SooYee is known to be a little TOO serious. She laughs, yes, but, when the joke is on her, that's when a problem surfaces. Some might say that she has no real sense of humor, but she will be quick to argue otherwise. Although she is terrible with humor (don't say that to her face) she is very much a sappy and loving individual. She loves watching romance dramas and have been known to shed a tear whenever a fluffy scene presents itself. SooYee is also somewhat known as a trouble maker in her family because of the fact that she always has to find a little something to get into. She just has to rebel a little, right?

Being that SooYee is the eldest daughter, she is expected to have a lot of responsibilty on her hands because her parents are always away on business and rarely has time to spend with their children. SooYee doesn't mind, though, she likes the solitude that it gives her. Being that her parents were away most of the time, it led her to be independent and it made her closer to her very annoying little sister.
SooYee's parents are very much against her ambition to become an idol, but SooYee does not understand why they are against it so much when they are never even around her to take interest in what SHE wants. They believe that they know what is best for her, but, that will not stop her from pursuing her dreams.
How where you discovered?:
SooYee was asked to sing at one of her parents' friends wedding and, at first, she declined because she was nervous singing in front of complete strangers, but, her parents told her that it would make THEM look good if she did so. Regardless of how she felt, she sung at the wedding. Little did she know that a SM representitive was a relative of her parents' friend. He asked her to train her voice under their label and she was reluctant at first, but agreed. She told her parents, who blew it off, but she said they could not control her future. They finally agreed, telling her that she was going through a phase. SooYee reminded them that it was THEM who wanted her to sing at the wedding in the first place, not her. She was 11 when she entered SM and she hasn't looked back ever since

Trainee background:
Being that she was so young, the SM company was a little hard on her, telling SooYee that she had to train harder in order to be accepted in the world. She did, and trained day and night to perfect her craft and get over her fear of singing in front of huge crowds. She realized that she loved to sing and that it was something that she really wanted to partake in. SM worked with her for seven years and they feel that she has really grown and changed over this time.
