Mia is generally pleasant towards people. Unlike her sisters who seem a bit cold towards strangers, Mia usually puts up a friendly attitude towards people she just met, always having a smile on her face wherever she goes, although in reality, Mia's social skills are really close to none. Also unlike her sisters, who has a natural talent of attracting guys only by just breathing, Mia tends to be socially awkward. She doesn't like to start off conversations, or more like, she doesn't know how to. Mia has this tendency to speak without thinking when she gets too excited or nervous. Because of that, she has this paranoia that every time she opens to speak, stupid things will come out and she'll offend the people she's talking to. However, she doesn't like it when people have bad impressions on her without really getting to know her, thus the only way she knows to is to smile. Her life principle is 'if you want people to respect you, you have to respect them the way you want them to you.'

Mia is a heavy procrastinator. She loves doing things last minute, no matter how big or small they are; from doing her laundry to memorising her lines in a song. She claims that she works best last minute; which is actually true. Mia's the type who works well under pressure. Due to that, she never complains when she was held back for not perfecting a song. In 2 hours, she'll memorize her lines and even the adlibs of her teammates.The only thing she's really serious about is dancing as it is her passion and the only way she can really express herself. Her tardiness sometimes annoys her managers and teammates, but they couldn't tell her off about it because Mia hates it when people forces her to do things when she's not in the mood, and she'll never listen to anyone no matter how they try to force her into it. The thing that Mia really takes pride in is that she's a good listener and a secret keeper. Although she's not that great at giving advices, she will always lend an ear for everyone who needs it. People love to go to her just to tell her anything and everything because she doesn't judge; or more like, she'll mentally judge them but always keeping it to herself. She won't interrupt and let them finish before she starts talking or only when they ask for opinions. How Mia acts depends on who she's with. To strangers, Mia is the Jung sister who's always smiling and greets you whenever she sees you. She doesn't talk much but she always gives off this friendly aura that it is okay to make conversations with her. To close friends, however, is a different story. Once she feels that she's comfortable enough around you, that's when her true colours show. Mia is naturally sarcastic, and she loves to tease and mock you. She usually ends her statements with 'just kiddingggggg.' and you will know that she is, and she's doing that just because you're already considered as special people in her life, and eventually you'll never take her words to heart. She rarely takes things seriously, always laughing them off. She also loves to annoy her sisters and friends; always bugging them with things they don't like. For example, if you hate aegyo, she'll purposely do aegyo in front of you just to piss you off. If you made a typo or mispronounce words, she'll tease you about it whenever she has a chance. If your crush walks by, she'll nudge you and repeat your name loudly that you feel like pushing her off a cliff.

However, Mia doesn't like to show her true feelings to everyone, making her more of a private person. Somewhat a paranoid person in general; she always has the feeling that people will judge everything she does or say. If she's happy or has a good news to tell, she actually think over a thousand times before telling to the world, because she's scared that people will say she's bragging. ; Mia was born prematurely, 2 months earlier than her supposed birth date which, explains why she’s shorter than her sisters. She also falls sick easily when she was younger. Due to this matter, her parents worried about her the most; they never let Mia outdoor too much or let her do activities that they thought would be too strenuous too her. As a toddler she never complained; she preferred hanging around her sister Jessica anyway; playing dolls, dress ups and made believe.

It was until pre-school that Mia profound her love for dancing. At a spring festival when she was 4, her class were assigned to perform a dance performance. Her teacher thought that she shone the brightest; being the only asian kid in the class and danced/picked up instructions pretty well for a 4-year old, Mia was placed at the front line. Her parents objected at first, but her teacher assured them it was a simple twist dance and won’t harm a kid. Her parents were quite persistent, but then Mia begged that she really, really wanted to be a part of it because everyone in her class was involved. They finally complied. Since then, Mia joined every play and dance performance held by her school.

When she was 9, her family went back to Korea for a vacation where she and her sisters were scouted by SME. Her parents turned down the offer, stating that they were too young, but afterwards they agreed on letting Jessica and Krystal after a few years, but not Mia. She got angry and questioned her parents why, she even throw a tantrum but her parents won’t oblige to her again. However, being too attached to her older sister, and even Jessica didn’t want to go if Mia’s not going, her parents let her go to classes but only to watch, not to join in.

