Personality: Simply put, she's two-faced. Eun Ae likes to pretend she's got everything together - looks, brains, charisma, riches, charity, athleticism, musical ability, the works - and flaunts her 'talents' and 'generosity' with apparent ease and charm. The reality is, she's probably the most stubborn girl her country has ever seen who can't accept anything less than self-perfection, so works extremely hard to maintain this picture-perfect image. She's someone who will do whatever it takes to improve her image even if she hates it, and she can also reign in her annoyance, dislike or hate for somebody for the sake of that immaculate reputation. She does feel some jealousy for naturally talented people though, but really does think that she's better than even them because she's worked for it - Chang Eunae is perfect, thank you very much, and she's not about to let anyone forget it.

Underneath all those layers of fabricated "perfection" is someone who is capable of attentiveness to her (very) few loved ones, bouts of childishness and a dry, sarcastic and often downright erted humour. She openly acknowledges the warm bask of compliments frequently thrown her way and only tones down her self-praise if she will gain something from it. That said however, there are never enough compliments for her liking.

What she is today is the product of both her greatest fears and insecurities - to be incompetent, to be boring, or god forbid - invisible.

Chang Seungho | 42 | August 10th, 1970 | CEO of Kwang Myeong & Co. Textiles | Distant - rarely had the time to be there for his daughters while they were growing up. He wants to spend more time with them but has no idea how act around them.

Chang Kiyoung | 43 | January 22nd, 1969 | Museum Curator | Distant; strained - Doesn't seem to notice that she actually has children most of the time. When she does comment or talk to her daughters, its in a faintly disapproving but otherwise blase tone of voice (don't they know that she herself had accomplished much more at their ages?). Eunae despises her, but can't help but crave for her approval.

Chang Miyoung | 9 | September 3rd, 2003 | Student | Incredibly close - Adores her older sister to death, considering her more of a mother than Chang Kiyoung ever was.

Kang Jieun | 18 | 17th September | Student | Claimed 'best friend' status as soon as she saw how large and ornately decorated the Chang family house was when they met in middle school. She grew to like Eunae's determined and never-give-up attitude & constantly compliments her, but is the flaky sort of friend that only hangs around for the highs and not the lows.

Park Chanyeol | 19 | 27th November | Student | The only person who really knows about her insecurities and self-doubt. Constantly tries to support and cheer her up, even if she had abandoned their friendship for popularity sometime in middle school.

Family background/history/past: Born into a prosperous time for her family, when her father's Milan-based textile company began flourishing. Grew up there until she was 7 years old, when business prompted the family's return to Korea. Her family has never been closely knit, so when her little sister was born she took it upon herself to care for Miyoung properly.

How close are you? Very close. Their long friendship had meant that Eunae was happy to declare the pair of them best friends until popularity got to her head, and there never was room for people who looked as ‘nerdy’ as Chanyeol in that crowd. Eunae is more distant with him nowadays, but the truth is that he always keeps tabs on what’s on in her life and supports her from the background.

How do you act around one another? Likes to rant to him about anything and everything when they're alone, and his playfulness would bring out her own childishness. You can tell that being around him subconsciously relaxes her - it shows in her body language. She's also comfortable enough to crack ridiculous amounts of dirty jokes with him ;p

In public, they don't appear to register each other's existence much. Chanyeol knows how much Eunae's reputation means to her, so doesn't associate himself too much with her.

How close are you? Not at all; they're almost strangers. She had barely registered on his mind – it just didn’t have any real relevance to him before. Physically speaking however, Eunae certainly gets quite up close and personal with him ;p

How do you act around one another? Eunae goes after Kris as she would any of her other ‘conquests’ – in other words, she’s going after his total surrender hahaha

Kris is just really confused and kind of terrified, and the feeling intensifies the longer this girl keeps up the pursuit. Over a short period of time, Eunae’s flirtations make him want to go home and take a nap or something.

Kim Hyeonsoo | 20

How close WERE you? Not very. Well, Hyeonsoo thinks that he was her first true love but Eunae sees him just as ‘that guy I used to date’.

How do you act around each other now (if you still see them)? They don’t see each other anymore, though Hyeonsoo sends short, faintly flirty emails to Eunae every once in a while to see how she’s doing.

Reason for break-up? He moved to Japan for college, so it was the troubles of “long-distance relationships”. In reality, Eunae just thought he was some nice eye candy to have for a while and it was time to move on ;p
