Personality:

►Airi is sometimes seen as an umma type, though she is more commonly refered to as a 'cool' type. She does take care of people and help them out when she can like an umma would, but she does it with a calm, emotionless, unreadable face. For example, if a fellow Northwest student was facing off with another student from another branch, she would immediately swoop in to help them. However, her face would betray no emotion whatsoever. She would remain straightfaced and calm no matter what. This is why she is known as a 'cool' type. She never loses her cool, she never cries, and she never smiles. The closest you'll get to a smile with Airi is a small lopsided smirk, and even that is incredibly rare. As far as her umma side goes, she'll be there for anyone who's in a fight or who has been injured and she often betrays a caring, kind demeanor. She seems to be a very kind, warmhearted person despite her cold, emotiononless appearance. She often dotes over her younger friends and, though she never does it to the point of being annoying, she worries over everyone. A lot of younger girls, and even some girls her own age, look up to her as a role model and some of the smaller kids at the school have even taken to calling her "umma". Airi never betrays that she's pleased by this, but she always answers to the name.

►Overall, on the outside Airi seems like a kind person with an easily misunderstood cold appearance. Thanks to this reputation most people trust Airi. They not only go to her for advice, but they share their secrets with her. Most of the students would trust Airi with their life. This uttmost trust is what Airi wants from the other students. It means she can manipulate them to her will. If people trust her entirely, they'll believe just about anything she says. This means they'll take her bull explainations for why she asks them to do tasks that could easily be seen as evil. Since they tust her whole heartedly, they simply take what she tells them as true making it unbelievably easy to manipulate them to do whatever she wants whether it be stealing someone's shoes or killing the principal. She simply makes up a lie that is somewhat believable as to why it is necessary, and boom, whoever she asked to do the deed with do it without hesitation (usually). Airi is incredible at creating these lies. She can weave a web of lies so complex and believable, she can get just about anyone to believe her. Of course, this comes in a lot of handy when manipulating people, and it also comes in handy when she's making up excuses for her actions. Lying comes easily to Airi. Like breathing. It's just something natural that she's always been able to do. And she does it well. Though much practice and experience, Airi has become the world's best liar.

►Despite her seeming kind, caring demeanor, she's actually extremely greedy and selfish. She thinks that the world revolves around her and that she deserves to get whatever she wants whenever she wants. And she wants a lot. She thinks that everyone else in the world are simply her pawns in order for her to obtain what she wants whether it be a new coat or total domination of the school (which she has considered). Underneath that calm, collected face lies an arrogant, greedy, stuck-up .

►Airi doesn't talk a lot. Some people say it's because she's shy. Others say that she just isn't the talking type. The truth is neither. The truth is that Airi finds the pestering questions and the pointless conversations people try to start annoying. So she simply ignores them. She often simply walks away from people trying to talk to her or she gives them a one sentence answer. Sometimes she'll just say "I'm not in the mood," or "Some other time," in order to keep up her kind reputation, but in truth she simply finds them annoying. She thinks that she's too good to talk to mere pawns like the other students. This usually isn't a problem though, because Airi is as sneaky and elusive as the wind. If she doesn't want to be found, she won't be, so there's usually no problem when she doesn't want to be around other people. She usually only talks when she has to in order to keep up her kind persona.

►As a general summary, she acts like she cares about people, but with a calm, cool face that never betrays emotion while behind it all she's manipulating everyone for her own selfish reasons.

❝The Reason I Became A Witch ❞

History:

