I made this post a while ago but I've never posted it. This was written way back when the song first came out and I was sitting in Panera Bread listening to the song and read the lyrics/translations.

I don't think I've ever been so touched by lyrics since "Earth Song" by the late, but everso great Michael Jackson. Exo's "MAMA" and the meaning of the lyrics has floored me. If I wasn't in public, I would be bawling my eyes out right now. For those of you that know me or have read previous blogs of nine, you know that "Earth Song" is one of my favorite songs of ALL TIME. The lyrics make me cry every single time. For those who know me, also know that I am a person who stands for justice. I feel so helpless right now, knowing there's nothing I can do to stop the spread of hate, the killing. My heart feels so heavy right now just thinking about it. But if there was a way I could, I wouldn't even think twice and I would just do what I could. I would die for what I believe in. The lyrics to these two songs just move me and make me want to try harder and just be a better person who spreads that love and peace that this world and it's people so desperately needs...has anyone else made that connection between the songs?
