Zane is not the kind of girl who attracts everybody's attention when she walks into a room; no, her style really has the opposite effect. Zane is really one who does not dress to impress. Her style is solely based on comfort and her very own personality. Zane tends to wear monotone colors because she believes bright or neon colors attract too much attention. On a daily basis her attire consists of an oversized t-shirt, jeans, and a pair of converse. But, on other occassions, she will wear flannel button-up shirts and a pair of TOMs. When it comes to dressing up for a special event, she will wear what a normal guy wears; a blazer, a nice button-up, a bowtie, and slacks. She absolutely NEVER wears dresses or skirts unless someone seriously convinced her to do it. (Which rarely happens.)

When it comes time for her to accessorize, Zane only has one thing she would wear; her angel wing necklace her mother gave to her when she was young. Apparently, it had been passed down in many generations on her mother's side of the family. So, in turn, Zane treasures it deeply. Another accessory that Zane has to wear is her glasses. Zane has very bad eyesight; therefore, she has to wear her glasses at all times. Her mother, along with most of her friends, have tried time and time again to get Zane to get contacts, but she refuses to. She is too afraid.

Warm, optimistic, extroverted and flamboyant are some terms that best describe Zana. Zana is friendly, goodhearted, and generally an agreeable person. But, because she is charming and sociable, she has a tendency to show off. Naturally because of her sociable ways, she is a people person. She is motivated by what others may or may not think about her, and always has to have people around. Without them, she feels lonely and may become sad or depressed. Others say she is very approachable with a warm and soft aura. She is also one of the world's many nurturers. She loves giving to others and taking care of those who are younger than her. Most say she's a natural mother on the inside. Though sometimes she gives the impression of shyness because she is calm, non-violent, refined, innocent, and sweet. She is also a total sap for romance of any kind. Anytime she sees a cute couple together, she instinctively swoons at their connection. She longs for a relationship full of love, romance, and innocence.  
 
Zana is a loyal and trustworthy friend, who can easily be depended upon for advice or support. Zana makes a charming companion, and is often the best person to confide in. She judges a friend  not by their outward appearance, but by how they treat her and their individual personality traits and qualities. She is affectionate, courteous, generous, kind, and thoughtful towards those she cares about, and will absolutely never abandon them. After all, to her, friendship is the most important thing, and she treasures her friends deeply. Zana loves people, and mostly everybody loves her. One of her greatest gifts is her general acceptance of everyone. She is upbeat and enthusiastic and likes almost everyone. Zana is unfailingly generous with her companions, and she will generally treat everyone as one; however, once crossed, Zana is likely to make a very strong and stubborn judgement against the person who crossed her. She is capable of deep dislike in such a situation.
 
When stressed, Zana feels claustrophobic. It is sometimes hard for her to tell others when she needs time to herself, as she tends to answer 'yes' to everything. She can easily become upset or confused with herself because she will clam up, tune out, and not explain anything that is bothering her. This can sometimes anger those close to her, but she will usually stay faithful on other levels. Zana looks honest and gullible as she always has her signature eye smile present. One thing that is very important to Zana is doing the right thing, because she has high moral standards to live up to. Despite her naivete ways, one very evident flaw of Zana's is her competitive nature. She considers everything to be a challenge, and won't let anyone stand in her way. Zana can be very strong willed in such a situation, never listening to commands from others. Although, she does like to win arguments, and she doesn't concede defeat easily. She won't go down without a fight.
 
To a certain extent, Zana can be rather blunt. She tends to just blurt out whatever she is thinking at the moment, making her look silly and childish. Sometimes her words can be rather insensitive and accidentally hurt others feelings. Zana doesn't mean or want to hurt anyone's feelings; she just tends to act before she thinks. In such a situation, she will immediately beg for forgiveness from the person. Other than that, Zana is very loving and understanding, always easy to approach. When you're around her, you don't have to feel self-conscious or have to explain yourself more than once; she always understands. It's hard to hide anything from the young girl, especially when you lie about your feelings. She'll know what's up.

  • Waking up early - Let's just say, Zane isn't really an 'early riser'.
  • Thunderstorms - She absolutely loves the rain part of it, but the loud booming thunder scares her at times.
  • Spicy foods - Zane finds it hard to enoy a food when it is burning .
  • Wearing too much makeup or perfume - Zane prefers to keep herself more natural looking.
  • Drama Queens - When people make a big deal out of stupid things, Zane gets very annoyed.

  • Reading - When she's not working or concentrating on her studies, she enjoys to sit down and read a good book.
  • Baking - Despite the fact that she at cooking, Zane is actually very good at baking. Her mother taught her how to make mooncakes, cookies, cakes, and other sweets.
  • Playing Video Games - At her home, she constantly plays video games with her younger siblings. She especially enjoys playing Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker, and Kirby Air ride.

{special talent} Because Zane is so sappy and romantic, she became really good at writing poetry and short romance stories. Zane also has a beautiful singing voice that she rarely shares with anyone.