Airi wasn't born with her powers. Well, she was, but they weren't nearly strong enough to be used. All that ever happened was an occassional patch of air seeming thinner than normal. That is, until her 9^th birthday. On her 9^th birthday, everything changed. It seemed like a normal birthday. There was cake with 9 candles and all of her relatives had come over to celebrate. Airi (or Minoshi, as she was called at the time) was having a great time, and she was especially looking forward to the special tradition. You see, in Airi's family there was a tradition that on a child's 9^th birthday they were able to take the pill. (No this is not drugs, if that's what your thinking. I kinda made it up, but considering that it's set in a modern world I figured there would be something like this there). The pill is called Relidate. It's purpose: to relax people. It's especially common among adults under a lot of stress, and Airi's parents had plenty of that. Airi had always wanted to try one, but her parents wouldn't let her for health reasons. Now, on her 9^th birthday, she was finally going to be able to. It was later in the evening when she finally took the pill and she was literally bouncing out of her seat in anticipation. She took the pill after a few failed attempts (it's hard to swallow when you're smiling from ear to ear) and almost immediately felt it's affects. All of her muscles seemed to relax and her mind cleared in a soothing, relaxing warmth. Airi closed her eyes and felt the warmth spread throughout her body releasing and relaxing every muscle. It was the screams that broke her revere. Airi's eyes shot open at the sound of her family screaming in terror to find a huge black hole gaping open in the middle of the living room. Through the hole, it looked like zombies were walking toward the opening as if they were trying to climb through the gap. Airi's screams joined her family's, but unlike them she didn't jump up and run out of the door. Something seemed familiar about this strange hole. It didn't terrify her as much as it surprised her. Somehow, she instinctively knew that this hole was created by her. With magic. She tightened her muscles and forced the hole shut with her will power. When it was closed, she felt something in her chest that she hadn't felt before. It felt like a small weight had been placed in her chest. She experimented and relaxed the grip she held on the weight and the hole reappeared. (This is explained more under 'additional details' under 'the endless war scene') Closing it again, she got up to find her relatives. Many had run out the door and away from the house never to go near it again, but her mother and father were cowering in the kitchen. When Airi walked in they jumped up to hug her to them, but upon explaination of how it was she who opened the gap, her parents went rigid. They backed away in fear and began to cry. That was when Airi realized her brother, Aidan, was no where to be seen. When she asked, she was told that the hole had opened right behind him and upon everyone's screams, he had stepped backward through the hole and vanished. Airi was devistated. She had been close to her brother, and it was she that had killed him. For the next year, Airi's parents wouldn't go anywhere near her. They were afraid of their own daughter. They almost never talked to her, they always left the house when she was home, and they told everyone that they didn't have any kids and that Airi was simply an exchange student that would be leaving soon. This on top of the fact that she killed her own brother sent her plummeting into the world of deceit, cruelty, and selfishness that she now inhabits.

(I'm sorry if this is a bit of a sob story, but everyone like Airi is that way for a reason and that reason is usually due to a hard past, so I thought that this was a somewhat realistic way to make her personality make sense. Sorry if it was overdramatic. If you really hate it, tell me and I can try and think of something else.)

Childhood:

Airi grew up in the city living in a reasonably sized apartment with her mom, dad, and older brother. They weren't rich, but they weren't poor. Airi's parents worked hard for their living and weren't home often, but the siblings managed well. The family was close despite the parents' busy schedules, especially Airi and Aidan. They did everything together from homework to shopping to playing video games. Back then, Airi was as bubbly as anyone and Aidan loved his adorable little sister. He cared for her and protected her always and Airi helped him with anything he needed. The family liked to spend their Sundays together since it was the one day the parents had off of work, and they often went for picnics in the park or to a movie together. Life was good for the Rizukas and everyone was rather content with life. Until the incident.

He was almost always smiling, even when he wasn't happy, in order to make others smile. He believed whole-heartedly in the quote "Happiness is like jam. You can't spread even a little without getting some on yourself." || He died at Airi's hand and she has never forgiven herself for that.

❝Black And White, Stil North And South - The Endless War Scene ❞

Power: Major - Air deletion || Minor - Air Slicer

Techniques:

Air deletion is exactly what it sounds like. Airi is able to remove air from a certain area. She only has one technique using this power, but its extremely potent:

Suffocate || Air Deletion || She can remove the air from the area around a person or animal causing them to be unable to breath. || The flaws are that she can only use it on one area at a time and that there is a very short time frame between when it knocks the person out and when it fatally injures their lungs. Due to this, there is a high risk that she could kill someone unintentionally with this technique. || 9

