SooRin is a very bright girl. She always wears a smile on her face. Any little thing makes her smile.  She loves to help others. She is very polite and respectful. She rarely gets angry. Soorin is not the best at aegyo and she always fails at it, but it makes others laugh. She can be quite a hot head sometimes, shr also be a bit competative, and she sometimes gets jealous. But she denies all of those accusations. She is always singing and practicing her vocals. She loves to sing her heart out. She puts her soul into it. Whenever she is sad or feeling down she sings. Whenever she is stressed she dances, and sometimes she spends hour in the room the whole day without even realizing it. She can also be a bit naive at times.

Behind the smile, SooRin is deeply hurt. And sometimes it eats her alive. SooRin barely lets her emotions take the best of her, but when she does she just loses all control and endlessly cries.

SooRin has scars on her body that she gets really self-conscious about. She gets worried that someone will notice whenever she shows her arms and legs.

SooRin lived a happy life with her two parents, Lee JiMin and Lee HyunSeok. She was an only child, but never felt lonely because her parents would always be there for her. It all changed at the age of six. Her father began to drink. He would arrive home in the middle of the night; her mother would put her to sleep and stay up and wait for him. Sometimes he would arrive in a bad mood he would talk to her aggressively or raise his voice at her. He was even beginning to distance himself from SooRin too. As months went by his drinking got worse. He was an aggressive drunk so he would arrive home and begin to yell and hit her mom; he once hit her with a beer bottle. Her mom would try to protect herself, but he was much stronger than her. She never wanted to leave him because she loved him too much. At the age of seven SooRin would arrive home from school, and when she just got home JiMin would have her hide in the closet or under her bed and have her cover her ears, because right when dad got home he would terribly hurt her mother, he would punch, kick, and say horrible things to her. The abuse lasted a while, and SooRin new all about it. She would want to defend her mom, but she would always scold SooRin and tell her to stay put. SooRin never covered her ears while the beatings happened. She would just be crying, feeling hurt helpless, and useless. Everything changed at the age of ten, SooRin came later from school than usual and caught her dad hurting her mom. SooRin ran to her mom and tried to protect her, but her dad punched her in the face SooRin landed on pieces of glass, that must’ve been thrown and began to bleed heavily, all over her abdomen arms, hands, and legs; since she landed on those parts of her body. Luckily, her cuts were not deep, but they did leave scars. Soorin getting hurt was the last straw for her mother, while Hyunseok was out drinking that night, she packed up all of their important belongings and took a bus to Seoul.

Living in Seoul was difficult for them at first; her mom never had a stable job, so they never had stable living conditions. They would move a lot, so SooRin would always change schools and she never made any long lasting friendships. Since she was always the ‘new girl’ at her schools, SooRin would always be a target for bullying. They once grabbed and cut her long hair into a short bob. She remembers crying a lot that night in her mother’s arms. The older she got, the more she got used to it.  SooRin learned to grow up really fast , when she arrived home her mother wouldn’t be there to greet her, she was out working, so SooRin learned how to cook and do house work so that when her tired mom got home from work, so she would not have to do it. SooRin did not mind, if her mom was healthy and took care of herself, she was happy.

Soorin learned about her love for music at a young age. Her mom would always sing to her, even as she got older, they always sang together. At the age of twelve her mom encourage her to take music lessons. So, SooRin learned how to play the saxophone and took vocal lessons. She her want to exand in her musicality began to bloom.

While SooRin was young and they left for Seoul they always had to move just so they were able to buy food.  It makes JiMin sad that because of that her daughter has faced many sad things over the years. JiMin is very hardworking and keeps on persevering. She can be very stubborn at times. She loves making SooRin smile, which she rarely gets to see her because she is always working. She wants SooRin to be safe happy and healthy, and to live a good life.

Lee HyunSeok | 42 | father |drunkard | Ever since SooRin and her mother left for Seoul she knows nothing about him. She is also scared that he will come and hurt them.

When she arrived her mom was talking to a lady, and that lady happened to be Myungsoo’s mother. And Myungsoo was with her at the moment (he already debuted with Infinite). Myungsoo’s mom and her mom are like best friends. But it’s the opposite for SooRin and Myungsoo. Myungsoo always makes fun of her, saying that she’ll never debut and that’s she is weird and awkward. While SooRin thinks Myungsoo is a narcissistic jerk, that only cares for himself. They hate eachother but in front of their moms they make it look like they are friendly with each other. They hate each other, but they can’t stop thinking of each other.