{trivia}

  • Because of her father's business, Zane and the rest of her family had to move from their home in America to the bustling city of Busan in South Korea. Because she was raised there, she can fluently use satoori dialect.
  • Zane can easily remember people's faces, but she has a hard time learning names; therefore, she will constantly mix up people's names.
  • Zane oftenly doesn't use public transportation. Instead, she rides her trusty skateboard everywhere she goes.
  • When Zane is stressed or upset, she oftenly writes poetry, short stories, or song lyrics. It takes her mind off of things and helps her enter her 'own little world'.
  • In school, Zane excells greatly in her mathematics classes. So, in turn, she can make calculations in her head very quickly.
  • Zane is extremely afraid of the dark. It's been a severe fear of her's ever since she was a child. This deep fear slowly grew as she aged to the point where she can becomes extremely nervous, have an extreme increase in heart rate, or even fall ill when she is put in darkness too long. Because of this, she sleeps with a nightlight on and is extremely reluctant to go out at night.
  • Zane dreams to someday fall in love, which she already has, and get married. Later in life, she also wishes to have children; 2 to be exact.
  • When Zane cries, she is virtually silent; she was never one to wail or sob.
  • Zane loves anything and everything strawberry flavored; whether it be cake, pocky, milkshakes, ice cream, candy, pop, or even toothpaste.

Zane was raised in a high class and wealthy family consisting of her father, mother, and younger brother Joon. She was raised kindly in a caring home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When she turned 13, her father's business required him to move to the HQ, in Busan, South Korea. Zane was apalled at the idea of leaving her home and all of her friends behind so unexpectedly, but her father forced her to do so. Reluctantly, she packed up her bags and they went on their way. At first, Zane hated Korea and everything about it. But, later she learned to love it and cherish it's hidden beauty.

Zane used to study at a prestigious and wealthy school called Jungsang High. But, when things turned for their worst in her father's business, Zane finds herself as well as the rest of her family virtually lost of all money they once had. This tragic event caused Zane to have to move to the poorer outskirts of Busan and into a rooftop apartment all on her own. Her life as she knows it seems to be over as she steps into the school the next day, and finds everyone gossiping about her father's bankruptcy. Also, because of this new 'poor' lifestyle of hers, all of the richer kids at her school gave her a hard time. This made her feel unworthy of going to such a school, but she held her head high and finished school. Now, her family has much more money than they did before, because of her mother's career, as well as her father building up his business from the ashes. They don't live together, as Zane still lives in her rooftop apartment. After living there for so long (2 years) she's become quite comfortable with her living space as well as her neighbors.

{basic information} Bang Ma Ri ; 45 ; Alive ; Fashion Designer

{personality} Ma Ri is a lovely women with the most unique fashion sense. She is always looking out for her children as she loves them very dearly; nothing is more important than them. She is always supportive of them, and she is very proud of them.

{relationship} Zane has a close relationship with her mother. In fact, Zane will often share all of her problems, concerns, issues, and complaints with her mom, and she always goes to her first for advice. Because Ma Ri is a caring mother, she always gives Zane the best advice that she can, hoping it will help her daughter.

{basic information} Bang Won Ho ; 49 ;  Alive ; Businessman

{personality} Won Ho is a typical family father: kind, caring, and always finding time for his wife and children. But, he does have his times where he can be strict and demanding.

{relationship} Zane isn't very close to her father because he is always trying to tell her what to do. Zane is too independent and rebellious to listen to her father's demands, and is slowly getting on the man's bad side. Despite this, deep down she still has respect for him and his strict antics.

 

{brother}

{basic information} Bang Joon ; 15 ; Alive ; Heir to father's business ; 

{personality} Overall, Joon is nice, sweet, caring, thoughtful, cute, and overprotective. He does sometimes have a mind of his own though, and let's himself become rather obnoxious. He will tease Zane about almost everything; her hair, her clothing style, her laugh, her silly humor, her lanky tall structure; you name it, he makes fun of it. Though, he makes up for this flaw of his by always being able to offer great advice to Zane. This makes her very grateful of having a brother like him.

{relationship} Despite the fact that Joon is younger than Zane, he tends to look out for her no matter what. Whenever she runs into any trouble, Joon is always there by her side to fight alongside her. Even though he's young, Joon always offers great advice for Zane.

{basic information} Oh Jooyeon (Joo) ; 19 ; Alive ; College student ;

{personality} Joo's really quite childish and immature: the perfect definition of a choding. Her childlike antics make him an absolutely hilarious person. She's the type of girl who is always living in the moment, acting like there is no such thing as 'boredom'. Though, her silly yet clever acts make situations fun and exciting. She's really rather an energetic person, and is always on the move.

{relationship} When these two are put together, it is absolutely crazy. They are entirely oppsite in every way possible, but they still manage to get along so well. They've been the best of friends ever since Zane arrive fom Korea. They do a lot of things together like go shopping (much to Zane's dismay), teach eachother new dance moves, study together, hang out, go to the movies, and discuss their love lives.

