reason why I didn't lose my identity and lose my sense of mother tongue. So even now, I truly believe Korean as my mother tongue.

List your top 5 most played Shinhwa songs.

Uh.... I really don't know... I usually just listen to them a lot... Uh.... 'T.O.P', 'Angel', 'Shooting Star', 'Time Machine', 'Only One', '2gether 4ever'.... Did I just typed in one more? Anyway, this question is so cruel!!! I just listens to different songs of them a lot!! And how can I decide which '5' songs that I listened the most?! Oh, I also listened to 'Throw My Fist' a lot as well.. See, I just can't stop listing different songs!! Oh, now 'Young Gunz' just popped up on my head!! And I have been listening to 'On the Road' a lot! But just because it was in the most recently released album, it's not in 5 most played songs!

What's your favorite MV?

So cruel!! So- cruel!! How can you make me to choose favourite MV?! I like most of them!!! I even love their first few MVs!! (Which are quite old-fashioned if you watch them now... But they have very different looking Dongwan!!!) Uh.. I love the MV of 'T.O.P' but also 'Hey dudes'.. Can't forget 'Venus'.. ‘Angel’ was nice even though Hyesung’s act in it is mocked by other members (anyway, they love to make fun of him quite often yet show affection at the same time...) and the MV does not match with the song at all.. The mysterious feeling it gave was nice. Urg... I really hate when people ask about favourites... There's so much of it!

What song(s) do you know all the words to? Can you do any of their dances?

Quite a lot of them. I think it's easier for me to remember the lyrics compared to some international fans as it's my mother tongue... If I have to list them, they are:

Which album to date is your favorite? Why?

... Whoever you are really love the word 'favourite', eh? Hmm.... I don’t really have favourite album... Because I like them all! It’s just that I want earlier shinhwa albums and 7th.... But I would say that from the albums that I own, maybe most recent one “The Return”.. ‘Cause it’s the result of the promise and end product of Shinhwa’s hard work.

The era that you like the best is?

...Urg... There’s no best era not because they are all not nice but rather, every era were nice to me. Well, except 4th when Andy couldn’t attend.... But I would say that if I really have to choose, I would say 7th album era. It’s when they clearly show that they could still succeed without being in a big company such as SM. They awarded 대상. It’s the era that told the world they are still one as Shinhwa.. Well, it’s true that they are still telling them with recent albums but still....

Do you own any official or fan-made merchandise?

Nope. Just few CDs.... Oh wait, do DVDs count? Uh... Have ‘all about Shinhwa’ DVD.. Except that, nope. Asked someone to buy 14th anni con DVD for me... I would love to get official merchandises... Well, wanna go to con first!

Which Shinhwa member did you prefer during solo activities?

Actually, Hyesung. Yes, I know that I'm Hyesung biased SC. I'm Syeongsooni.. (셩수니) But I like his songs and his voice. Yes, as he said before, compared to his debut days, his voice became huskier but it still is his voice and I can't describe but I like his voice! That kind of voice! However, I'll support all of them whether they are doing solo activities or in group.

Leader Moon: 'Liar' and if a non-official one is fine, then 'It's Over Now' (cover which was done in one of the fanmeetings) as well..

Mama bird: Love lots of his songs.... If I have to list a few, they are: '그리워', '왜 전화했어', '銀河', ‘友達‘,　'Gone Today'.. Oh and also can't forget '인형' which was duet song with Lee Jihoon! Oh recently, ‘한 걸음을 더’ became my fav as well..

What variety show starring Shinhwa is your favorite?

Umm.. X-man? Love Letter was nice as well.. Shinhwa broadcast is good to watch as well but you can't deny the fact that it fluctuates according to the topic in that week.

Who do you think is the funniest? Does the best at fan service?

The member who do most fan service is Minwoo. You can't deny that. Look at him!! He always calls SC 'Orange princesses'!! Uh wait.. Funniest? All of them are funny... Actually, I laugh at small things... so... But in good mood, Baby Bird is funniest... But they are most entertaining as a whole.

Which member is closest to your ideal type? Why?

Uh... but...but!!　Actually, my ideal type is not really sided on one member. Hyesung’s voice is the closest to the ideal. Actually, my ideal type is someone with beautiful eyes, soft looking rather than tough looking, Someone who can take care of me very well, who is caring yet believes me to be independent enough.. If I think of it, my ideal type is more of a mixture of all of the Shinhwa members... Yes, I know that I am being picky but still, it’s just ideal type, right? It’s not like I’m trying to find someone who fits to every criteria of the description. But just a tiny bit closer to my ideal type is Hyesung.. Damn, I’m shouting out to the world that I’m absolutely Hyesung-biased ShinChang...

What song(s) by Shinhwa would you like to see made into an MV? Describe what you would like to watch.

'On the Road'

It would be nice if it was like a slideshow of photoes which were taken by instant camera or that kind of old-fashioned camera. I think more of old-fashioned reminiscenizing feeling would be nice for a MV of 'On the Road'...

Who would you like to see cover a Shinhwa song?

I have seen different younger groups doing a cover of a Shinhwa song (quite a number of them = SM groups). However, I would say this. No thank you. It sound very aggressive but I somewhat doubt that they can pull it like Shinhwa. Maybe alter it into their feeling but cannot give the same impression. But it is fine to add their own taste to the song when they do cover.. I would like to see them altering the songs to offer different feeling from the original Shinhwa's version.

If you could have one member perform for you, who would it be and what would they do?

Our 'Singer Shin!!(신가수)' Just please don't bring Philgyo with you... I think he's really nice as well but... When you sing, please don't.. Please leave him to somewhere inside you.... Wait a sec.. Bring him as well. I like that side of Hyesung as well! Ah.. If it could really happen...

At this time, no member has married yet. Who do you think will be the first? How would you react?

Have no idea who will be the first to get married but probably the last would be Hyesung... Look at his ideal type description!!! Oh, in a way, Dongwan’s picky as well... If the members get married and start own families, I will be very happy for them. I'm hoping them to get married soon with worthy women. But their brides should be someone who can take care of them really well. Yep. And I believe that my standard of worthy for Shinhwa members is very high in a way even though it should really be not my business...

If Shinhwa breaks up, how would you react?

It will be heartbreaking but I will still support them individually in whatever they are planning to do. However, I'm doubting that they will ever break up. I mean, they went out of the grasp of SM as group even though SM suggested recontract to few members at that time. They even made their own company. As there is still some legal issues related to the group and SM, members are trying to solve them (especially our Leader Moon). Do you think they will break up and turn all these hard works into mere dusts? No way.

List a few reasons you love Shinhwa.

Uh..

- Keeps promises

- Lovely and envy-worthy friendship

- They are so different when analysed individually yet they create amazing group

- Their looseness (그들의 산만함) even though it’s quite subdued to a certain degree..

- Own style of music

- True feeling of caring for their fans that they show in one way or the other
