History:

Qiao came from a Chinese-based background. Her mother is Korean but met her husband (Qiao's father) in China. She was only there on vacation with her friends for a few weeks, but a romance blossomed between the two and in no time her mother conceived her. Her mother felt shamed at first because she was unmarried and pregnant, but Qiao's father assured her that he'd marry her if it meant he could be with her always. So, they got married and settled in China where Qiao was raised. There, Qiao not only learned her Chinese culture, but her Korean culture as well. Her mother missed home and for the first time ever, she visited Korea with Qiao. Qiao fell in love with Korea and begged her mother to allow her to stay back with her cousin there. Her mother was reluctant at first, but, finally decided to allow her to stay. In Korea, Qiao found out about auditions to SM and decided to audition...

Once Qiao auditioned for SM, they immediately took a liking to her strong, girly vocals. They allowed her to train her voice under their label. Sure, trainee life was hard, but, at the same time, she enjoyed her time being there. She was normally the first one in the practice room and the last one out at night. She just had a passion to succeed and do what she loved best and that was to sing and dance. She didn't care how hard she worked--she felt sore afterwards, but, she always believed that it was well worth it. SM representatives told her, "Dao Qiao, you are a Diamond in the rough" and ever since that day, she has taken the stage name of Diamond.

 

Personality:

Qiao is really a spontaneous and adventurous girl. She isn't afraid to dive deep into a situation and figure out what is going on. She is very curious, but, at the same time, that could potentially be her downfall. She loves to laugh and smile and see the bright side of things. She doesn't like to sit in one spot when she could be exploring or revealing things around her. She is wild and crazy, always making jokes and getting others to release their negative energy. She loves making others smile--she feels as though her day has been made when those around her laugh and smile at her craziness. Qiao is definitely considered Spontaneous. She does things for the heck of it and believes that last minute planning is usually where the fun starts. She is bold and very much determined. She really doesn't care what others have to say about her because at the end of the day--their words mean nothing to her. She just shields out the negativity. Being the spontaneous one that she is, Qiao was once caught in a situation where she just had to be random. Her and her friends were at a department store and she carried a baby doll around saying, "Are you my babies father?! Please, I need to find my baby daddy! I don't know who my baby daddy is!" Her friends complimented her boldness and bravery because they admit that they would not have been able to do that for fear of being judged. Overall, Qiao is a very fun, passionate, determined, spontaneous, bold wild child and she loves it!

Eun Ji: Eun Ji was a sweet, lovable individual who was passionate about what she was doing. Qiao considered Eun Ji a friend--even a sister. Eun Ji was a role model to Qiao. Qiao had met her during trainee days and immediately knew that this girl would make it in the industry. Eun Ji was very caring and often encouraged Qiao in her endeavors. It pained Qiao when Eun Ji passed--however, she believed that Eun Ji was an angel, and it was time for her to return to her heavenly estate--she had done enough by blessing others with her presence and it was time for her to go home...

 

Crush/Boyfriend:

Ryeowook of Super Junior. He is very sweet to her and loving. He always has something sweet to say to her, complimenting her actions and words. He doesn't mind her wild side...he believes that she is expressing herself and showing her true self. He loves to laugh and joke around with her as well, regardless of his idol image. He is himself when he is around s and her... (unknown to her he has a crush on her too but cannot find the right moment to tell her).