It was no point since no one else was allowed during classes, thus Mia loved wandering around the building while waiting for Jessica to finish. That was when she stumbled upon Boa’s practice room. She was mesmerized by the young singer, and since then every time she followed her sister to classes she’ll sneak up to watch Boa and copying her dance moves. She was caught after a week by one of Boa’s trainers while she was trying the dance moves behind the window. The trainer kindly asked for her name and what she’s doing here, but seeing Mia’s too afraid to speak up he just ushered Mia to join for practice. She contemplated at first, but the trainer jokingly said either that or he’d tell her parents, thus she joined. That was the first time she met Boa, where the singer was also surprised at how the younger kid followed her every move without missing a step. Seeing how much potential Mia had, the trainer personally asked the Jungs whether Mia can join as a trainee. It took some time for the Jungs to agree but finally they did, letting Mia attend the classes 2 months later.

Although Krystal is the bratty baby of the family, and sometimes annoying to Mia and she too scolded her a lot, Krystal couldn’t hate her for too long.)

( Kim Jonghyun | 22 | shinee's lead vocals | Jonghyun is well known to be close with the Jung sisters, but he's the closest to Mia as they are the same age. They first met a week after Jonghyun became a trainee, where they were assigned to do a duet together by their vocal teacher. At first they were a bit shy around each other but they grow closer after learning that they both share the same taste in music. He's a bit obnoxious and annoying at times, and most of the time Mia can't stand him but somehow their personality and interests clicked too much they somehow can't escape each other. Before you know it people started calling them 'twins', even Jessica and Krystal. They are more platonic than romantic though, Jonghyun takes the role of Mia's older brother (although technically he's 2 months younger than her), he loves to and drives her up the wall but Jonghyun is one of the few people that Mia can open up to, and Jonghyun cares about her a lot.)

It was when they discovered that Onew was older they felt guilty and confessed that they weren’t actually twins. Onew wasn’t mad but was surprised; and even more surprised when he learned that Mia was Jessica’s and Krystal’s sister. He said that ‘you don’t look like them’ and Mia misunderstood the statement, as people always say that her sisters were way prettier than her and she's the ugly sister, and that’s why they were already planned to debut in a girl group and not her. He didn’t mean that way; of course, he just literally meant it as he thought that the Jung sisters don’t actually resemble each other much (he did thought Krystal was Yoona’s sister, like everyone else). He panicked when he saw Mia’s face turned red and stormed away. Jonghyun tried to calm Onew and assure that she’d be fine but when Mia didn’t even look at him days after, he regretted on even living; as Mia and Jonghyun were the only friends he could make after a week. Jonghyun suggested on flowers but Onew kindly turned down the idea, when he remembered the last time he dealt with flowers he had band aids all over his fingers. He got her out unintentionally, however, when during one of their vocal lessons Onew was asked to play the piano while singing. Mia always had a thing with ballads and soothing voices, but she still didn’t talk to Onew; not that she’s still mad but she was feeling... ‘things’ that she wanted to deny. Onew still tried talking to her and greeted her time to time but Mia never stayed around for too long. It was when Mia got a boyfriend she started to talk to Onew normally again; believing that she’s not having any ‘weird feelings’ for Onew, which she learned, much later, that hadn’t actually gone since.

; Onew likes Mia, a lot, especially when he watches her being passionate on dancing and singing her heart out. He loves her determination to continue although she’s been a trainee for far too long now. He sees her as a friend, a good friend who always gives unlimited cheers and support for him and his band members. But he realized that his feelings weren’t as platonic as he thought it might be when he asked Jonghyun who ‘Juliette’ was, and Jonghyun just gave him this playful smirk that made him blurted out ‘Sooae?’ at which, Jonghyun didn’t properly responded but laughed out loud, saying he’s being ridiculous. He felt jealous, but didn’t show it. At first he just felt silly and stupid for having thoughts like ‘liking Mia’ and ‘so what if Jonghyun likes her anyway’ but from time to time whenever Mia’s around the feeling became stronger. Especially when he felt that Mia was sending off signals too. But he never had the courage to ask Mia out, or even talk about it, as he’s always intimidated by Jonghyun’s close relationship with Mia. Onew and Mia are close, really close for sure to late night text messaging each other and whenever; it was obvious to everyone. But Onew never had the guts to take the relationship a step further; afraid to ruin his friendship with both Jonghyun and Mia, and their relationship with each other too.
