Personality:

SooYee is what most people would consider weird. She doesn't really speak to people and she is always seen alone - or with one of her best friends - but most of the time she enjoyes the solitude. It isn't easy for her to make friends because she is just socially awkward. She doesn't quite know how to approach others and when she does, she typically says the wrong thing--offending those around her. She doesn't mean it, though, because she is actually sweet and kind, once she gets used to being around someone and talking to them. She is so loving and compassionate--once someone gets to know her--that she was dubbed Soomance (a name given to her by her best friend). She has an obsession with romance dramas and mangas and has shaped her own ideal guy from them. She believes that one day, Mr. Right will sweep her off of her feet.

SooYee might be quiet and calm, but she does has an unknown temper. If provoked, she isn't afraid to have a verbal argument and even get physical if she has to. But, knowing herself and how angry she can get, she usually sticks to herself. She knows that she has to open up in order to have friends and meet others, but, she is just too socially awkward and quiet that she has a hard time. She is definitely a mystery...

 

History:

SooYee was born in Seoul, Korea but she doesn't even know who her parents are. She was immediately placed in foster care because her mother had birthed her, then casually left the hospital as though nothing had happened. In the orphanage, because of the low ratio of workers to children, she was often ignored or uncared for because of the attention - needy children there. She soon picked up the quiet, mysterious vibe and became a loner. Never once did she question her situation - she just dealt with it...She never even had any intention of being adopted - she believed that because she was the silent one, uninvolved, mysterious one, she wouldn't be allowed to be cared for. She was wrong. One day, visitors came to the orphanage and immediately took a liking to the quiet girl reading a book on the swing. They immediately adopted her.

In the Kwon household, they tried to get her to open up and realize that she was capable of being loved, but it was hard for her to immediately change who she was because of the new environment. She slowly developed into a sweet, caring girl, but she remained quiet and a mystery to her "parents". They were patient with her and knew the situation at the orphanage and hoped that one day she'd completely trust and love them as her parents...

-She is very awkward and is easily embarrassed (one time, she was walking down the stairs and her sandals broke, and she fell all the way down with a loud thud. Before she could react, some cute guys started walking  by and the only thing she thought to say was, "Hurry up and take the picture, I'm not going to be sitting down all day!")

-One time, before going into the house, she tripped on the steps and scraped her knee (she was twelve at the time), she laid on the steps crying for ten minutes and no one came out to check on her. After awhile, she stopped crying and walked into the house while fussing, saying, "So everyone was in here but didn't hear me outside crying!? I'm going to my room!"

-She is very weird and so socially awkward that once, she tried to act bold. She was walking around a department store and picked up a baby doll. She carried it around and ran up to strangers saying, "Are you my baby daddy ?! I need to find my baby daddy !"

-On a trip to the pool one day, she accidentally drifted towards the deep end and was drowning. Instead of helping her right away, her father laughed and recorded her splashing around. Then, he reached down, grabbed her arm, and pulled her up. She was so angry she did not get back into the pool for the rest of the time and sat on the bench with her arms crossed, mad at the world.

Describe their relationship: SooYee and Ah Min are very close. Ah Min brings out the best in SooYee as she tries to push her to strive to be a little more social. She encourages Ah Min to be a little more bold and outgoing. She sees the silliness that SooYee has and her querkiness and she loves it, she just wishes that SooYee was a little more bold. They are always laughing and joking with one another.

Why are they rivals?: She apparently dislikes SooYee and believes that she is an easy target to mess with, since she is so quiet and easy to pick on. SooYee tries to ignore her, but, she just doesn't leave her alone! She is selfish to those around her, friends and family alike. She doesn't care who she bosses around or bad-mouth. She is completely arrogant and annoying.

SooYee is very awkward around him, but she is typically around TaeYang most of the time. Since she is the adoptive cousin of Kwon Jiyong (G-Dragon) and since they are close, she is mostly at their rehearsals and showcases. SooYee secretly has a crush on Taeyang, but she is afraid to admit it to him for fear of rejection. She is an awkward girl and he can definitely have anyone that he wants. Regardless of his fame, he is sweet and caring to her, making sure that she is alright and typically tries to get her out of her shell. He admits that she is a little quiet, but, she is beautiful and he likes being around her.
