Are You Serious? -_-

Okay: I was reading this rant story here on AFF, I won't give the name of the user...but good god if you want to rant, about how user's write keep it in a blog or something. I know everyone has the right to do this and I choose not to read anymore of it; but this user thinks flashbacks are irrelvant to a story, thinks all OC's are mary sues/gary stus, thinks people should update as fast as they can-we have lives outside of AFF you know.

Well I kind of have a life XD But back on topic here.

Why are people so mean about how certain author's write? I love reading fanfics that have OC's in them, I love reading fics that are self inserts I don't mind those because I write them myself, I enjoy reading fics that have flashbacks in them because sometimes flashbacks are nescessary for the story. Even succesful author's have flashbacks in their novel's duh!

If you don't like how a certain user rights; have a look at your own freakin writing instead of forcing your opinion's on other people. I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but you can give constructive criticism without being a total you know.

Fanfiction is just a hobby for many user's and you have to learn to accept that, for me it's just a hobby and a way to improve on my writing for original stories I work on also.

@TiaraL: Lol I don't know XD Yeah I'll ignore them ^^ They aren't worth our time, this stuff just pisses me off though a lot :/

@E_magine: I do also, it gives insight on why a character acts the way he/she does or gives more to the story. I've read real novel's that have flashbacks in them they don't bother me.

Nah you're good, I don't think you've ever complained over something like that ^^

tbh i think flashbacks are good because it helps give an idea of the past of the character and why they may feel/behave in a certain way as opposed to something else.

Yeah it's just the choice of the reader and writer to write it. I wonder if I'm guilty of complaining of such a thing O_o....

Agreed. I thought that was rude too when the user wrote that, in her rant. I have writer's block a LOT and I have a roleplaying account that I need to focus on too, so there will be times when I can't update my story quick enough.

That user updates her stories quite frequently; but she said she'll be on hiatus for awhile...hmmmm strange huh?

It's good to take a break from writing; it annoys me when I only get 'Update soon!' comments and not what the user likes about my story.

I try to take my time with writing now; and not rush into it like I used too :) It's definately not good for your health either if all you do is write you're correct about that 100 percent.

I agree with you, I don't think it's nice for someone to say we should update our stories sooner or faster.
We do have our own lives outside of AFF, sometimes we're too busy to update. If we overwork ourselves we can get sick, which will make it harder to update.
So, yeah, I agree with what you're saying :)
