Background:
Xiaoyu comes from a traditional Chinese background. She was born in Hong Kong, China when her mother met and fell in love with her father. She actually was conceived before her parents married, but she was born a week after their wedding. Her mother, at first, was ashamed that she had traveled to China with her friends only to fall in love and become pregnant there during the summer. She knew her mother would be ashamed of her and was thinking about whether or not to return to Korea. It was Xiaoyu's father that finally convinced her to actually stay with him and marry him because he was in love with her. And they married. A week later Xiaoyu was born. Even though their relationship was very much fast-paced, the relationship was a happy one and they raised Xiaoyu perfectly. Two years later, Xun was born. Their mother wanted them to know their Korean roots as well and taught them about the language, the culture, and the customs. Xiaoyu instantly fell in love with Korea and begged her mother to let her stay there. Her mother, after thinking long and hard about it, decided that Xiaoyu was old enough to finally go and be with her side of the family - as long as she took Xun with her as well. Xiaoyu agreed, telling her mother that she'd take care of her sister while in Korea. Her mother knew that she would and they packed right away. Once Xiaoyu settled in Korea with her aunt, uncle, cousin, and sister--they got the news that their mother was pregnant with another child--this time, a little boy. Every chance Xiaoyu got, she would visit her mother to spend time with her little brother and get to know him. Life for Xiaoyu is actually pretty sweet at the moment...

Personality:
Xiaoyu is a very charismatic and outspoken girl. She isn't afraid to say what is on her mind because she bites her tongue for no one. Because of her charismatic charm, she brings about a certain energy to her group of friends that generate an aura of maturity. She is true to herself. She sticks to what she believes in and never stray from what she feels is right. She loves to have fun. She is laughing all of the time - sometimes uncontrollably - but who doesn't like to laugh? She is wild and spontaneous, always doing things for the heck of it - just to have fun. She doesn't mind somewhat making a fool of herself. She'll jump ontop of a table and dance wildly if she feels like it. She is known as "Dances with Wolves" because of her risk taking abilities - never really shying from any challenge or backing down from any situation. She is the type to make a scene when she walks into the room and announce , "Party's here!" She is very loud. She is also dramatic. She adds a little "extra" to the things that happen to her. For example; most people would just trip and fall - plain and simple. They'll get up and brush themselves off and carry on about their business. But, not Xiaoyu. Nope. If she trips and falls she yelps, grabs her hair, and move her body in a weird way so that she won't mess up her hair during the fall. She'll roll over a few extra times just because. Even once while she and her cousin was cleaning up the house, she was talking and not paying attention to what she was doing and walked straight into an air freshener mist and she grabbed and fell to the ground like it was the end of her life...
Xiaoyu is also a prankster and jokester. She always has the urge to prank people around her to cause a reaction or to get a response out of someone. Her pranks aren't too extreme, to her, but she does get into some trouble with it. Even though she pranks a lot, she was always a very good student in school, maintaining an A average. But--teachers didn't hesitate to point her out whenever a prank happened. She just had this look about her that reaked "guilty". Sometimes Xiaoyu can be very annoying but at other times, she just wants her peace.
Overall, Xiaoyu is a funny, charismatic, energetic, spontaneous, bold, dramatic wild child.
