Okay: I should warn you guys; that I'm not gonna be feeling well for a few days, my *friend* came for a visit today so I'm gonna be a little emotional lately you ladies know how that works ^^; I may rant a lot here, or I may not :shrug: Just fair warning before I begin okay? :3

Realisim in fanfiction.

Should there be such a thing? I can understand certain topics if they're based, on historical facts should be realistic but really...it's FAN FANFICTION. Fan's Fiction? Were not writing biography's or essay's for crying out loud! It's just stories.

Now I heard this one user ranting about certain gang fics on this site:

'People don't do enough research on gangs it seems. Gang's use guns when they fight, what idiot uses their fists?!'

*faceplam and shakes head*

Okay: I've seen this show on the History Channel before called 'Gangland' it's pretty interesting, talks about the Bloods, Kryps (however you pronounce it) and etc. Not all gang's use their guns in a fight; gang's use whatever they have, to kill or try to rob someone.

I know the Yakuza and gangs like that in Japan and countrie's like that, work differently then American gang members.

But when that user said 'What idiot uses their fists in a fight?'

Um well darling martial aritist's use their fists, when THEY fight. Do you consider them idiot's? Martial artist's use other things besides their fists though, like their legs, nunchakus, bo staff's etc if they wish or are in desperate need. I don't know a whole lot on martial arts or gang's here now; but I know that fists can be just as powerful as a gun can be.

You can actually KILL someone with your fists if you hit them hard enough.

You think all gang member's use guns? I don't think you did enough research in all honesty :/ I'm sorry if I sound rude, but I hate it when people say 'There's not enough realisim in gangster fics, highschool fics' blah blah blah! ><

And about living with idol fics.

Of course they're so un-realistic! Because we can't actually LIVE with our idol's XD That's why we have fanfiction people, we can't make that dream a reality so we just write it down instead.

If you have a problem with a featured fic like 'My Gangster Boyfriend' or whatever, don't ing read it. (Excuse my french). I don't read any of the featured fics in all honesty, and if you haven't read ALL of them who are you to judge if they all or not?

Nichiren the site owner, doesn't pick the featured stories it's all done by a computer system.

The author's didn't ask to be featured, I'm sure some of them probably made a dozen accounts to try and get featured O__O But wouldn't it be hard remembering all those user-names and passwords?

But anywho back on topic here:

Realisim in fanfiction, for certain topics I think it's a good thing.

But for gangster fics, highschool fics, etc...do we really have to be 'realistic' with those? No I don't believe we do because I'm gonna say it again...IT'S JUST FAN FICTION.
