family background: She grew up in Busan with her mother and father. They were really close to eachother. Her parents would always work though. So she would be at home with a baby sitter or even alone at times. It didn't bother her though she would just study, play, and practice the violin, which was a gift from her grandfather. So that violin is very dear to her. At the age of 10, her mom found out her dad cheated on her. Things were said, things were thrown and broken, but DaEun was just in her room playing the violin, ignoring everything that went on around her. Later that night her mom grabbed some clothes and DaEun took her violin and they left on bus to Seoul. She lived a normal life there, her mom and her were on their own but they made it by pretty well.  When she first arrived at school people would make fun of her 'Satoori' dialect but they soon got over it. She only had a small patch of friends who she would hang out with but she wasn't really close to them. It was kind of like she had no friends, but it was okay she liked being alone. At school, she would spend most of her time in the music room. Most of  weeks consisted on just practicing  the violin, and study. Her music teacher, who she was really close to, encouraged her to try someting else. So, she went with singing, she was so suprised how millions of feelings could be told in the world of song. And so, her love for the arts bloomed even more. She would write poems and compose songs, she then tried rap. She loved how aggressivley they would express themselves and with such passion with just a few words. She ended up loving it.

personality:  DaEun is a very bright girl. She always wears a smile on her face. She loves to help others. She is very polite and respectful. DaEun is not good at aegyo (or being cute at all) and she always fails at it, but it makes others laugh. She can be quite a hot head sometimes, she can also be a bit competitive, and she sometimes gets jealous. But she denies all of those accusations. She can be very stuborn at times and tends to push herself a lot. She is always singing and practicing her vocals. She loves to sing her heart out, she puts her soul into it. Whenever she is sad or feeling down she sings. Whenever she is stressed she dances, and sometimes she spends hours in the dance room without even realizing it. She can also be a bit naive at times. She is quite nerdy, she knows a lot about science, since it’s her favorite subject to learn. She is study at a university at the moment. The members like to poke fun at her dorkiness. She doesn’t mind (mainly because she comes up with some pretty good comebacks.

DaEun likes to keep what she is actually feeling on the inside contained. But when they unleash, everything she actually feels comes out. When she is sad she ends up writing a song or rap (most of the time a sad one) or locks herself in her room and plays the violin all night long. Whenever she is angry or stressed she goes out for jogs, or lets her frustrations out in dance, she can be in the dance room for hours and not even realize it. She tries her best to avoid problems and run away for them, but they always end up eating her alive.

DaEun and SooJin are very close to eachother but sometimes get off on the wrong foot. SooJin tries to control her daughter life. Saying that "it's for her own good" and all of those things. But DaEun doesn't listen, she is not trying to be rebellious, she just wants to be happy with the decisions she makes. They joke around with eachother at times.

-Father: Hwang DaeSeok / 44 / construction worker / patient, kind, silent-type, humble.

DaEun hasn't seen her father in years. And she is not sure if she wants to see him, she's not mad at him or anything, she just thinks she isn't emotionally ready. They used to be really close to eachother. He would fight off the monsters under her bed and in the closet, would attack her with the the tickle monster. That all changed when she left. He would call her everyday, but the time they spent talking to eachother kept decreasing and decreasing. They still talk on the phone, only saying "Hi, how are you?" and the response would be, "Good." She sometimes has those moments where she wants to see him asking if he is eating well, taking care of his health. But they are both very awkward when it comes to these things. She she doesn't know when it will happen.

rivals: Park JiYeon  / 19/20 / T-ARA / JiYeon and DaEun met on a music show. And from the start, for some reason JiYeon didn't like her. DaEun noticed that moment when JiYeon made a stink eye in her direction. DaEun didn't even know the girl and she was disliked already. So, DaEun grew to dislike her also. DaEun noticed how JiYeon would act very sweet in front of the camera and then into a conceited spoiled brat away from it. And DaEun really disliked that. JiYon hates her because of one reason, Kim Myungsoo. JiYeon sees the way Myungsoo teases DaEun (who "hates" Kim Myungsoo)  and looks at her, and JiYeon gets incredibly jealous, so she goes up to Myungsoo and tries to flirt with him, but he always ignores her. Only Radiant's members and DaEun's close friends know about the relationship between them.

When she finished she was out of breath and her hair was matted to her sweaty forehead. She had never felt so powerful in life. She was going to tell them about her playing the violin, but they told she could leave. She left feeling kind of doubtful, but when she arrived home later that night, she recieved a call from one of the judges and that person told her that she accepted into SM Academy and to arrive tomorrow. She she did go, and her training began. She has been training with SM for 6 years. (She has the voice of Girl's Day, Minah. And raps like 4Minutes's Jiyoon)

how they met: They met when DaEun was a trainee. She was running trying to get to SM Academy in time. She was running with her violin, in it's case and bumped into someone. Which was Kim Myungsoo, she didn't notice and quickly ran awy while bowing and muttering 'sorry'. She quickly forgot about it, but he remembered. They met again on a music show, Myungsoo was trying to flirt witth one of her fellow members. The member didn't like it and told DaEun and DaEun told Myungsoo to stop.

how they act around each other:  They argue like cats and dogs.  Myungsoo always tries to get her angry, which he always succeeds at, and teases her. He tries to flirt with her too but she's to dense too notice. DaEun finds him really annoying and a big jerk that's always flirting with girls. She hates him so much, but she sometimes finds herself thinking about him.

how they act around each other:  Da Eun doesn't notice her little crush on  him until after EXO debuts. She notice how different he looks on stage and her heart flutters.  She tries to avoid her school girl crush on him, since they are friends. But it doesn't work out too well, she ends up sputtering some nonsense, and Chanyeol, who doesn't think anything of it only laughs.
