Found an old piece of story I wrote + 40 Hour Famine

So recently I was just clearing out some old junk from my study room when I came across a hidden pile of stories I wrote early last year for English tutor, and for some strange reason I want to share a particular story with you guys. =/

P.S: Please note that I was just 12 back then, and all of my stories are based on school life...>.> And, it's rather bad compared to what I can write now. Cause this story is SO not original!! XD

"TOMAS!!"

Mia threw a ridiculously large household bucket at Tomas, who was late to a peer support class one afternoon at school. Tomas was immediately knocked off the steep steps. Mia came stomping towards him and pulled his brown beanie towards the front. "Did you forget that we're supposed to have a class with those stupid year ys in period 3?!" Without waiting for a reply she dragged him in the classroom and stuffed the bucket on his head.

"Buckethead, tell us why you were late today! You're setting a bad example to the youngsters of this school."

Tomas removed the bucket, trying to keep calm while the kids were looking at him, wide-eyed. He questioned Mia. "Aren't you setting a bad example to the kids as well, treating people violently? And where the flying tuck did this bucket come from?!" he asked as he stood up and kicked the bucket across the room.

Mia grabbed his collar. "Want me to punch ya?! I was a black-belt when I was 12, so you better be careful!"

Tomas puts on his fakest scared expression. "Oh no! I don't want to be killed by a girl!" The kids laughed.

Mia poked Tomas's pimply nose. "Ok, just shut up and get on with the teaching. We're wasting our time. This is peer support class, not drama class! I'll deal with after school."

When the bell rang for end of school, Mr. Fu, the substitute teach for English, dimissed his students. When all the students were gone he quickly called the actual teacher, Mrs. Manns, by mobile phone to plead for help.

"MRS. MANNS!! Help me..." he begged. "Two students were fighting during class and I don't know how to settle them...can you please take them tomorrow instead of me, even though you're pregnant? Those kids are just too horrible...!"

"Who are these two?"

"Tomas and Mia," replied Mr. Fu.

Mrs. Manns gasped. "That isn't too good..."

"What do you mean?!" exclaimed Mr. Fu.

Mrs. Manns sighed through the phone. "That Mia...you better watch out for her. She's a real pain in the neck. My mother knew her grandmother. I head from her that she was involved in family violence. I don't know much about her. Even her classmates finds her mysterious. She's very impatient and violent, even to the boys. But she does not bully people on purpose, I can tell you that. Cold on the outside, warm in the heart. That's just her..."

~~~
Mia raced past Tomas and gave him an unexpected punch on his back. Tomas yelled in pain.
"That's what you get for mucking around during peer support and English!"
Tomas's eyes looked wild with rage. "What's your problem, ey?! Why are you suddenly so violent this week than usual? And why ME?!"
"For once stop questioning me!!" yelled Mia. She ran off.
Tomas sighed. "I just don't get girls..."
NEXT DAY...
"Period 1...English. Damn," said Mia as she read from her planner. She got her heavy English books and closed her tiny locker.
After homegroup she sprinted to the English classroom. She was flabbergasted to see Mrs. Manns and her giant tummy. "At least that sissy teacher Mr. Fu isn't here," she mumbled to herself as she went in.
When the bell rang for recess, Mrs. Manns dismissed her students as usual, but Mia and Tomas got stayed behind. They were both shocked. Did they missed a detention? Tomas prayed silently that he won't get a referral. Mia just sat there gloomily, staring into space.
Mrs. Manns broke the silence.
"I heard what has been going on between you two from Mr. Fu."
"Shoot!!" thought Mia. She looked up. Mrs. Manns was looking at her sympathetically for a second before turning away. "What's with her? What does she know about me?"
Mrs. Manns cleared . "I'll be nice this time. I'm not giving any of you a detention or referral this time, but if someone catches any of you physically and verbally bullying each other again, it will be an immediate referral, understand? You guys are peer support leaders. I shouldn't have to tell you this. Especially you, Mia," she said, looking at Mia again with the same sympathetic expression. She looking ahead and cleared once more. "Right, off you go now! We can't stay here forever."
~~~

"Wow, Mia! Are you sure that's Mrs. Manns?" asked one of Mia's friends, Yuna. "She's usually a strict teacher. Maybe she's also a softie inside, like you!"

Mia let out a little sigh. "When she told me off, it was in a really gentle way. I couldn't believe it was her that time. She's confusing me. I mean, what the hell is with that face she keeps on giving me everytime she sees me? It's freaking me out!!"

Yuna thought about it. She took a bite off her fruit fix. "I see..." she murmured. "She probably knows about your past. But who told her exactly?"

Mia shrugged her shoulders. "Meh, for now I should concentrate on being gentler, especially to Tomas during peer support. Last peer support lesson, I think I might have been a bit too aggro at him."

Yuna gave her a nudge

"Oh, who am I kidding?! The whole thing is my fault! Tomas is naturally a calm person, but if he gets annoyed, he can be a complete different person."

"If you reall want to stop being so easily fired up, try to be like the positive Tomas," Yuna replied. Mia considered it.

"I don't know..."

On the next peer support class, Mia and Tomas arrived on time with no arguments. There was an awkward silence between them, but it was better than arguing. The only time they talked was when they were teaching the year 7s. the kids were also wondering what had happened between them. "They seem really quiet." "Have they broken up? "It's so much peaceful now!" And so on.

In the middle of the lesson, when all of the kids were doing word searches together, Mia tapped on Tomas's shoulder. "Oi, buckethead. Just because we're trying not to argue, doesn't mean we can't talk to each other." She smiled at him. "It makes me itchy if we're not doing anything together." Tomas frozed.

"Oh no..."

OK!!

So, according to my English teacher, I got 9.5/10. o_0 WTF?

I know, I know...it's TOTALLY copied off SO many different shows it's not funny. Mia and Tomas are actually roughly based on Misaki and Tsubasa in Japanese anime/manga 'Gakuen Alice', hence the name similarities. The "makes me itchy" bit was from Natsume from the same anime/manga. And the "black-belt when I was 12" part was off Theresa from 'Class of the Titans'.

Anyway, as I was reading this, I noticed a slight romantic hint in the story...and honestly, I actually like the chemistry between those two. o_0 ^^

So...
