Kim SooYee had a very troubled past. In fact, her childhood was horrible. Her parents were rarely home, leaving her children in the care of others. They really weren't much of parents at all, not being around much or even making sure that their children were alright. They only cared about one thing, and that was working to make money. Whenever they were home, they wouldn't pay much attention to their two daughters, leaving them to care on their own. They often did take their frustration and anger out on the girls -- which was about the only interaction that they really had from their parents whenever they were around. This caused SooYee to be a little resentful to her parents and she began to realize that she couldn't rely on anyone but herself because her parents weren't around to protect her or her sister and whenever they did come around, they would blame them for any little thing that went wrong.

Kim SooYee used to be a sweet and innocent girl, always making sure that her little sister was provided for and trying to teach her right from wrong--a thing that her parents should have done. She was willing to do anything to make her parents and her caregivers happy, since they were "burdened" with SooYee and her sister's presence. She was very loving and giving. SooYee was a very smart student, always doing well in her studies to succeed in life. She had always wanted to do well so that whenever she moved out, she could take her little sister with her and give her a better life than what she had. However, that quickly changed when he came along......

When SooYee was about twelve years old - her sister was nine at the time - their parents hired a family friend named Kim Dae Go to watch over them. He was sweet and attentive at first, often being a father figure to both SooYee and her little sister. He was kind, always being there to listen to their problems and taking care of their needs. But, one night--it started after he spied on SooYee showering. He became interested in the young, pure little girl. He pushed himself on her, her, taking her ity at such a young age--telling her that if she told anyone, he'd kill her little sister.

SooYee dealt with the abuse for years, up until she was about fifteen years old. He became interested in a new target--this time, it was her little sister. He tried to ease his way into her little sister's room one night, but SooYee was waiting for him. Her parents always had a gun in the house, for protection - just in case someone tried to rob them of their riches. She found the gun, and hid in the darkness of the shadows that night. He came in right on time and when he grabbed her sister, SooYee pulled the trigger with no hesitation, killing him and ending his reign of terror on her and almost her little sister.

Her parents found his body later that night and immediately questioned SooYee, accusing her of doing wrong from the beginning. She tried to tell them that he her constantly and had for many years, but they wouldn't listen, they wouldn't accept that. They didn't care when she told them he tried to her little sister. Instead, they called the police. When questioned, she went mute, not saying a thing. If her parents wouldn't believe her, then how could the cops - a role of authority much like her parents. They wouldn't believe her.

All of the years of trauma had finally taken its toll. She had given up all hope. They diagnosed her with an illness, saying that something was mentally wrong with her when her parents told the cops the story that SooYee had told them about, but they told the police that Dae Go was a good man and would never do that. As planned, they believed her parents and omitted her to the ward, where they believed that years in this place would do her justice...

Treatment: Never, but her parents wanted them to give SooYee as many pills as they can--they do not care about her or her condition...

Request for character: Possibly TaeYang from Big Bang. He could have a family member in the ward because of depression or something and hear about SooYee's "story" through a conversation he overheard some of the faculty talking about. He could take an interest in her and trying to help her out with speaking again and letting her story be known.
