Brief Personality:

Jaemi is generally pleasant towards people. She usually puts up a friendly attitude towards people she just met, always having a smile on her face wherever she goes, although in reality, her social skills are really close to none. Jaemi tends to be socially awkward. She doesn't like to start off conversations, or more like, she doesn't know how to. Jaemi has this tendency to speak without thinking when she gets too excited or nervous. Because of that, she has this paranoia that every time she opens to speak, stupid things will come out and she'll offend the people she's talking to. However, she doesn't like it when people have bad impressions on her without really getting to know her, thus the only way she knows to is to smile. Her life principle is 'if you want people to respect you, you have to respect them the way you want them to you.'

Jaemi is a heavy procrastinator. She loves doing things last minute, no matter how big or small they are; from doing her laundry to getting her orders done. She claims that she works best last minute; which is actually true. Jaemi's the type who works well under pressure. Due to that, she never complains when her orders pile up. In less than 3 days, she'll finish up all her client's orders and even bake brownies for herself afterwards. Her tardiness sometimes annoys her friends and employees, but they couldn't tell her off about it because Jaemi hates it when people forces her to do things when she's not in the mood, and she'll never listen to anyone no matter how they try to force her into it. Being the only girl in the household, she usually get things done her way(mostly because they can't stand her when she starts to whine). She is also an indecisive person, she hates it when she has to decide over things. In the end, she'll just let others choose and she'll just go with the flow.

How Jaemi acts depends on who she's with. To strangers, Jaemi is the pastry shop owner whose smile is as sweet as her delicacies. She doesn't talk much but she always gives off this friendly aura that it is okay to make conversations with her. To close friends, however, is a different story. Once she feels that she's comfortable enough around you, that's when her true colours show. Jaemi is naturally sarcastic(thanks to big brother Heechul), and she loves to tease and mock you. She usually ends her statements with 'just kiddingggggg.' and you will know that she is, and she's doing that just because you're already considered as special people in her life, and eventually you'll never take her words to heart. She rarely takes things seriously, always laughing them off. She also loves to annoy her family and friends; always bugging them with things they don't like. For example, if you hate aegyo, she'll purposely do aegyo in front of you just to piss you off. If you made a typo or mispronounce words, she'll tease you about it whenever she has a chance. If your crush walks by, she'll nudge you and repeat your name loudly that you feel like pushing her off a cliff.

Family Background:

Jaemi is the youngest out of two and was born in a well-do family. When she was a year and a half, her parents and her aunt on her mother's side, along with her husband went to an annual grand dinner for her uncle's company. Jaemi, Heechul and her cousin Jonghyun was left at their grandmother's house in Insadong. Sadly, their parents were met with a fatal accident on their way home, automatically leaving their children as orphans. Their grandmother took care of them ever since.

Jaemi's grandmother, Jin-ah owns a small mandoo shop in the neighbourhood, and her grandkids often help her with it. The store next to them was a korean dessert shop, and that's how Jaemi profound her love for sweet things. The store-ajumma always give the kids free desserts whenever they stop by at her shop. Jaemi started learning her baking skills through the owner.

Due to her parents' inheritance, although without her parents Jaemi and her brother grew up without any complications. They were sent to an international elite school in Gangnam. Jaemi took cooking classes for extra credits. After high-school, she went to further in business management, minoring in culinary arts. She graduated when she was 21, and using her parents' money she started a pastry shop business.

[ lee jin ah | 73 | mandoo stall owner | oc | grandmother. she's an gentle old-lady who everyone in the neighbourhood loves. she loves her grandchildren very much, and as Jaemi's her only granddaughter, she loves her very much. she never scolds Jaemi if she done anything wrong, instead she always gives her plenty of advices and words of wisdom for her to follow. since Jaemi lost her mother when she was a baby, her grandmother is her mother-figure and always come to her when Jaemi's faced with any sort of difficulties and troubles. ]

[ kim heechul | 29 | civil engineer/manager/co-owner of sugrrrlicious! | idol-suju | older brother. being her only sibling, Heechul takes the role of her older brother and her father-figure. As the eldest, he basically helped his grandmother to raise his sister and cousin. He often nags at Jaemi (and Jonghyun, eventually) and bully her a lot. despite it all, he still cater to Jaemi's every wish and tries his best whenever she came to him for help and advice. and although Jaemi can be a brat to her brother, she respects him and will never let him down. ]

[ kim jonghyun | 22 | music composition major/co-owner of sugrrrlicious! | idol-shinee | cousin. being the same age and practically grew up together, Jaemi and Jonghyun are 'attached', everyone who knows them will call them 'twins'. since they were kids, whenever there's Jaemi, there will be Jonghyun, and vice versa.He's a bit obnoxious and annoying at times, and most of the time Jaemi can't stand him. he loves to and drives her up the wall. but  different from Heechul, who she sees as a father figure; Jonghyun, to Jaemi is her brother, sister and her bestest friend.  they knew each other's secrets, and even the deepest darkest ones. although they bicker around and throw insults all the time, that's just how they roll. ]

Relationship with you: myungsoo is taemin's senior/dormmate. he doesn't like sweet things, or in other words, he hates them. he was dragged into the store by taemin one day becase taemin wants to introduce his new roommate to his jaemi-noona. jaemi offered myungsoo a piece of her infamous cheesecake as a first-meeting gift, which he didn't take it but instead stared daggers towards the cake. jaemi was puzzled but taemin explained that myungsoo hates desserts, which jaemi somewhat took it personally. she immediately hired myungsoo to become an employee(although he's not actually looking for a job), he declined but in the end after endless persuading(jaemi kept saying hshe needs more flower-boys to attract customers) he finally accepted. since then she always tried to make myungsoo eat her homemade desserts, but myungsoo is always too stubborn to.
myungsoo had a crush on jaemi, but never confesses as he realizes jaemi only sees him as a younger brother. he hides his feelings by being cold and always disagree with anything that jaemi says. jaemi actually has feelings for him too, but she will never admit she likes someone younger than her.

 

Back-up love interest: lee jinki(onew) - shinee

Job: baker

Relationship with you: jinki is jonghyun's bestfriend. they knew each other in highschool and she and jinki took cooking classes together. when jaemi wants to open a dessert shop, he was the first one who came in mind when she wanted to hire a baker to help her. he's the person who always get to get work done when jaemi is in her 'off-mode'. the gentle and kind jinki will always get irritated and turned into a nagging monster that time, and jaemi finds it really cute when jinki is in that mode.
