Personality:

Ling Xiaoyu is a very bubbly, energetic girl. She loves to have fun and she loves to laugh. She doesn't like being bored and will find the joy in simple things. She cherishes life and believes that since you only live once...why not make the best out of it? She is very spontaneous and bold. She doesn't mind jumping on top of the tables and being a little wild and crazy. She'll hula hoop in public, walk on her hands in public, and be loud and crazy in public. When she enters a room she announces, "Party's here!" There is never a dull moment whenever Xiaoyu is around others. She loves to have fun and she is quick to find something to get into. She is also a little prankster. She does things for the heck of it because she feels the need to laugh and smile. Her pranks aren't over the top...to her...but they do get her into a little trouble. She is also very much overdramatic to the point that it's a little...too much. If she trips and falls, she roll over countless times, twist her body in a weird way, hold her hair, and yelp uncontrollably because she "doesn't want to mess up her hair". She just does a little extra whenever something happens to her. She loves to laugh. Her laugh is very much husky and addictive and her friends have dubbed her "Laughs Like Hyena" because of it. She doesn't mind, though. Throughtout her life, she lives by one specific quote, "It's better to be looked over than overlooked." Going by this quote means that she doesn't mind being a little wild and crazy--people may think that she is weird, but so be it. They notice her and take time out of their busy schedules to say something about her. In the end, she doesn't even mind who says anything about her because they do not validate her life. She is also very much independent and strong. She knows how to control her emotions and hate giving off the aura that she is weak or cannot fulfill anything. That is why she works extremely hard so that she wouldn't be looked down upon.

Xiaoyu is very much a Choco-holic because of her fascination and love for chocolates--sweet, delicious, chocolates. She always has to have a stash on her because her chocolates is like her alcohol. She will share any and everything with her friends and those close to her EXCEPT her chocolates because...well...if she shares with one person, she'll have to share with everyone. And sharing chocolates is NOT something on her "to do" list. If asked for her chocolates, she will hold them close to her chest and yell, "NO, uh uh, no way! Not MY chocolates. Go and get your own!" then she will retreat to the nearest room and lock herself in to enjoy her sweets to herself.

Xiaoyu is definitely a little trouble-maker, too (as in, pranking people uncontrollably). She is always doing things for the heck of it and also just to get a reaction out of people. She is very sarcastic. Sometimes, she says things that offend others, but she does not mean it at all. She just has a weird sense of humor. She is also a fashionista. She loves bright, vibrant colors. She loves throwing pieces together just to make them work--she never repeats an outfit and she is very passionate about whatever it is that she is doing. She definitely has an attitude sometimes, but who doesn't? She has never held her tongue for anyone and when provoked, she can be a little dangerous. She usually fusses first then ask questions later. She is stubborn, too. If she does something that she knew was wrong, it usually takes awhile for her to apologize because she hates apologizing and looking weak. However, she is a kind hearted person and hates when others are upset with her--she just has her ways about her that makes her...Xiaoyu...

Overall, Xiaoyu is a very fun loving, free-spirited, energetic, dramatic, pranking, funny, strong, independent, choco-holic, Hyena-laughing wild child...and she loves it.

 

History/Background:

Ling Xiaoyu came from the traditional Chinese background. Once her mother moved from her Korean roots and found love in China, she wanted her daughter to really get a taste of the Chinese culture more because she loved the atmosphere and the civilization there. Her mother met and married her Chinese father and settled comfortably into the community. It was there, long after Xiaoyu was born, that her mother realized her husband's addiction to and heroine. For five long years he robbed her of her money to feed his addiction, never getting any better and plunging her into bankruptcy. After working hard and trying to gain her life back, she realized that moving to China had been a big mistake. She divorced Xiaoyu's father and moved back in with her mother's hoping to salvage her broken wallet and earn her self-respect back. She realized that she never should have depended on a man to provide and care for her when he could be ruining their life. After that, Xiaoyu's mother raised her to be an independent woman who went after the things that she wants in order to provide for herself without being held back and taken advantage of.

How she met Kwon Jiyong (aka G-Dragon)

It was sort of a funny story how the two of them met. Xiaoyu was actually in the schoolyard (in the training area to be exact) trying to perfect her craft. Being that she is very dedicated to something once she puts her mind to it (and also that she is a very fast learner) she wanted to make sure that she would have no problem casting the spells. Well, there she was--training very hard so that she could impress the headmasters, when she cast a HUGE spell, completely by accident by pronouncing it a little different. The spell released from her wand and it hit her target...which happened to be a cute guy who also decided to train at the training grounds (awkward...)

She immediately covered and ran over to him. He was laying on the ground with his eyes closed. She began to panic - she didn't know whether he was alright or not. She didn't mean to - but...well, she admired his facial features for a split second before she checked him pulse to make sure he was alright. He stirred awake and the first thing he said was, "I come to the training area and a cute girl attacks me with a spell? Nice," He sat up and laughed slightly. Then, he stared into her eyes, causing her breath to lock in . She tried to find the right words to say, but nothing came out. He then said, "Do you speak?" and all she could do was nod. He shook his head, wiped off his jeans (once he stood up), and told her that he'd see her around. His last words to her was, "I never forget a pretty face. See ya around!"

Once she was left alone, she cursed herself for not being careful but her thoughts soon took over... "He thinks I'm cute...?"

 

How she met Lee Hyuk-jae (aka Eunhyuk)

It was the first day that Xiaoyu would officially become a student at Hogwarts and she was extremely nervous. She packed her bags weeks in advance in anticipation about the school. Ah. When the day finally came for her to go to the school - well...she got lost at the station and didn't quite know where to go. She was terrified. She began panicking thinking that maybe she would be left and automatically expelled from the school for missing the first day. How could she be so careless?

While panicking and trying to find a way to the station entrance, she heard someone say, "Are you lost? Do you need any help?" She didn't know whether to respond or to just walk off. She wondered if she could tell him exactly what she was doing at the station and about her acceptance into...well...a school of wizardry. He saw the acceptance letter in her hand and the emblem of the school and smiled, saying, "You were accepted into Hogwarts? Are you lost? Come here, I'll show you where to go." He grabbed her hand (which was extremely soft) and led her to the gate that they both needed to be at. It didn't take long for the train to "magically appear" right in front of them. He smiled again, saying, "I'm glad I found you in time. You could have gotten left." Before they boarded the train, she asked if by chance he was going to be sitting with someone on the train and he told her no. He said, "We can sit together if you want." And she accepted. It turns out, though, that their seats were already assigned and he sat at the opposite end of the train. She waved goodbye to him, somewhat sad at the separation, but he said, "Don't worry--I'll be seeing you very soon". She smiled and her heart began to race. She sat at her seat and her thoughts drifted towards the guy--realizing that she forgot to ask him his name... (facepalm).