Air Slicer, on the other hand, is nothing like it sounds like. You may think that she sends blades of air out from her weapon or that she slices through the air cutting a person in half, but that's not even close. Air Slicer allows Airi to cut an extremely fine cut in the air which opens a hole to the underworld. As you can imagine, this is extremely dangerous. Airi doesn't have a specific technique to go along with this power, she simply has to open a hole behind her enemy and kick them through and walla, they're dead. Of course, this power can only be used in mortal combat, cause there's no coming back from that pit. Now you might be wondering: can anything get out of that hole? The answer is unknown. Airi has been forbidden from practicing this technique and is only permitted to perform it in the most dire and desperate of circumstances. However, since she was unable to practice and refine this power, she has very limited control of it. She can't control it's size or the exact spot it opens up in making it even more dangerous. In addition, once the portal is open, it's sometimes dificult for her to close it again.

* Side Effects:

Suffocate || Her voice is raspy for the next hour. If she used it twice in a row, it'll be raspy for two hours. Three times = three hours, and so on.

Weapon:

Left wheel = Baohu (Chinese word for protect) Right wheel = Gongji (Chinese word for attack) || They are wind wheels. As in the picture above, they are two metal circles (one for each hand) with a grip and multiple curving spike-like extensions coming off of the circle. These spikes are extremely sharp and are bladed on both sides of each extension. || 9 - since her powers are hard to control and potentially dangerous, she usually fights with her weapons meaning that she has a lot of practice and experience weilding them.

* Additional Details: Air Deletion is something that Airi has to will to happen, but Air Slicer on the other hand is more dangerous. Air Slicer is always there within her and instead of calling upon it when she needs it, she has to restrain it when she doesn't need it. Then, when she does need to use it, she simply lets go of her grip on it. This is dangerous because, if she lets her mind relax too much, she'll unintentionally let her power lose and possibly kill someone without meaning to. Maybe even a loved one....

Training Time: She was enrolled when she was 10 and has been there for the past 8 years.

Enrollment:

Her parents had been looking for a way to dispose of her ever since the incident at her 9^th birthday party. They finally discovered this school and wasted no time in shipping her off.

School Life:

School was pretty easy for Airi. She didn't have many friends, but she didn't mind. Plus, she had plenty of followers. People have looked up to her as a role model from the time she was 14 thanks to her facade. She was usually sitting alone, but plenty of people couldn't help their eyes from wandering to her and staring at her in awe or envy.

She doesn't usually fight and she does well in classes though she occassionally skips. She likes to maintain her cool image by breaking the rules sometimes, but she also likes to maintain a bit of a good girl image so that people trust her. She fights a lot when people need her help, but other than that she tends to avoid fights. Of course, if she's challenged she won't back down, but she isn't usually the antagonizer.

Note: I filled this section out, but I'd be okay with not having a love interest if you can't fit him into the story well. So basically, it's up to you whether or not she has a love interest. I don't mind either way =D

The One:

Personality:

He is evil. Though not in a true villian type of way. Sure, he summons and aids monsters in attacking students from the academy and fulfilling the devil's wishes, but he's almost... playful. He smirks a lot and is extremely graceful in everything he does. He is skilled with a blade and has used it to kill, but he carries around the greivances of those killings always. He likes to tease his victims (though none as much as Airi) and whenever you're fighting him it almost doesn't seem like a serious fight. It almost seems like a game or a spar between old friends. This disarms his apponents and makes them easier to fight, but this is not his strategy, it's just who he is.

Behind the killing yet playful exterior, he can be very serious when the situation calls for it. He can change his mood from playful to serious in the blink of an eye and often does this after he strikes down an enemy. Once the enemy is dead, he puts on a straight face and says a prayer for them. Then he delivers them to the school in order to be burried properly. He is respectful despite his carefree fighting attitude.

Interactions:

They fight each other since they are on opposing sides, but at the same time they flirt and tease each other a bit while they fight. Both have had the chance to kill the other, but neither has taken it due to their indescribable feelings.

Ending: I think that a tragic ending for my character would be interesting... and she might deserve it... As for the story in general, I think it should be a mixture... like there are some happy things to the end and some sad things.
