My Long Rant~~

Alright as of late, I've been drawn into the oldies KPOP Idol groups like ShinHwa, H.O.T, SechsKies, and G.O.D. I've been watching anything and everything I could find of these groups. These groups aren't  newbies, they are the first generation KPOP groups. I know that some people would be like, 'why would you get intrested in groups that are old or broken up etc." Granted most of these groups are broken up and none of them are young anymore. These are the idol groups that inspired the groups I've grown to love, their the groups that my idols idolize and I've grown to idolize them also. I mean sure their music videos aren't expensive and aren't completly unique nor are they flashy but it's the simpleness of the videos that make you stop and think.

I don't mean to upset anyone, because till recently I was one of the ones complaining. I love E.L.Fs, and I am one myself, so I hope you fellow E.l.Fs can understand where I am coming from because I am not bashing anyone but I've noticed that a few of the fans have been complaining about the fact that SM has seem to neglect Super Junior *and I agree it does seem that way.* They have also said that SuJus MVs seem to be slacking, while other SM groups MVs are well thought out and very high budgeted *I agree with this also.* I get where their coming from I do but what does it matter the budget of the MV? Can't we just be happy we can see our idols? I mean it is ridiculous when you compare SuJu MVs with other SM artist MVs. I've been thinking as of lately KPOP seems to be more about flashy performances/MVs more then the music.

I know that no fan wants to see their idols company slacking when it comes to their idol, I understand but what real right do we have to complain? The idols themself don't complain about it and it's their effort that is going into this.

I don't mean to put down any of the newer groups by saying their not KPOP because their MVs are flashy or anything but in my opinion and maybe a few other older KPOP fans can understand and even some newbies fans, KPOP doesn't have that feel it use to have in the past, I mean sure their talented and everything but I personally got into KPOP because of the fact that the videos weren't flashy but still had that draw to them and the music was unique and diffrent from what I was use to. To add to it there are so many new groups debuting and everything, there are so many groups that it has gone over the top. I mean I have no intrest in getting out of KPOP or anything I'm just saying, I wish they'd slow it down with these new groups and give the ones that are out time to grow and mature, so they have the chance to grow to be great and legendary like the older generations because the way it going one group will shine for a short while and then a new group debuts then the spotlight goes to the other groups. At this point I am more intrest in Solo singers, then groups because of the fact their are so many.

P/S *Bows* sorry to anyone that this offends I meant no harm just wanted to release a rant and get it out. Thank you to anyone who read up to this point

Love,

Kisa <3

I completely understand the perspective that you are getting at because I understand that the old KPOP videos weren't as flashy as current KPOP videos ....

I read the whole thing ^.^ and I agree with you the point where you said ' The idols themself don't complain about it and it's their effort that is going into this.' I think that's true. But then if they did complain they'd probably hide it :(

Its not that Kpop ha gotten to the piont of how flashy your MV isbut its about the principle that the company is not paying enough attention to Super Junior. Granted SM has had a hand full with EXO but Super Junior is important as well and I think they should treat everyone the same. With EXO they spend alot of money for unnecessary teasers and a song that wasn't even their debut song same with the video. Yes simplicity is great but we are in a new generation of music and where people has to be the best so you have to think about it from that perspective. SM is a very biased and unwilling to be differentand I can't understand why most of my favorite idols are from that company. SM does know how to pick idols I give them that much credit.
Yes in older music the videos were simple and still drw people in and today it still does but not like it used to because of alot of the new equipment. I was not offended but it just seemed you had such a closed mind because of the old kpop songs.
