Please and Thank You = why we should have manners

In this day and age it seems that the younger generations are becoming more and more laid-back with their approach on life. They treat the elderly like friends their own age and people think that it's ok to give sarcastic and possibly questionable comments on people's stories, blogs on here and get away with it.

NO

It does not matter whether you read on here or on Live Journal or whoever you are and whereever you may be right now being rude is not an acceptable action to something.

Saying please and thank you are just the stepping stones of manners and politeness. It's a way of living and an attitude. People who have manners treat others with respect and dignity. It's the same as the saying, 'treat others how you want to be treated.'

This has been a big wake up call for me. It's easy for me to be rude when people upset me or I can't stand someone. Does that mean it's right for me to snap at them? No I have to learn to be careful to control my tongue.

Sometimes it isn't enough to just simply tell someone that they're being rude. The person may be having a hard time right now and need to let off steam (though it's not done justly) sometimes the way they are online is how they in real life.

From what I've gathered the rudest people can be the most insecure or they are the most honest but in the wrong way. We need to be patient with everyone we meet and let go sometimes when they hurt us, chances are they are hurting too.

But it doesn't mean we are to be rude back to those who are rude to us. Be kind to those who hurt you and you will find that you feel better about it later on. Our kpop stars are good examples. Yunho didn't have to forgive that anti fan, the family of the motor biker in the Daesung scandal didn't have to forgive him but they did and as a result things ended better than they could have done.

Christmas is a time for giving whether it's giving of gifts, time or affirmations and so I'm going to encourage you today:

Smile during this season.

Be thankful for what you have.
Treasure those around you.

And smile at the grumpy faces! XD

Merry Christmas

Agreed. I have a hard time being polite to ones who are so rude to me but my nana always told me to be respectful even if I may not like someone...hard as it maybe sometimes ^^; And merry early Christmas <3 Hope you have a great one.
