background: Born the only child of wealthy restauranteers, she was given everything that she ever wanted. However, rather than basking in the attention like other children would, she shrunk back and grew withdrawn. Her family would get frustrated by her lack of sociability and send her to many classes or tutoring sessions after school so that she may interact with other children, but they were all in vain, as the more they pushed her, the more Jaekyung kept to herself. 
This happened all through her elementary school years and Jaekyung was found to have no friends. She's never exchange emails with anyone, never been invited to a birthday party, or even shared her lunch with anyone. But one day during the summer before her first year of middle school, she discovers the world of the internet. On there, she hesitantly creates a blog (because she's heard of a lot of bad things that happen if you reveal personal information on the net) and starts to post things that happen to herself - what she did today, a picture of a flower she found was pretty on a walk. She slowly finds friends and creates a small community on the web and she finally believes that she's found somewhere where she could be herself and not be so shy. She also finds that there is one person of the community that's similar in age as her and they become even closer. There is not one day when they do not talk. Jaekyung knows that this person may as well be some fifty year old lying to her, but she doesn't care because they were her first friend.
By the time her second year of high school ended, Jaekyung's parents decided to move her to a different high school, still desperate to make their daughter into a more outgoing personality. Jaekyung meekly follows, but imagine her surprise when she finds out that her best friend online is at the same school. But she doesn't know who they look like or even if they were a girl, but she finds herself excited to go to school for the first time. 
Maybe things will be different this year. 

personality: Jaekyung is a soft-spoken girl who never really can express what she feels or what she wants to say. Due to her blood type A personality, add cautious, sensitive, and meticulous to the list. She's a straight-arrow or a girl, always following the rules and working the hardest. At her best, she is agreeable and supportive, but at her worst, she can be spineless and meek. However when she is talking with her online friends, all the shyness disappears and what's left is a bright girl who is curious about everything around her and wants to know everything. Her head is full of questions she wants answers to. Everytime she thinks of one throughout the day, she writes it in a small notebook she always keeps with her and looks the answer up when she gets home. Because of this, she knows a plethora of random facts and information. So many of her online friends are overwhelmed (she obviously can't spill all of this to people she knows in real life because first of all, one has to talk in order to do that). She has really good memory and does exceptionally well in school.
The pen is mighter than the sword - or mouth in Jaekyung's case. Despite her attempts to make conversation with others, there is never just one time when she messes things up. Whether it be talking too softly, or talking too fast for the other person to catch it. Not to mention always turning into a tomato every time she opens . It's the fear of messing up or fumbling that makes Jaekyung stutter when introducing herself. However, her fingers have no problem typing out what she wants to say, or her pen cranking out an essay. Writing essays? A piece of cake. Jaekyung would get full marks easily, but ask her to read her essay out loud to the class... well, that's a different story. 
Despite her lack of social interaction, Jaekyung really likes to help others. She likes to feel like she can help someone, despite her shyness. She is the person who hands over all their money to the beggar on the side of the freeway just because his sign said "hungry. anything helps." Call her a er, but if there is someone in need, Jaekyung will do anything she can to help. Unfortunately, this makes her get taken advantage of most of the time.
She volunteers regularly, partially because she likes helping people and partially because she wants to get over her shyness. She likes to go volunteer at the orphanage the best because she loves children and they're easier for her to talk to. Plus, they're the only ones who really appreciate her vast knowledge of random facts, she fears.
Jaekyung can't stand for injustice, and while she can't confront it yet, she does her best to comfort the victim. This is another reason why she wants to grow a spine. To stand up for those who are helpless.

Sulli isn't a mean person. She just doesn't like it when there are people who are better than her and she knows how to use those people to her advantage. | Sulli knows how much of a pushover Jaekyung could be and is more than happy to take advantage of that. She always pairs up with Jaekyung during group projects and makes excuses not to do the work so that Jaekyung could do it. And Jaekyung is too spineless to say no or to stand up to her. This is a classic case of bullying.

his personality: Jongup is a quirky boy who is popular for his bright smile, friendly demeanor, and easy-going personality. He's not the smartest student book-wise, but he is very intuitive of what others are feeling and is very observant despite how clueless he looks. He is sort of a pushover and has times when he gets taken advantage of because he's so nice, but he won't stand for any injustice. If any of his loved ones gets hurt, he won't stand by and do nothing. He wouldn't be afraid to confront the person who made his friend cry. Behind that smiling face lies a sharp, witty mind that can crank out strange answers that no one expects. He is mischievous and likes to play around, but really buckles down when there's work to be done. 
All he wants to do is dance his life away. 

relationship: Jongup is none other than daljjong, Jaekyung's closest online friend. They first officially meet on the first day of school, where Jongup promised Jaekyung that he would wait for her to show her around. Jongup was definitely not what Jaekyung had in mind when she imagined him. She imagined a geeky-looking boy with large glasses (he told her that he had really bad vision online) so imagine her surprise when a sporty guy with dyed hair and pierced ears was waiting for her. Jaekyung awkwardly talks to him, but Jongup doesn't mind, because he knows who Jaekyung really is online. He's always eager to show her to his friends, but she's too shy to and declines everytime. He's secretly glad that Jaekyung doesn't show who she really is to other people though. He thinks it's cute.
He's always intrigued by her random thoughts and things she does and now that he can put a face to the username, his affection for her grows.
Their online friendship started when they were in their first year of high school. Jaekyung posted something about wanting to see a dance competition at a nearby school and Jongup commented, saying that he was in the show. Unfortunately, they weren't able to meet, but they started talking more after and pretty soon, they were talking daily through messages or texts.

his personality: A quiet guy who likes to hang around in the back and observe the classroom. But he's popular nonetheless and everyone knows him for his great singing voice. But everyone treats him the same and he gets bored. He's studious and continuously makes the highest marks in his class, but he gets bored of that as well. He just wants to sing for the rest of his life, but his parents want to send him to law school.
