How could I say it?
There are a lot of idols who cried during their concerts and I got it. They went through a lot and standing there, surrounded by their fans, singing from the heart, it's worth to cry for.
Then why do I put this video on a blog post?
Simply because it's heartbreaking for me.
Yes, I am touched by their tears. To see Eunhyuk, Yoseob, Gikwang, or my biases to shed tears is really heartbreaking but this is the most heartbreaking for me.
If they cry uncontrollably because they can't hold back the tears anymore, I'll be fine.
If they cry but keep singing with the trembling voice, I'll still be fine.
If they cry while wiping their tears away, I'll still be just fine.
But Onew...
I don't know but I never saw an idol who cried on the stage like him before.
Whenever he felt like tears were going to roll down, he would turn around and wiped his tears. After that he would face his fans again with a smile on his face.
As if he didn't want the fans to worry. As if he wanted to show that he would smile for them. As if everything would be alright.
At the first time, what I had mind is only: "Ah, Onew is a strong leader."
When I watched the first fancam below, during 0:44 - 1:15 and 2:04 - 2:20, my thought is not that simple anymore.
For me, a person who can hide his tears with a smile is the strongest person.
Trust me. I've been there and it's really, really difficult. You heart is breaking inside yet you keep forcing a smile to let the world think you're alright.
The moment during 2:40 - 2:50 really made me thought that Onew is really a great person.
I don't see him as an idol at the moment. Just a man who holds everything inside for himself, so everyone else will be happy.
Humble. Brave. Optimist. Responsible.
