about foreigners messing around not their country

LOL title. obviously foreigners  means someone/some people who are not from the country they are currently at but are visiting or just temporarily living. or something.. anyway...

there's just this news here - Papua New Guinean mauled by SWAT. CHR (Commission of Human Rights) says violation of human rights were made by SWAT.

haeki says: serves him right!

DON'T JUDGE ME JUST YET. I AIN'T being racist or anything but [insert title here]... basically this PNG (shortcut coz tiresome) and his fellowmen who came here to study are actually getting themselves drunk for countless times and what happens next because it's part of their culture and more please search it for yourself if curious, got this from the news too the seemingly merry recreational activity of drinking is escalated and they end up making a scene almost chaotic in contrast as to how people are peacefully living around them - they fight with each other. they make noise. and had somehow sometimes become a threat to the public.

fast forward to the scene where SWAT came. tried to talk peacefully. PNG still not sober. PNG had somehow hit an innocent taxi driver. the ending - PNG finally surrendered, got down almost to lay to the ground but got himself hit by the nape by the SWAT member.

¬_¬ okay... so the SWAT went overboard. so as the host country we are somewhat responsible for their safety. so PNG has a right to file a case against the SWAT, guess what the public can too. oh my gerd, he's a GUEST to the COUNTRY he doesn't have any right to any misconduct, he has right to enjoy and have fun but not hurt the people around - physically, mentally, emotionally. so what if that's how they are in their country. THIS. IS. NOT. THEIR. COUNTRY. it's also their effin responsibilty to do good and be good. come on, with what he did  people will generalize. i know, because my batch had been in that position because of one student's mistake.

i'm not just talking about him. basically, whatever one does as what his fellow PNG that was interviewed days after that incident about his opinion (and thank you for it) he says: "it's frustrating. and an embarrassment". they left their country because it was difficult to live in, now someone's making it difficult for them here too.

i kinda feel disappointed and embarrassed and frustrated whenever bad things are associated towards my kind. but facts first before spewing and ranting random stuff. okay so lemme say one thing i dislike to be fair...

Filipinos are hospitable people. agree? yeah, i agree but sometimes they, i mean, we are more hospitable to foreigners or tourist and not to our own people. I go to a korean restaurant (with filipino workers) i asked for a waiter. a korean comes in, he gets attended to first, i have to wave constantly. BUT that may not happen all the time. again, because of a certain incident there's the tendency to generalize.

in conclusion: so it's sad. and by watching the news i get irritated at both filipino and foreigner. anyway, i think we should remember where we are. and even though i don't care what people say. i am what i am. i do what i wanna do maybe your way of thinking but then when it hits the papers or the small screen. what you are in general is what most people will know. though they'd have opinion about you but their opinion about others will also change.
