I'm not dead.

I've been lurking.

My blogs have been sparse Nearly non existent. But I've just come back to wish you all a happy New year.

I don't know about the rest of you, but this year has been full of ups and downs for me.

I've learned a few home truths, grew out of a certain naivety that plagued me for years, got new qualifications, made new friends, grew apart from old ones, had scares and some grateful experiences. Most importantly, I've found out where I want to go in life while still being realistic.

The majority of the people that are friends with me are probably leaving college and uni now but I want to wish you all blessings and happiness for the new year and hope that it will better than 2012. I hope you can all go on to do whatever you're wanting to do, whether it be further education or a career. And if you're not that far in planning your future, then I hope that you can at least come across a hobby or an interest that can make you feel passionate.

Secondly...

Most of you that used to speak to me may be cursing me out for not updating and throwing out a hundred fics per second and not completing the ones I already have, but I'm sorry – It's my NFO at work.

And lastly...

I recently found out second hand that people have been bad mouthing AFF because it's changed. But that isn't the issue. My problem is that some users are blaming Nichi.

They're blaming him because the layout's changed? No, that would be something of sense. They're blaming him because of some retarded users and their cliché plots. How the Hell does that even work? Do they think he has the time to filter through every single story that gets posted?

, I don't even want to read the main page, let alone inspect every single thing that gets posted.

Not only that, I see some mods getting bashed like it's no ones business for not being able to attend to every beck and call by irrational members here.

Some people need to calm their and remember that the staff of AFF don't get paid for their work and do it just because they like it here. And if some certain, ungrateful people don't like it, I think they should scurry back to Livejournal or wherever the they came from.

I know there are a few things I don't like about AFF anymore, but you don't see me – or 80% of the other users - complaining. Before I signed up here, there was nowhere decent I could post my first fanfics without feeling like some noob, let alone being able to make friends with similar interests.

I also know not everyone has the same level of writing finesse. But, if we don't like something we wouldn't do it, so why do we intentionally read stuff we know we will dislike just so we can kick up a fuss?

It doesn't make sense...