{personality} When you first meet Seojin she is very standoff-ish, and will not give you the time of day. She will avoid you at all costs. She is quite cold, and self-conceited. She is always completely absorbed in her own ego to ever take notice of those around her. She thinks she's superior to everyone anyway, so why bother giving them unneeded attention? Despite these obvious flaws, she does have one worse: She's very judgmental, and always speaks her mind. Her intention isn't to be rude, she's just rather blunt and will always think out loud. A lot of people hate her because of this.

{relationship} Seojin was one of the few people who bullied Zane. So, in turn, Zane absolutely despises her. The two NEVER had a friendly relationship.

Baekhyun and Zane are close as can be; most might say they are inseparable. They do almost everything together, and are proud to call each other 'best friends'. Baekhyun and Zane are childhood friends, so naturally, they know everything about each other. They hang out a lot, and share inside jokes absolutely no one else understands. They also constantly look out for one another, and try to protect each other from harm. 

{first impression}

When Zane first lays eyes on Baekhyun, she is immediately star struck. She found him to be the most handsome, charming, and innocent guy she had ever seen. Naturally, she was in awe by his pink-slim lips, baby face, and perfectly lined eyes. Zane felt extremely safe around him because he gave off a friendly and soothing aura.

1. Because of Zane's sappy nature and hidden feelings, she writes a love letter each day for Baekhyun, adressing herself as 'anonymous'. Everyday, Baekhyun waits for these letters to appear in his locker because they lift his spirits. He always tells Zane about what his 'secret admirer' says in each letter.
2. One day, the two are entirely bored after a long day of studying together, so Baekhyun suggests that they go and get ice cream together. Because Zane likes to eat a lot, she tends to be rather sloppy and messy, so her ice cream managed to get on her nose. Being the charming guy he is, Baekhyun laughs quietly for a moment at her silliness, and lightly wipes the ice cream off her face with his thumb. Zane is entirely shocked by his action, and sheepishly says thank you.
3. For Zane and Baekhyun's 'frienship anniversary', Baekhyun gives Zane a friendship necklace he found that perfectly resembled the two of them. His was, of course, a bacon pendent with a cute little face, while Zane's was an egg with a heart as a yolk. At first when Zane saw this, she was really touched that he even got her something then she began laughing at his silly gift.
4. The two have come up with nicknames for eachother over the many years they've been friends; Baekhyun calls Zane 'Zizi' while Zane calls Baekhyun 'Hyunnie'. Because Zane's nickname for Baekhyun sounds a lot like 'Honey', Baekhyun will sometimes call Zane 'Honey Baby' jokingly. But, because of his poor English skills, it comes of more as 'Heoni Beibei'.
5. Because of the rude girls in her school calling Zane horrible and crude names, she ends up crying a lot one night. Worried and panicked, Joon calls Baekhyun and tells him about Zane's condition. Baekhyun immediately becomes concerned, and makes his way over to the house. When he gets there, he rushes to her side and begins comforting her. After a little while, Zane stops crying and tells Baekhyun what happened. Baekhyun sooths her with a tight hug and lots of "Shhs" and "It's okay's". When she finally fully calms down, Baekhyun sings to her to try and make her feel better. Naturally, Zane was entranced by his angel-like voice and falls asleep on Baekhyun's shoulder.

{basic information} Jung Ilhoon ; 18 ; Student

{personality} Quiet, warm, caring, and collected are a few terms that best describe Ilhoon. He may be quiet, but once you get to know him he is actually very deep and understanding. He subconsciously thinks of others before himself, and always thinks before he acts. He's very optimistic , like Zana, and always believes everything will turn out for the better. Though, Ihoon can be quite the 'diva'. People oftenly think that Ilhoon is shy, but he's actually rather loud and goofy. He doesn't get angry very easily, and is always joking around with the others. 

{relationship} Ilhoon is head-over-heels in love with the eccentric Zane, while Zane merely thinks of Ilhoon as a friend. The two are neighbors, so naturally they've gotten to know eachother well. When Zane first came from Korea, Ilhoon was the second one to approach her and treat her nicely; for this, Zane was very grateful. So, in turn, she tried her best to be good friends with Ilhoon. In those years, Ilhoon's feelings unknowingly increased for Zane. Because Ilhoon is shy when it comes to talking about his feelings, he never told Zane anything about how much he liked her.

{extra}

1. Because of Ilhoon's charming and sometimes flirty personality, he oftenly slings his arm around Zane's shoulder and greets her as 'Jagi' or 'Yeobo'.
2. Also, anytime he sees Zane, he sneaks up behind her and whispers hello into her ear. Even though Zane should expect it by now, it still scares the crap out of her to the point where she threatens Ilhoon's life. Ilhoon merely laughs at her sillyness.
3. Ilhoon gets jealous of Baekhyun and Zane's close relationship. So, one fateful day when Baekhyun and Zane were hanging out on Zane's porch, Ilhoon storms up and butts into their conversation. The two are immediately taken off guard by his sudden intrusion, but continue to let him talk. Then, out of no where, Ilhoon reaches up and steals a kiss from Zane. Zane is entirely mortified that Ilhoon would do that in front of Baekhyun, so she gets upset and storms inside. Baekhyun gives Ilhoon a glare, and follows her to see if she is okay.
