Personality: 

The first impression most would get when they see her is sweet and gentle. With a smile plastered on her face, some may find her elegant instead. Others might think of her as polite with her good manners. At the first few meetings with strangers, she doesn’t immediately think of them as a friend. Being the type of person who takes years before accepting someone as a friend, she is very awkward and timid around those she doesn’t know. In her eyes, acquaintances are those she has met several times but is still quite uncomfortable with them. This associate status applies to majority. Currently, she is trying to get rid of the habitual nervousness around strangers ever since she was to debut in a group.

The second obvious adjective to describe Jin Ae is random. A conversation about food might be going on, and she’ll just suddenly say ‘what is your blood type?’ These numerous random outbursts never fail to stun people, since it is a completely different topic. Actually, it is linked one way or another; at least it is to her. It is also possible for others to link such distinct topics, as long as you have a very 4-Dimensional way of thinking. She harbors very deep thoughts in that mind of hers. Accompanied with her sensitivity towards others’ feelings, she often thinks of the various consequences possible in situations. To sum it up, she is not really random. It’s because it is too complex and difficult for most to understand the link of topics and how she thinks.

Another people-pleaser in the world here! Well, she isn’t really one. She’s leaning more towards the reason of maintaining peace and harmony than to make others feel satisfied when she conceals those genuine feelings of hers. Holding onto some good detective skills, she is the most observant one in her family. Whether something is good or bad, she notices it. Little details are hardly missed by her eagle-eyes. Family background and History: 

The parents are the bosses of the house, and also the most important and basic thing in a family with children. Through a blind date, the two met. Neither of them was willing to, both stubborn against marriage. Their belief in ‘love at first sight’ only came when they set their eyes on the other. Like magnets, they were attracted to each other. Instead of devising plots to get his/her blind date to despise themselves as usual, in their mind were just thoughts on the strange feelings they felt. Their stalker parents spied on them. A wide smirk--grin plastered on their faces seeing how the two her interacted. Due to each of their parents forcing them to go on numerous dates, the duo acquired time to know each other, understand the other. It was not long after they officially announced they were in a love relationship, had they tied the knot.

A beautiful baby boy came into the family after two years. He had often laughed, much more than wailing. The cheerful personality he has right now, had appeared since young. Another two years flashed by when their darling baby daughter was born. Her passion in playing was found ever since she first arrived at the place called ‘home’. Almost everyone spoiled the young female, giving her brother relief since he had found his relatives a bit annoying with all their cooing. He had excellently played out a good-older-brother role mostly whenever the crowd wasn’t near.

When the siblings progressed into school, her brother showed another characteristic of his. He became fond of teasing his sister, resulting in a small seed of dislike to grow in her. Jin Ae was getting really fed up with his glaring to whoever had hurt her, accident or not. After a few months of his behaviour, the sister and brother got into a fight.

Both of them could have had telepathy or something, as they had each given the other the silent treatment. Instead of teasing and annoyed comments, the house was overwhelmed with quietness. The decision to lend a helping hand in solving the problem finally came to their parents’ mind a few days later. The two adults talked to their kids; mother to daughter, father to son. Eventually, there was the same old chaos in the house again. Life went as peacefully as any household could have.

When Jin Ae turned 8, the whole family of four migrated to Singapore. Having heard of the no-natural-disaster and many available job posts at that country, the couple has listed it as one of their top 3 choices to move to after the father was given the sack. It was a whole new place for each of the family members. As expected, difficulty came with communication. There, the locals either spoke English, Malay, Chinese or one of the dialects. None of those languages had Jin Ae or her brother learned. Fortunately, they were able to talk to the locals with hand motions before they each learnt a language.

Due to this, the princess of the family had to learn English as part of her education. Taking the initiative to also learn Chinese, she got help from her Chinese-speaking friends. She was so thankful her friends had accepted her and were luckily able to understand her. She felt gratitude towards those acquaintances of hers whenever they helped correct her English and speak for her in public. The gratitude increased more as they spent more time together.

She had gained more friends as the years flew by. To her parents’ relief, she was able to cope with her studies and co-curricular activities. In her primary school (elementary school in South Korea), she joined Art Club. It was neither energy-consuming nor time-consuming. A good decision had been made. Her brother was accepted into his class as quickly as she was. Similar to his sister, he had managed to balance his life and school. He had taken up badminton, instead of basketball which he had loved equally. At the beginning, he struggled here and there. Though he got the hang of it and could play quite well after a quarter of a year’s of practice.

News arrived after spending 8 years in the tropical country. Her father’s company assigned him to one of their branches in South Korea. They had to move, once more. Her mother had resigned from her work a few days before they boarded the plane back to their birth country, and had firmly stated that she wasn’t going to go job-scouting any longer. In reality, Myungsoo and L are different. L does not talk or do much while on camera. Whereas, Myungsoo acts like an older brother off-cam. Myungsoo is the type of person who will get things done, and not leave it there half-completed. He is very determined and always tries his best, a trait found in little people. However, his best quality is diligence.

Trainee history: Back in South Korea, she was forced to participate in the SM Ent casting auditions. I mean, who can hold out against the nagging and persuasion of your family and the huge number of friends? There may be some who could, but Jin Ae was not one of them. Each and every one of them had approved of her singing talents being awesomely awesome. It was simply amazing, that voice of hers. Not even the judges could resist really feeling the song she had sung at the audition. Without any other hesitation, she was accepted; much to the glee and delight of her kin and friends.

Trainee experiences: Being an extremely emotional female, she holds the talent of being able to feel the music. This is gives a great advantage to her in dancing, and singing. She was considered a bit more special than the other trainees at that time by her trainers. Her body just moved to the beat of the song, her mind understanding and comprehending the feelings of the song. She shooed away all the compliments she received, always believing she could do much better. Some trainees were jealous of her, though they never really did anything horrible such as bullying. Comments and suggestions: I understand the need for such a long application form. I hope my character’s personality doesn’t bore you or seem like and a Mary-sue. I’m so sorry I failed in so many sections of this app; it was the first time I wrote so much.
